Cannabis has been legal in Canada for almost six years.
In the United States, cannabis is legal in 38 of 50 states for medical use and 24 states for recreational use. Yet there are practically no articles on the social or political impact of cannabis legalization in the MSM or online. Has legalization improved society?
A friend suggested that nothing has been written because they can’t find anything bad to say, and they don’t want to say anything good.
Makow–I believe Cannabis helps us to access our souls. We are normally trapped in our minds and the mental matrix. Cannabis takes us to the universal. Is Cannabis the Answer for Burned-Out Canadians? and Marijuana Edibles Could Save the World
Your Thoughts: Ubiquitous Cannabis
by Eric Coppolino — (henrymakow.com)
We’ve gone from evil weed and 20-year prison terms to buying cannabis in gas stations and smoke shops, all in about five minutes. But it seems nobody is discussing the potential impacts.
I’m here to open a discussion about the implications and consequences of legal weed showing up nearly everywhere. The first point of conversation is that nobody much is talking about the potential impacts and consequences of such powerful medicine being turned loose on society, just like that.
Like most environmental influences, what ubiquitous cannabis might do is somehow not a conversation, and I’m curious throughts about why. Not long ago, people were serving significant jail terms (I reckon some still are) for something that was held officially to be a danger to society, which at the same time many people did behind closed doors. Now that has reversed. It’s wonderful and anyone may imbibe.

Weed legislation is a major mission of the Israel overlords in their war against the white race– for it generally turns the users of it into apathetic hippie-commie druggie type negrophilic degenerates– thus having no interest in opposing the wog mass invasion of their countries or resisting Whiteocide.
In Hong Kong and China it does not matter who you are, if you are caught with pot you go to jail and I believe it is a six month sentence. Why is that? Do the Chinese know something about the drug making people passive which undermines and fragments their society. Okay, I was a part of the soft drug culture way, way back when the stuff was illegal. When I was rescued by the grace of God from my decadence, I saw immediately how totally incompatible my getting high and substance use was with the real person of Christ. The culture was also a cult and once I stopped using the crap and got serious with life I was an outcast, and I left my chums many of whom are still flitting from leaf to leaf and as far as I can see none of them have any real access to their souls or to God or have really sought to get to the root of things much less than even going to the heavier branches of exercising responsibilities for others.
Since the time of my conversion, I have always believed that when and if Canada legalized pot it would be the end of any real unity and realism in the nation, and the gateway to many other more lethal substances which would be promoted to control, suppress and even kill us, and from everything I have seen, with the way my province has gone with pot shops all over the place, and drug addicts soiling our streets with their crap, I am absolutely right.
As an expert with huge cannabis abuse experience I’ve found out a crucial rule – used wisely ( no more than once a month) cannabis is beneficial and vice-versa if abused ( too much too often) cannabis is harmful.
Just like everything – it’s not the substance that defines toxicity but the dose.
Cannabis is fine, but you’ve gotta know your grower and where it comes from. Understand the differences between sativa and Indica. But, my problem with the legalization is the infestation of Vaping (smoke ) shops, they are everywhere. At every block in every city, I see them in every little town and village all across the states, whether passing through the backwoods of Indiana, or texas, or wherever you see these little shops. Why does it bother me ? Don’t know. But, cannabis use does one thing: it curtails the use and addiction of drugs such as opioids, fentanyl, or whatever new drug our FDA seems to legalize.
‘Cannabis has been legal in Canada for almost six years.. . Yet there are practically no articles on the social or political impact of cannabis legalization in the MSM or online. Has legalization improved society?’
Typical dopehead – Canada and the USA have got exponentially worse in ALL areas – political/social/ materialistic – in the last six years, and he has hasn’t even noticed.
A more valid point of comparison would be to compare the trajectories of Western and Eastern European Societies – namely Russia, as the NATO- friendly muppets like Poland are going down fast – in the last six years.
I am ‘in touch with my spiritual side’ enough to know that Russia is superior spiritually to the West right now.
Spiritual is a vague term – an Orthodox Priest wisely said there is no Spiritual vs. Material – it is all just degrees.
But for goodness sake – it is OBVIOUS Western Society is in free fall and that the future for Western Man lies within Russia.
I have been saying this for years now, and it only ever becomes more obvious with every passing year.
It isn’t that ‘legalising cannabis’ is the problem in itself – it is that the kind of society that legalises cannabis also makes Divorce easy, Abortion easy and then goes on to Assisted Dying, whilst sexualising its children and emasculating its males.
Which is a neat circularity, as cannabis blasts holes in a male’s fertility –
negroes and wogs love weed..then they get these white trollops hooked on it… all scum that needs to go to Moloch
Use it wisely is the best advice .. buy only weed grown outdoors in soil. Jamaican smokers consider western pot grown with chemicals poisonous .. they are right.
We need fascism to return to Britain. My grandmother was a BUF member. She told me after the war started they prayed to old Nick for Hitler to invade & free Oswald from gaol so he could rule Britain and remove the Jews from England. If fascism was in power these druggies and white women mating with wogs wouldn’t exist.
5 will get you 50– everyone who smokes weed is a degenerate, hippie or commie
so now we see Rixon that this site is not only infested with putintards, bibletards and commies but weed weirdos too…
They call it dope for a reason….an acquaintance of mine is quite partial to bloodshot glassy eyes, talking protracted nonsense and smelling like a jamaican curry house..
Needless to say, he’s an imbecile of epic proportion…and best avoided…
For me, natural weed is beneficial, but I don’t fall asleep on it; I get more active and imaginative.
A couple of hours of widened thought & observations only to contract into the humdrum ways & means of regular consciousness…
Dope is one particulate within the pharmekaick atmosphere that keeps us disconnected from real Reality.
What do we expect from 1960s/70s boomer politicians? When this generation passes, our successors can free themselves from the mantra ‘sex, drugs & rocknroll’ & be found of God.

