At least one useful thing Trump seems to have done is damp down this DEI and PC nonsense and turn us back to some sort of normality ie. real life. Disney+ has said it is winding in its trigger warnings before a film starts, such as stereotyping or language that may offend. I’ve never been convinced many people are triggered by these things. Life happened before any of us were born and names were used we don’t use now out of courtesy, but the one thing it always does is control speech. Or as the American comedian George Carlin used to describe it, political correctness is fascism disguised as manners.
Any ideology can use similar excuses because they all have their own trigger words and words they have no problem with. Maybe Trump can get us some comedy back, too. They almost killed comedy.
