What the US is really saying to the resource-rich nations of the world is, “Either accept to have the resources of the world put in a “world trust” for the benefit of the larger corporate and oligarch stakeholder interests (meaning mainly the US and Western status quo of ownership and control), or we will destroy your nation, and take and control your resources as we have done in Iraq and around the world.”
However, Russia is not a weak nation and will not back down, so they will simply have to carve up the Ukraine, pretending that independently it could never survive on its own which is a lie. I’ve not watched or read, or whatever, but saying Putin is not the problem, this is not fair.
Sure, Putin rebuilt Russia. Now the fourth largest economy in the world, and if you ask for my honest opinion on this point, Russia is only second to China, and I’m not saying this because I’m pro Russian, I’m saying it based on hard facts.
Putin also ordered the entirely new raft of weapons, and Putin was clearly the No1 global statesman, while Lavrov is by far the world’s leading diplomat, and in my view, eclipsing Kissinger the war criminal, but these great strengths highlight weaknesses.