I followed through on that link – and YES! Henry Makow- and by extention tts – and TIME Magazine, on this issue at least, are at one – the benefits of Cannabis Legalisation.

I look forward to Henry and Rixon finally coming round to the Common Sense ‘Trust the Science’ view of Manmade Climate Change, as also espoused by TIME Magazine :-

Rixon DOES NOT believe that cannabis is necessarily good or beneficial. Having seen too many dope-heads whose lives have been wasted by drugs of one sort or another. And that includes cannabis users.

I will have you know I am NOT a weed weirdo, Mr. Quisling –
I agree with Rixon Stewart.
Was a heavy user in my youth; lucky to have graduated from highschool. Opening a book to read was a crime in my weed addled mind.
Now, I have a book always planted in my face.
guy reid-brown states ‘the future of Western man lies within Russia’
You mean the sort of future where Russians are imprisoned for 5 years for ‘denying the holocaust’ by Jutin? Thus proving Yids rule Russia just like they do the West. now you know
I prefer Kool Aid myself
My country has an indigenous problem with youth destroying whole towns, weed and kava are illegal. my country also is failing with debt, crime, social breakdown, government corruption, weed / kava are illegal. My country has failing health, education infrastructure, pensions are not being paid and public servants live like royalty while children live in poverty. weed / kava is illegal. We have half a million migrants flying a year (our population is only 25million) with a housing shortage and people living on the streets. Weed / kava is not the problem, and it may even keep people happy while the country destroys itself. PS this is Australia.
Smoked it and loved it all of my seventy years, still addicted to tobacco, always will be, but my local supply dried up a few months ago so:
Can anybody tell where I can obtain some of the good stuff to roll in?
It ain’t …… legal in England – twats!
Six comments by NicoX in this one. On the topic, drugs of any kind are only a bad imitation of what your body can do on its own if you let it, and it should be impossible not to know this
They’re not called “potheads” for no reason..
Agree totally with Rixon. CBD from cannabis for real pain is helpful from what I have seen help chronic pain victims in my work. Some smoke or vape the stuff with higher concentrations of THC in it, they say to help them sleep, but THC is still on the Mind F side of the equitation as far as I have seen unless it is the only option, and it is nuts to make it a social drug.
All it does with the youth is to get them looking for a high and generally to do only what they want and not to grow up by taking on things and responsibilities larger than their own feelings and their egocentric selves. I know. I was there until I had to make the choice of either adding zeroes to zeroes in a life style not very real or simply seeing the difference in choosing the model guy who was more real and did more real things than anyone who ever walked on this poor earth.
It is very disturbing when I encounter survivors who did not grow out it from the culture I left many decades ago. Some became addicts and some just remained potheads, and it is as if they are in some kind of trance or time warp where in their stupefied passivity nothing in their lives has really changed.
In Canada it was Pierre Trudeau, Justin’s Father, who led the way for the legalization of pot with his own pothead influence in the Liberal Party. One of the first things he did after being named Prime Minster by his party in 1968, was to appoint fellow pothead, Gerald LeDain, to head up a commission to recommend legalizing the drug, whose nefarious reports were published a few years later. LeDain was subsequently made a justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, and based on a number of their decisions since then you have to really wonder what they were smoking.
It is one thing for a mature person used to doing things they do not want but they know they have to, to try some weed and think it is not that such a big deal. For one thing such people tend not to let themselves go too much. Nor do they ingest enough of the stuff to really get high. If they do they still have their habits and discipline of many years to fall back on. Yet, these are the idiots who try it and become the “experts” to say it should be legalized, not realizing that what it can also do to so many young people and those with mental or emotional problems, which often is to exaggerate indolent tendencies, lead them on to even greater highs with other drugs, and also make them generally unreliable to themselves and to others.
When I said that there are pot shops now all over BC, I was not exaggerating. It is not the immigrant invasion which is the problem. It is pot and stupefied people who prefer fantasy to reality. My wife has been a physician for many decades and has seen the changes in that field. The radical decline in the profession and in the nation in general of course is not entirely due to pot but the use has now increased to 27% of the population, and pot is clearly a serious symptom of that decline. The entire medical system in Canada, for instance, is not just fourth rate. It now ranks something like number 37 in the world. It used to be one of the best. The new physicians might know various new things but they generally do not want to work. For the most part, they are nine to fivers and just prescribe drugs, after a 3 minute phone call or a very short clinic appointment. Their diagnostic skills just are not there, nor is their real concern. Something, is going on because so few of them resisted the pressures of the government forcing them to take the Covid vaccines, and most simply did not care what the drugs would do to their patients.. You have to wonder if they are just demoralized with the system which has made them essentially social servants with a corrupt government which seems eager to replace them with Licensed Practical Nurses few of whom know what a catheter, much less how to put one in, or if the problem is that they just want to go home and vape pot.

