Powerless people are finding out they can influence things only if
1) they are billionaires and above it all or
2) they are totally powerless with nothing to lose.
The odd fact is that amongst Europeans, powerless people have often made a difference. When Americans were busted and flat on their backs in the depression, the created a liberal order that allowed for prosperity in the years following WWII. It was not an accident.
Now is the same: The national debt will swamp the nation and people who insist they are “middle class” are about to be swamped in the financial collapse.
It’s important to understand — the deep state allowed Trump to win because they know the economy would collapse real soon and he would be blamed. But Trump does not matter.
What matters is people will fend for themselves again and, like in the 1930s, create a new system. It will happen elsewhere too. The only direction now is up.

Certainly, here in Australia we have similar problems to which he describes, admittedly not as bad as the US.
