The world’s first climate-related social rewards scheme came into being two weeks ago, when the city of Copenhagen officially launched it’s new “CopenPay” system.
Through the CopenPay scheme, tourists visiting the city will be rewarded for “green actions” – such as using public transportation or cycling – with access to “cultural experiences”, free meals etc.
For example, arriving at the CopenHill dry ski slope by foot or on a bike will get you 20 free minutes of ski time, while anyone who volunteers at an organic urban farm will get a free lunch (vegetarian, naturally).
The official CopenPay website describes the purpose of the system as follows:
…to encourage sustainable behaviour and enrich the cultural experience of visitors and residents in Copenhagen by transforming green actions into currency for cultural experiences.
WonderfulCopenhagen.com adds:
There is a need to change the mindset of tourists and encourage green choices […]Through CopenPay we therefore aim to incentivize tourists’ sustainable behaviour while enriching their cultural experience of our destination. It is an experimental and a small step towards creating a new mindset […] The hope is not only to continue the pilot project, but also to inspire other cities around the world to introduce similar initiatives.
Now, complimentary organic meals and free windsurfing lessons might seem benign enough, but any talk of “changing mindset” and/or “encouraging behaviour” makes my brain itch.
It’s pretty easy to see through the happy-clappy tone of the promotion to the heart of the issue, it’s right there in their own words: Transforming green actions into currency.
This is climate change based behavioral modification. This is a social credit system. Small scale and optional, sure, but there’s no denying that’s what it is.
For now it’s optional and only for tourists. They are testing the waters. Barring a catastrophic failure it won’t stay that way for long. They likely won’t ever make it mandatory to take part, rather – like bank accounts and cellphones – opting out will simply be too difficult for most people to bother with.
Eventually “rewarding green actions” will segue into “punishing non-green actions”. The currency of “cultural experiences” replaced with actual currency.
This isn’t guesswork. We don’t have to guess where this leads, because we know. They told us. They laid out the world they want to build, and this is just one of the first bricks.

Copenhagen is a tourist honey pot, but how do the sheeple get there for their weekend city breaks? The fly, mostly.
Get 20 minutes free, but you’ll pay for the next hour or two, and a free vegetarian meal, well, that’s not a meal in my book.
Of course, this is Nazi behavioural control, and conditioning. Denmark could just close the airport, that could be green, but sheeple would fly to other destinations.

I remember when Greens always publicised about 120 problems we need to solve and then it all got boiled down into CO2/climate, and then even carbon, the most important element in life (such that Carbon Chemistry used to be called Organic Chemistry). In about 1987 there was a brief flirtation with making Ozone Depletion the big head-ache; you see how easily these things are thrown to the kerb when they hit on a new “problem” to be the centre-piece
It won’t work in practise and the systems crash it will cause will too big to talk of ironing out the creases. It’s an unnatural system never been tried before, to replace a system that’s always worked and everybody understood enough about it to make it work, and as it ties in everything else that’ll all go down with it. I don’t see it surviving the move from concept to Main Street.
They must either want everything to crash to bring in a Mad Max world and most of us will be dead inside a year; or they know that after it crashes we’ll all scream for cash again and they’ve got a new currency system printed and minted and ready to go. But its values will be very different, ensuring those who issue it will skim vast fortunes on financial mechanisms like pay rates, income and purchase taxes, mortgage interest and small loan rates–almost like moving your money from one pocket to another is an exchange that incurs a tax. Not quite that bad but almost. It will be a mafia grift against the 99% of us.

These green schemes- all tied to current virtue signalling anti dairy, anti meat, anti autonomous behaviour- extolling allegedly low carbon footprint ventures such as solar farms, massive windmill building across farmland , have already greatly diminished bird and insect populations. But hey, it’s green (and above all enriches venture capitalists and crook politicians seeking permits to build more of these destructive things. ) The useful life of these green energy farms is around 10 years top and then they will be left disfiguring the landscape or costing billions to dismantle. Cool eh?

So, these seemingly ‘benign’ measures to encourage (incalcate ) green behviours’choices’ in tourists are spurious and sinister, the author is correct , as the Regimes want to restrict all movement wherever possible, Convid was a great learning curve for them and likely staggered by the docility and capitulation of the populace. Their appetite is whetted: electric cars which are very expensive, still have a short range and short unreliable life compared to conventional cars are an ideal. Regimes wish to return to a Feudal system wherby serfs never actually leave their village but are kept in check by the digital sticks & carrots – movement monitored, panopticum conditions, penalties for mal-behaviour via social-credit but the illusion of ‘choice’ and allowing people to wallow in narcissim on their ever obsolete and expensive phone, the virtual carrot for donkeys who actually go nowhere.

An additional note about electric cars . The elements such as cobalt, lithium, copper etc needed for batteries don’t exist on earth in sufficient quantities to convert even a small percentage of gas and diesel powered vehicles to electric
@markie Thanks for that, plus the huge environmental damage done by mining these scarce resources and transporting them to battery factories assembly plants etc- another pretext for war over resources too. Electric cars are very heavy, damage roads and use huge wasteful tyres, itself a very toxic/dangerous pollutant in the air.
Yet little research is funded (or allowed?) for proper viable hydrogen propulsion which could create vehicles that produced just steam as an emission and use water to generate fuel combustion cells with long reliable life for cars. Why not? Well, lobbies and monopolies are not interested in this, the nuke electric industry would vanish and how can you monopolise or patent renewable water? No money in it, no wastefulness, no scare factor, no mass control-must never happen.