“Cannabis turns people into communists”…
What a clown!
since regular canabis consum makes one
unfit for the real demanding world to be
effective in competition I think it was used
since old times in India mostly by yogis +
fakirs to step out of society to follow their
soul messages .
Hmmm. . .used to make rope out of that stuff, Henry Ford made a car out of it and could run on the cannabis oil – the 4 horsemen from Oil Industry didn’t like that so they paid off the local politickers and made it illegal – gotta cut out the competition, and it cures many diseases – cancer being one and I have proof of that since I had cancer on my ear and had it nuked off and when it reoccurred, I had it nuked off again, then when my doctor retired, when it came back on my ear, I tried a little hemp oil, high grade, applied it to it and presto – it was gone in about 3 days. It keeps coming back, cuz I’m in the sun considerably, and I need to apply the CBD / hemp oil and it goes away.
Yeah, the apparent blackout reeks of ignorance – all things in moderation, even fear being replaced by knowledge. What would you rather have next door, a pot dispensary or a liquor store? Good topic Henry, but monetization isn’t mentioned – weed leads to luchre addiction in some (but not all) people!
We can see the paranoia of lewis jones is increasingly getting worse; imagining ‘nico x’ is six different posters on here.
commies love weed
The author, Eric Coppolino’s request was,
“I’m not asking for judgement from a moral perspective but rather what I think of as environmental studies”
No one has addressed his question at this page.
Allow me, then; hemp (or cannabis) is easy to grow. It thrives in all varieties of soil and in all climates, though the THC-rich plants require intense sunlight to seed and flourish.
Oil of hempseed has many well-known medicinal and nutritional properties.
Hemp makes for a very sturdy fibre. The first Levi jeans were made from hemp (and horses really couldn’t pull them apart.)
During the Tudor dynasty, while England was building its naval fleet, King Henry VIII, issued a decree, by which the barons had to apportion a measure of their land for the cultivation of hemp. The sails and ropes of the maritime fleet were made from cannabis.
Cannabis is a very efficient fuel. There’s no need to mine petrolium, if you’ve got acreages of hemp oil.
We could solve a great many of our current environmental problems by growing cannabis in abundance.
Some excellent commentary by many above
My personal experience is I smoked quite a bit of pot in my younger years, even into my 40s. It f*cked me up and impeded my progress in my high school and college years, no doubt. I was much more “successful” in just about every facet of my life when I stopped, or at least scaled way back. My mind became much sharper without the fog of weed…so yeah, if this is me “sharper” then I was basically mentally retarded on it. haha
The key, as with most things, is reasonable moderation. I believe there are some benefits to marijuana for some people, and I firmly believe it was a travesty to make a plant so highly illegal. It was suppressed and illegal for so long due to lobbying efforts of Pharma and Big Booze as they didn’t want the natural competition. But it can and does f*ck people up if they indulge any more than once in a while.
Commies love weed? Is that why cannabis is illegal in communist China?
Shallow dimwits galore.
