Denmark’s general population should stock up on enough supplies to last them three days should crisis hit, authorities say.
The Danish Emergency Management Service (Beredsskabstyrelsen, DEMA) has issued advice for the general public to have certain supplies at home so that they are prepared in the event of a crisis.
On its website, the agency has published a list of provisions [currently only in Danish] it recommends all homes have on hand in the event of a crisis.
That includes enough water for three litres per person per day.
The provisions should be enough to last three days according to DEMA’s recommendations.
“If you can manage for three days in a crisis, authorities can focus on helping the vulnerable and restoring normality,” it says in the published advice.
At a briefing on Saturday, Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen also said that everyone in Denmark should have enough supplies at home to survive for three days.
“We must have enough water and food to get by for three days. We need to have sufficient medicine and first aid. To be able to keep warm when it’s cold. And to be able to manage without electricity,” Poulsen said.
The food should be of a type which is not stored in a refrigerator and can be eaten without heating with an oven or stove. Crisp bread (knækbrød in Danish) was given as an example.
Recommendations from authorities that the general public should be prepared for a crisis may seem alarming, with DEMA outlining the type of events that could be the cause of such situations.
These can include natural events like extreme weather or human acts like cyber attacks or sabotage.
Poulsen stressed that Denmark is not under immediate threat of conventional military attack.
But the risk of a “hybrid attack”, which could, for example, disrupt electricity supplies is genuine according to the minister.
The advisory to have crisis supplies in stock can help authorities to more easily respond to such as situation, he also said.
In addition to water and food, the recommended supplies also include medicine as well as hygiene items like toilet paper, disinfectant and sanitary items.
Blankets are also likely to be needed if it is cold.
An important item in many crisis situations is a mobile phone, DEMA says.
“You can contact members of your family, for example, and you can find out information about the incident,” it says.
“With a power bank or battery pack, you can keep mobile phones working in the event of local power outages. In the event of major or prolonged power outages, telephone networks and the Internet may be affected or go down,” it adds.

Denmark is quite wealthy country, unlike bankrupt Britain.
Three days backup, and probably 4 days in the cupboards and fridge freezer, that’s a week, and if rationed, to two weeks. Sounds like a long bank holiday to me.
Never too late to start prepping, if you can. Try for three months of none perishables, and only things you’ll eat. Tinned potatoes are expensive, so rice and pasta.

I lived in New Orleans when the devastating hurricane Katrina hit. I was stunned at how utterly unprepared so many people were, especially since you have advanced warnings of an approaching hurricane and history shows that area gets pummeled by devastating storms every couple decades. Yet, the masses of dimwits had little to nothing ready, let alone in reserve. I had food, water, ammo, and batteries to last for weeks…and we unfortunately needed the ammo because it turned into the wild west meets niggers gone wild for a while…
My neighborhood, which was heavily battered but did not suffer the catastrophic flooding, was without power for a couple of months…and my neighborhood was among the first where it was restored. Other parts of the city were without power, water, and other services for several months, and it was about a year before services were restored in the hardest hit parts of the city.
It was actually quite nice for about a year after the rolling gun battles in the street subsided. I mean the devastation was horrific, but there was a calm, cordial, idyllic peace in the city because all the street simian urbanites were gone. They were either shot to death in the streets for looting or attempted rape or fled when they realized they couldn’t exploit the city or the system any longer. See, niggers don’t like to work, particularly in (re)building a society, so they vamoosed in droves, and the crime rates soared in the unfortunate cities in which they ended up. To this day, a lot of places suffer from Katrina Regret for opening their arms and their towns to the much worse than merely worthless “refugees”, or rapefugees as Lewis Jones brilliantly labeled that type. Anyway, it was chaos for a couple weeks, then violent crime was practically non-existent for about a year. It took treating savages with the only thing that makes them straighten the f*ck up; focused, resolute violence in return for their senselessly violent actions and behaviors.
Anyway, you’d better have more than a mere 3 days worth of supplies on hand. If you’re relying on the “government” cartel to rescue you, you’re going to be sorry. I mean, they already treated you like total shit during the convid-1984 war and showed they want you dead. And if blacks comprise any more than 1% of your population, expect the savages to get real nasty real fast and chaos to ensue in a grid-down situation.
