Yes, I agree, but Henry Makow doesn’t understand why. It’s the Holy Bible, the Holy Bible is Satan’s manual. Nearly everyone I know holds the this Jewish Bible as holy and good, they have them in their homes, they listen to Bible verse at church, they believe in that book as the “word of god”
Until you overcome your Christian religious indoctrination, you are Satan’s willing servant. You think that being a good Christian or Catholic is godly, you think the Jews are closer to God, you hold Israel and Jews in reverance. I was raised in a very strict Catholic household. My mom was 100% Irish and my dad 100% German. I went to private Catholic school for 12 years, I was taught by nuns, I was their star student, and I was taught to hold the Jews as God’s chosen people. So you were taught that the jews are God’s chosen. Well I guess Iwas too. And I believed it all too. Until I studied the bible more thoroughly. Constant studying both the bible and secular history has showed me not to hold up the jews as God’s chosen. Were the jews of the time of Jesus even the same as the ashkenazi ones of now. Jews or Judeans ?? Either way Jesus did not speak well of them.
I do agree though that a big problem is the millions of christians who listen to what they are told without doing their due diligence in checking it all out. If only they all honestly searched it out perhaps support for what is called Israel would dwindle fast.
As for christianity being so evil, maybe we should remember the dedicated christians who campaigned relentlessly for the abolishment of slavery in the British empire against the desires of the jewish slave traders. He ought to know by now that the decent people who live by the laws of God and Christian standards never really get to positions of power to direct anything, and even their own religious denominations. However, what he rails about in Catholicism are entirely the wrong things and likely because of life-style conflicts with the actual traditional moral teachings of the Church. Such conflict and rejection of the essential teachings of one’s Catholic faith is often the result of never having actually personally accepted Christ as you king, master and saviour in your life, and often found with people who live only by externals, and never really grown in the faith. As for the failing leadership in my Church, that comes down to the very same problem.
Those of us left in the world who have clear standards of right and wrong based on the person of Christ , despite our failures, are a distinct minority in and outside of my Church. With the suppression of the belief in the Christian God by the secular forces, the kicking of Him and his authority well outside of the public square in virtually all respects, and in our secular lives, and especially in such a hedonistic, agnostic, and materialistic culture it ought to be no surprise that even the term ‘morality’ has become virtually meaningless. We have now for so many generations lived without any real faith and universal moral principles as a civilization, that even our laws with respect to murder and stealing have lost most of their substance and power. To discuss whether the wars of the war-mongering US nation are “just” or “unjust” there simply are no universal standards in the minds of the people, let alone in their corrupt leaders, to judge anything with any sense of right and wrong. I now fear that nation and all those which follow it are about to be very severely judged and chastised.
Without a belief in God being perfect and all good, and ultimately just in all respects, despite the exceptions and evil which exist in the world, there can be no real meaning to the idea evil or any ultimate standard of right and wrong to judge evil, and even for people such as Yukon Jack, or Henry Makow in their complaints about Satanism or rampant evil in our midst. Because we frail humans, who at least can see the need for and have a connection to that divine presence, so often fail as religious or moral leaders or to the meet the high standards of the Yukon Jack’s of the world, does not mean we should stop trying to right things and improve that moral leadership. The fact is that we NEED STRONG MORAL STANDARDS ROOTED IN AND COMING FROM THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE AUTHOITITY OVER ALL THINGS, INCLUDING OURSELVES. The backslidings and failings of the Hebrew people in the Old Testament are evidence of the necessity of that relationship for their survival as a people, as are God’s constant corrections and rescue operations, culminating with his own personal presence in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. On a personal level it come down to a simple choice.
If you do not believe in God and to think that our moral laws do not have to be rooted in and from an all-powerful and all-good God, you will surely end up as a moral relativist, or you will end up with a morality without any real motive power for anything prescriptive. In the final analysis when we put our rationalism first we tend to end up replacing the power of faith and trust in God with things such as natural law theory, or the Kantian categorical imperative, or utilitarianism, or some rationalistic system where we end up putting understanding first. Yet, the fact is that instead of our theologians with their great intellects simply being technicians to aid the faith, they end up with such complexities that few can understand them, and none of their theories have any emotive power really to improve anything
In the adage that necessity is the mother of invention, we have the truth that necessity is the author of becoming and what is most real. We are herein given a very practical proof not just for the moral necessity of an all-good and perfect God, but also because that is what we so desperately need to improve and even to survive, then it must be the case by our natures that He does exist, and does exist personally for each of us.
If there is a climb for any of us into the realm of spiritual perfection, or to come near to and connect in our crude way to the Perfect Being, then that not only ought to be the proof in the pudding, but also the guide and basis for our morality to govern our affairs down here. Also, it is that very direction which Satan constantly tries to thwart.
