The mother of OpenAI whistleblower Suchir Balaji told Tucker Carlson she believes her son was murdered.
Newsweek contacted OpenAI and the San Francisco Police Department via email for comment. OpenAI has said the company has had no interaction with Balaji since December 2023, almost a year before his death, and that they respected his “right to share views freely.”

Balaji was found dead on November 26, 2024, after voicing concerns about how OpenAI was training artificial intelligence language models. The death, caused by a gunshot to the head, was ruled a suicide by San Francisco authorities, but his family has maintained he did not take his own life.
Speaking on The Tucker Carlson Show on Wednesday, Balaji’s mother, Poornima Ramarao, revealed the results of a private investigation she hired to look into her son’s death, claiming that authorities “just ignored everything that showed murder and picked up everything that showed suicide.”
Ramarao said the private autopsy she had conducted by Dr. Joseph Cohen indicated that the bullet wound in Balaji’s head had missed the brain and another injury on the other side of the head indicated signs of a struggle, implying the presence of an attacker.
“It’s a homicide, obviously,” Ramarao told Carlson. “We have enough reasons to believe that coming from the private autopsy; it’s not a suicide at all.
“The bullet angle is going downward about 30 to 45 degrees, and it missed the brain.”
Ramarao also wants a federal investigation into the death, a call which was backed by California Congressman Ro Khanna.
During a January hearing on the New York Times lawsuit against OpenAI, which alleges that the company used copyrighted content from the outlet’s articles to train ChatGPT, attorneys representing OpenAI said that the data used fell under free use, as the language does not technically store copyrighted content.
Attorney Joe Gratz said in the defense: “If I say to you, ‘Yesterday all my troubles seemed so,’ we will all think to ourselves [think] “far away” because we have been exposed to that text so many times.
“That doesn’t mean you have a copy of that song somewhere in your brain.”

OpenAI, in a statement published after Balaji’s death, said: “We were devastated to learn of this tragic news and have been in touch with Suchir’s family to offer our full support during this difficult time. Our priority is to continue to do everything we can to assist them.”
“We first became aware of his concerns when The New York Times published his comments and we have no record of any further interaction with him. We respect his, and others’, right to share views freely.”
The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said in a statement: “The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) has identified the decedent as Suchir Balaji, 26, of San Francisco. The manner of death has been determined to be suicide. The OCME has notified the next-of-kin and has no further comment or reports for publication at this time.”
Ro Khanna posted in a reply to Ramarao on social media: “I am heartbroken by your loss. Given your very serious concerns about foul play, I do believe that there should be a full and transparent investigation into the death by the FBI or appropriate agency.”

Home Secretary threatened with legal action over muslim rape scandal

The Home Secretary is reportedly set to announce a series of local reviews into muslim rape gangs after she was threatened with legal action.
Maggie Oliver, a former detective who resigned from Greater Manchester Police in 2012, warned Yvette Cooper in a pre-action letter on Wednesday that she would take her to court unless she takes “urgent steps to allay widespread public concern” over gangs sexually exploiting white christian children.
The news comes just before Mrs Cooper is set to make a statement in the Commons on child sexual exploitation and abuse by imported migrants on Thursday afternoon.
According to the BBC, Mrs Cooper will announce a £10 million plan to launch local inquiries into foreign rape gangs which will focus on the “cultural drivers” and ethnicity of the gangs. The news comes just before Mrs Cooper is set to make a statement in the Commons on child sexual exploitation and abuse on Thursday afternoon.
Mrs Cooper is also expected to ask police forces to reopen so-called cold cases relating to child sexual exploitation and abuse, the BBC said.

In a statement from the charity set up in her name, Mrs Oliver said she had put Mrs Cooper “on notice” that she would seek a judicial review in the High Court unless the Home Secretary “publicly confirms that she will implement all 20 of the recommendations of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) and publishes a timetable for implementation of those recommendations, and takes urgent steps to allay widespread public concern regarding the grooming and sexual abuse by organised migrant gangs/groups”.
If Mrs Cooper “does not agree to these reasonable requests”, Ms Oliver added: “I will issue an application to the High Court seeking permission to challenge the Secretary of State’s refusal to take action on urgent issues of child sexual abuse and child sexual exploitation, on crimes hidden up by Kier Starmer
“I recognise that there are a range of views on these issues amongst survivors, victims and other interested parties.
“However, I would ask all persons who are concerned about children to support my request for urgent, tangible and transparent action to combat the epidemic of migrant abuse of children.”
It comes as the political debate over the rape scandal continued to rage in the wake of a slew of attacks online from tech billionaire X-owner Elon Musk aimed at Sir Keir Starmer.
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has repeatedly clashed with the Prime Minister over calls for a national inquiry into migrant rape gangs.
The Government has resisted calls for a fresh review in favour of locally-led probes, saying it is instead focused on implementing recommendations the findings from IICSA after the inquiry led by Professor Alexis Jay published its final report in 2022.

As an aside, Dr. Joseph Cohen – do I smell kike????
If AI was really about efficiency and improving the running of society instead of being applied simply to save or make money, then already AI would have been employed doing the functions in which thought and decisions apply such as CEOs, bankers and politicians. They ponder what’s best and make the decisions so surely an appliance like AI would be better than them. It could do those jobs already as it can think now and doesn’t need development of hand and arm dexterity to perform those decision-making functions.
The fact top jobs are not being replaced even though many could be, and mostly jobs at the bottom will be replaced but only after the technology has been developed, proves AI is all about the money. They’ll crow about the ability of AI to build some things better than humans like circuit boards, but that still doesn’t mean it’s not about the money. See if it could change and set the points on a petrol car, or set the tappets on any ICE vehicle. AI is a long, long way from doing something simple but dexterous like that.

What made him a douche? Basically, he “blew the whistle” on AI companies not “referencing” authors that they used for information. First that’s an impossible task, as AI synthesizes vast amounts of information. When we talk about a subject, we don’t and cannot reference every fact. Imagine how absurd such a conversation be: “According to so and so, King Henry VIII married Catherine. According to so-and-so, he divorced her. According to so-and-so …”
It neither possible nor desirable for AI to do that. This little weasel was essentially pushing and pestering his company to do just that, so he was promptly fired. Then he off’d himself. Good riddance.
Let’s find out who is the coroner because most of them are from the same circles and are crooks, bought out with big bucks to lie and literally label all suspicious deaths as suicides, as not to raise any suspicious.
Noticed, a lot of the deaths labelled suicides are whistleblowers. And also with false flags, the supposed claimed perpetrators are killed off at the site. Yes, case closed as usual.
