The vessels included the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt and its accompanying warships, and the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, a three-ship amphibious task force that includes more than 4,000 Marines and sailors, the official told The Washington Post, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

The USS Theodore Roosevelt was in the Persian Gulf on Wednesday with six U.S. destroyers. In the eastern Mediterranean were the three amphibious ships and two destroyers, according to the Washington Post.
No U.S. warships were in the Red Sea, where the U.S. military has tangled in recent days with the Houthis group in Yemen that has launched numerous attacks against commercial and military ships over the past several months.

The crew of the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt will be worried. Some of them were probably crew members a few years ago when the US made threats against Iran and from the Caspian Sea a Russian vessel sent 26 missiles towards its general area. The 26 was said to reference Teddy Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States and hinted at the carrier. If there’s conflict and they didn’t heed that warning there’s every chance one of Iran’s allies will strike it. Whether it remains afloat or sinks is up to their god Mammon, but where he’s involved even things that rake in vast sums of money are still maintained cheap.
I wouldn’t bet on it surviving. What I would bet on is America calling for a pause in hostilities as they try to rescue its survivors. That doesn’t happen in war but they will demand it and they will call it a war crime if hostilities continue and their navy still gets shot at.
