Off-Guardian – June 10, 2024
Our successor to This Week in the Guardian, This Week in the New Normal is our weekly chart of the progress of autocracy, authoritarianism and economic restructuring around the world.
1. Rishi is throwing the election
We wrote in our piece on Rishi Sunak’s national service pledge that the Tories were not trying to win the UK’s upcoming election, this week only proves our point.
Firstly, on D-Day, Rishi left the ceremony early for unknown reasons, purely so he could be accused of disrespecting the troops. An absolutely ridiculous move for a Tory leader supposedly contesting an election. It could not be more obviously self-sabotaged if he’d turned up drunk and shirtless chanting “I love the Nazis, I wish we’d lost!”
It was also announced yesterday that the Tories will be suspending ALL social media campaigning due to “lack of funds”.
Couple that with Farage’s political rebirth “accidentally” splitting the Tory vote, and it’s pretty obvious what’s happening here.
2. UK “e coli outbreak” and the “unknown food item”
More anti-food news this week, when the UK’s Health Security Agency reported an “e-coli outbreak” that has so far resulted in 113 cases all across the country.
The weird thing is that despite publicly announcing it was likely linked to a “food product”, they have not released any details – no specific products, no brands, not even any particular type of food.
Which, basically, means one of three things is going on here…
- It’s a real outbreak, and they know what caused it, but some MPs have shares in the company responsible.
- It’s a real outbreak, and they know it has nothing to do with food but want to scare people and normalize “food warnings”.
- The whole thing is a psy-op and the vagueness spreads the widest possible net of suspicion whilst they do some backroom negotiations on who has to be the patsy.
Smart money right now is on 3, with the “food product” in question almost certainly being meat and/or dairy related.
3. Eating Bugs. Again.
Speaking of food, there’s been a sudden increase in “eat ze bugs” propaganda this week, with a particular focus on cicadas for some reason. An interview published a few days ago by Scientific American headlines:
Snacking on Cicadas Can Be Sustainable and Delicious
In it, Joseph Yoon – founder of Brooklyn Bugs and something called an “edible insects ambassador” – extolls the many virtues of eating cicadas, from the “nutty flavor” to the environmental benefits.
Meanwhile, Yahoo News wants you to know cicadas have “as much protein as red meat” and are “literally a superfood”, as well as the usual environmental stuff. The headline supposedly warns of “health risks”, but that’s just a veneer of impartiality, and only refers to potential allergies. It’s a puff piece through and through.
Body and Soul magazine suggests edible insects are “the snack of the future”.
ABC is weighing in too, asking:
Should people eat insects instead of meat?
…you’ll never guess what the answer is.
4. Europe’s First Biometric Check-outs
Credit giant Mastercard is teaming up with fintech company PayEye and Polish supermarket Empik to run Europe’s first pilot scheme for biometric checkouts.
Selected Empik stores across Poland will have biometric iris scanners installed at their checkouts, enabling customers to “pay with a glance”.
Isn’t technology exciting?
BONUS: Odd story of the week
British celebrity Doctor Michael Mosely went missing while on holiday in Greece five days ago, and yesterday a body was found which is now confirmed to be his.
This is very sad for his friends and family, to be sure…but I have no idea why it would receive wall-to-wall coverage across every major paper and news channel for over 48 hours straight. Can’t help but think it means something, but I couldn’t tell you what.
It’s not all bad…
This weekend marks the 75th Anniversary of the publication of Orwell’s seminal 1984, to mark it here are few of our favourite quotes, which are not as famous as others but just as relevant.
For example, his description of the purpose of war:
“The essential act of war is destruction, not necessarily of human lives, but of the products of human labour. War is a way of shattering to pieces, or pouring into the stratosphere, or sinking in the depths of the sea, materials which might otherwise be used to make the masses too comfortable, and hence, in the long run, too intelligent.”
The importance of individual, internal resistance:
“He was a lonely ghost uttering a truth that nobody would ever hear. But so long as he uttered it, in some obscure way the continuity was not broken. It was not by making yourself heard but by staying sane that you carried on the human heritage.”
And the nature of The Beast:
“The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power […] Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.”
And on a lighter note, here’s Bob Moran on the UK’s Election…

All told a pretty hectic week for the new normal crowd, and we didn’t even mention Putin announcing BRICS’ own payment system.
There’s a lot of change in the air, a lot of agendas in the works, if you see a headline, article, post or interview you think is a sign of the times, post it in the comments, email us or share it on social media and we will add it to the next edition.

Support Off-Guardian:

