Syrian forces have executed precise airstrikes on terrorist positions in the northwest, destroying an operation room of the Hayat al-Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
That is according to a statement from the General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces.
The statement detailed that the strikes also resulted in the destruction of three warehouses containing various munitions, as well as dozens of vehicles and armored units along the battlefronts over the past 24 hours.
Additionally, it was reported that more than 200 terrorists were eliminated, including leaders from foreign nationalities, and over 20 drones launched by terrorists towards villages and towns were shot down.
“Our valiant armed forces continue to target groups, positions, headquarters, and moving convoys of terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of Hama and Idlib, utilizing artillery, missiles, and joint Syrian-Russian airstrikes,” the statement noted.
The General Command also indicated that military reinforcements of various types are continuously arriving for their forces, who are “heroically engaged in fierce battles on the frontlines, particularly along axes in the northern countryside of Hama.”
Foreign-backed terrorists led by the HTS launched a surprise assault in the Aleppo and Idlib countryside, overrunning several villages and towns before advancing towards Aleppo on November 27.
However, Syrian forces have halted their progress and are actively working to regain control of the lost territories.
These terrorist organizations aim to undermine the Syrian government’s efforts to restore security and stability amid frequent aggressions from the Israeli regime.
Israel has been a principal supporter of terrorist factions opposing President Bashar al-Assad’s democratically elected government since the onset of foreign-backed militancy in Syria in 2011.
