Israel has set up a committee to meet the needs of soldiers suffering from mental health and psychological problems since the start of the regime’s barbarous campaign in Gaza in early October 2023.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the regime’s ministry for military affairs said the committee will be tasked with treating soldiers who have suffered mental health issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
According to the statement, about 36 percent of the 9,400 injured have been suffering from mental health issues.
The rehabilitation division of the ministry estimates that by the end of the year, at least 5,600 will struggle with mental disorders.
Israeli media have reported a surge in mental health disorder among settlers and soldiers following Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by the Palestinian resistance fighters in October.
Last month, Israeli authorities said the number of disabled Israeli soldiers had surpassed the 70,000 mark for the first time.
On June 7, 2024, Israeli soldier Eliran Mizrahi took his own life after he was called back to war while suffering from PTSD and two injuries.
A research showed in March that over half a million of Israelis are at risk of developing PTSD in the aftermath of the barbarous brutality in Gaza.Similarly, a report by Bloomberg earlier revealed the rapidly increasing number of injuries among Israeli soldiers generates “invisible costs” for the campaign in Gaza

I heard the reason so many US soldiers have PTSD with many killing themselves is the guilt from what they did to innocent people or witnessed in their illegal wars. That kind of guilt is a terrible burden. The Israelis have never shown any such guilt so their PTSD must come from the cowardice of being shot at and knowing your opponent has every good reason to want you dead. What you are saying is established psychological fact, and it is a great tragedy to us all that moral relativism holds such sway in our educational systems, and also that the higher one aspires in any power structure the more rarefied become the airs of any morality to survive.
I recall some books by a brilliant psychiatrist, Dr. Phillip Ney, who specialized in treating mainly women for post-abortion syndrome. He also treated men who were parties to the abortions, and many children who in some way were rejected or abused by their mothers who had previous abortions. He called them “abortion survivors”. As for the women who had abortions, he said that most were in denial, and that they would “act out” in their lives over and over again that which was not resolved within them, causing harm to the other survivors. He also said that it is a fundamental law of nature that there are serous psychological consequences for killing your own kind.
Self defence appears to resolve a lot of the inner conflict when it comes to killing combatants, but when you go about killing innocent people or any innocent person, even if under orders to do so, and being told lies such they are “sub human” or a “future threat”, then deep down one is likely to really know the truth and be disturbed. For deep wounds, such pretexts are only like band aids hiding the real harms until the infection manifests in different ways. What goes around comes around, as the saying goes.

He repented and received absolution. His PTSD disappeared and he became a widely respected pro-life leader, and through his work he likely saved millions lives and souls from being shredded in the abortion industry.