Michael Mosley was a deep state shit pipe, and the truth, he probably jumped. They say he ‘stumbled’. This doctor constantly ranted about how you (as in, it’s your fecking responsibility) can fix health issues, and eak out a few more months of life. It’s the constant Nazi fear mechanism that if you do what we say, you’ll live longer.
You’d never get a doctor on TV have a long media career by saying, ‘Thicko sheeple acquire early illnesses and die younger than they should, because UK work culture is terrible, debt culture is evil, and the social contract no longer exists, and this is the reason for declining health and poor life expectancy.
Take the shameful life expectancy between East and West Glasgow. It’s a fecking shocker, or just the fact that Glasgow is the early sheeple death hole of Europe. Nowhere even comes close, but Dr Michael Mosley would never campaign on this, because he’d never presstitute for the Daily Fail, or ramble his bullshit on TV.
My take, he was 67, he probably knew something was up with his health, or his years of lying to the sheeple had caught up with him, he was depressed, and threw himself over the edge, and they say he stumbled. It’s like the fake news reports that x sheeple ‘fell’ from a window, or balcony, but the truth, they jumped, and the Fail always has a Samaritans contact, but no mention of suicide. Nazi murders are suicides, and suicides are falls, or stumbles. He couldn’t bear returning to his wife, his toxic life, and after reflection, on Symi (I’ve been there and done the walk), he didn’t want to go home.
As to the ecoli, does it even matter. If it’s not infected meat, it’s bird flu, a bioweapon.
Sunak might be throwing the one party Nazi state election, but Starmer doesn’t appear to want to win it either. While Starmer is a a Nazi, I bet he doesn’t want to be the PM who gets the UK nuked, and Sunak probably fells the same way. It’s like the deep state producer keeps running on the rehearsal stage with new even more diabolical lines, and the actors aren’t interested. Macron has just called a snap election, because he and France needs an exit ramp, and Le Pen gives it to them.
Could all these Nazi coin flips be an attempt to avert a nuclear WW3, and that the Russians have been told to hold their horses back, and give us some time to sort it out.
I’m not saying this is what’s happening, but it could be.
If so, don’t be fooled that the Nazis have given up. They just want more time. Putin is an old man, maybe they’ll try another route, or they’ll wait.
I say this as Russian ships and nuke subs heads to Cuba. The last time this happened, they weren’t warships, but the Soviets won the Cuban Missile Crisis, even so.
As for the UK, maybe Reform, a Nazi construct, will privide Nazi UK with and exit ramp?
As they still won’t tell us whether these bugs we’re supposed to eat will be in the grub or the adult stage, nor how they’ll be sold (fresh, dried, bulk, ready-cooked etc) or how we cook them, it’s clear there’ll be no bugs and it’s all really a starvation plan. Teasing us by saying we’ll eat bugs so we won’t starve shows just how much contempt the mass-murdering scum have for us. The Nazis didn’t say that and the Zionists won’t say it to the Palestinians or people would immediately know the future they have planned for us.
They want us eating what they have to eat in Gaza. Rodents, then pets, then grass, then nothing.
BARCLAYS BANK TARGETTED
Barclays banks across the UK have ben targetted for its funding of IDF terrorism and sponsoring weapons and torture equipment sales to israel
The branch in Bradford has been hit with red paint, with pro-Palestine activists claiming responsibility.
The Palestine Action group said its demonstrators were behind the incident at the Market Street branch on Monday.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remained in custody, West Yorkshire Police said.
A woman, 54, was also arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and has been bailed pending further inquiries.
Palestine Action claimed responsibility via X, saying Barclays had links to Israeli defence manufacturer Elbit and the IDF
In a statement on its website, Barclays says: “It is not true . but We note that Elbit is highlighted because campaigners claim it makes cluster bombs.
West Yorkshire Police said inquiries were ongoing.
A Barclays branch in Manchester was also targeted in a similar incident claimed by Palestine Action.
The people of the UK are fully behind palestine, and demand an end to all israeli terrorism
At this point in time there is enough meat .. the more vegans the better ..
I am not so sure about 2027 and after when the extinction level is around 10% .. for all forms of life ..
“Rishi left the ceremony early for unknown reasons, purely so he could be accused of disrespecting the troops.” … “It could not be more obviously self-sabotaged if he’d turned up drunk and shirtless chanting “I love the Nazis, I wish we’d lost!” … While Rishi Street-Shitter Sunak is a loathsome sack of reeking pig vomit and a festering cunt, I couldn’t give a rat’s ass that he left the D-Day circle-jerk early and was seen as “disrespecting the troops”. The collection of dangerously stupid otherwise known as “the troops” need to be pimp-slapped with the hard truth, and a big rubber dong, that they fought for the Jew World Order, otherwise known as The. Wrong. F*cking. Side.
I made a comment on another piece a few weeks ago that mentioned how it used to be that the veterans who were lucky enough to go home in one piece after the carnage never really spoke of their military days, certainly not the combat actions, and tried to live with the horror and shame with whatever silent dignity they could muster. My paternal grandfather flew, at 16 years old, in WWI in a shit-bucket biplane, and nobody in the family even knew about it until decades later when who remained as his old squadron mates had a reunion. Even then, he STILL didn’t want to speak of it to his sons, one a Captain in the Marine Corps and one, my father, a special forces Green Beret. That’s the way veterans were for centuries; they did what they thought was their duty then they shut the f*ck about it.
I mentioned how before 9/11 and the obscene mantric glorification of Support the Troops™ (no matter how illegal and morally repugnant their actions) and the repetitive festering bullshit of The Greatest Generation™ forced down the throats of the masses of dimwits, that we couldn’t tell a WWII vet from a fire hydrant. But those aging imbeciles eagerly bought into the reeking hype, out went the quiet dignity/shame, and every one of those geezers starting sporting a “WWII VETERAN” hat every f*cking where they went because they craved to be recognized and gushed over by imbeciles chanting “The Greatest Generation™!! *gasp* Thank you for your service”™. When what they should have been told was the truth, “You served the wrong side, dumb-f*ck, and you are one of the reasons we are in this shit mess.”
They are playing it up a bit about Sunak disrespecting our veterans by leaving the D-Day service early. Elitists don’t care about rank-and-file veterans, so if they’re using D-Day veterans to lay into Sunak for political reasons they’re abusing veterans again. Not only that, but our surviving veterans are so poorly treated and left homeless etc that it doesn’t just abuse them, it abuses every veteran who came back over the past thousand years. Like mistreated WWI veterans, just because they’re dead they were veterans at one time and to abuse any veterans is abuse of them all. Few were treated properly after they returned.
They know Starmer isn’t popular enough either to win the election or to make the steal easy, so using veterans to push people away from Sunak towards Starmer is just abusing veterans yet again.
