Germany is considering introducing conscription for all 18-year-olds, as it looks to boost its troop numbers in the face of Russian military aggression.
Military planners in Berlin are in the final stages of discussing three options, two of which involve a form of conscription, according to leaked plans reported in the German media.
Boris Pistorius, the defence minister, is set to go public with the official plans by June.
In one of the options being discussed, Germany would bring back a compulsory military year for young men once they turn 18, which was suspended in 2011, and apply it to women as well. This would require a change to the German constitution, but is seen inside the ministry as most likely to receive societal approval.
Another option would only apply to 18-year-old men, but would not see everyone selected. They would be required to fill in an online form and could then be chosen for service, according to details leaked to Die Welt newspaper. This is seen by the defence ministry as “a strong signal” to both allies and rivals.
The third option would avoid compulsory service, focusing instead on “optimising” the current system by engaging in more proactive recruitment campaigns.
However, Mr Pistorious is believed to be against that route. During a trip to Washington this week, he said: “I’m convinced that Germany needs a form of military conscription.”
Mr Pistorius, who polls regularly show to be the country’s most popular politician, has previously described the decision to suspend conscription as “a mistake”.
Its possible reintroduction comes as Germany’s ageing society means the number of soldiers heading into retirement is outstripping the number of new recruits joining up to replace them.
Meanwhile, Berlin has also set a target of raising the size of its armed forces from some 180,000 today to more than 200,000.
The defence ministry is believed to be sceptical that this target can be met without some form of conscription.
Opposition within government
Mr Pistorius is likely to face considerable resistance to his plans from inside the German government, however.
Olaf Scholz, the German chancellor, has previously voiced his opposition to such a move, while ministers from junior coalition partners the Free Democrats and the Greens have also stated they would oppose it.
Nonetheless, momentum for reintroducing conscription is growing.
At its party conference this week, the centre-Right Christian Democrats (CDU), Germany’s main opposition party, reversed its stance by voting for a motion to support the “reintroduction of conscription in a step-by-step process”.
Mr Pistorius has signalled an openness to working across party lines, saying he was “pleased that the CDU is on a similar path to the one I have been working on”.
They need them out of the way while the UN troops brutalise the population into being kill vaxxed during the bird flu pandemic.
Germany did nothing when US terrorism wiped out their whole economy. That was was when to toughen up and speak out, they didn’t have to march an army anywhere, but they failed. Now they’re talking tough with the army the US is afraid to confront alone? It’s got to be all talk and show, surely.

Our young men and women should stay home and start their families. That is their major role in life. They should not be going to war fighting for some insane war mongers to get richer.

Those who are in positions of responsibility in a nation who make these decisions should be put into a locked room and told to settle their issues and stop their march toward their war mongering. They should stay there on a diet of bread and water only until they promise to stop their lunacy of war.

Germany has the same problem as Japan and the rest of the West -. Not enough young people to “sustain” themselves.
Everything the West has done on the world stage over the past 100 or so year is so very ironic. Our rulers have lived by the maxims that “might makes right”, “the will to power”, and “the ends justify the means”, but Justice, as Socrates said in the Republic, is “rendering to each his due”. It is essential a moral activity such that unless we exercise it fairly, we are left to our own devises we are left to the operation of the maxim of “what goes around comes around”.
The Germans are reluctant to use the people over 20 and under 40 to beef up their armed forces as they are needed to support their workforce which is necessary to support the majority of people over 40. They also have had to open their borders for population “sustainability” reasons. In the 1960’s when there were enough children being born, each German male had to spend either 2 years service in the military or 3 years in the merchant marines. Since then, and with the help of the arch criminals who run our governments, the fertility rates of Germany and every affluent and developed nation on the planet has plummeted to the state now were we are facing what is called a “population collapse”. Along with it comes the economic problem which is the death of demand.
The most significant factor not factored into population decline but only looked at from the perspective of those crying out “population peril” is our greatly increased life spans and child survival rates over the past 150 years. Improved agriculture practices, the abundance of food, improvements in medical treatments, all have improved life spans and especially child survival rates. The highest fertility rates (number of children per woman) have always been in the poorest and underdeveloped nations, and the main reason being and which has readily overlooked is that in such places few children survived beyond the age of five and the only chance a family had of surviving or getting ahead was through having many children. Child survival rates together with education and development have always been a kind of natural birth reduction with couples marrying later and not wanting or needing as many children.
Materialism and hedonism together with greater health, education and development and without the counterbalance of “sustainable” family values, leads to a more dire problem than overpopulation which is called “extinction”. The adage that “the rich get richer and the poor get children” is as pregnant as the adage “what goes around comes around”.
Following the Kissinger, Nixon Rothschild diktats communist China was given huge outsourcing benefits in the way of capital, technologies, equipment, entire industries, and hundreds of millions of jobs, plus open access to our markets – most obviously, despite the Western oligarch denials, on the condition of implementing the infamous and disastrous “one-child policy. That policy with the huge demographic imbalance which resulted, had to be ended, and now after the government in more recent years has and encouraged couples to have more children, the results are not encouraging. Most of the people having become used to more affluence lifestyles and not wanting the responsibility of having more children to interfere with their interests, are still content with one child or none.
Likely less than half of the people under 30 in the West are interested in marriage or having children. This state of mine is a result mainly of the social engineering polices of the same arch criminals running things, such as Kill Gates, who applaud all reductions as they continue to try to reduce the population to a few billion or less. Fertility toxins abound in everything from plastics to toothpaste. Marriage no longer provides women who want children any real security. Real men are hard to find for a woman interested in a stable and life-long marriage. Not only have the people been brainwashed into believing that free sex is some kind of natural right and marriage is a kind of slavery, but children are now generally seen as a liability and encumbrance. The arch-criminal oligarchs and their minions in our governments, the media, and the intelligence organisations, continue to propagate all of the same disastrous establishment anti-child polices from the 1960’s, now with entire industries feeding off of child-exploitation crimes, and still promoting any lifestyle designed to sever and divert sexuality from procreation.
One irony is that in trying to get rid of the children of the so-called “underclasses” of the world, the beautiful people in getting rid of their religious beliefs and structures to safeguard family values have only ended up in getting rid of themselves. Another irony, less realized, is that had they not tampered with our sexual mores and social and religious structures and taboos in their hast to stop the peril they saw in population growth, the spread of higher education and economic development leading to affluence and uncountable new opportunities and interests, by themselves would have lead to population stability and economic sustainability in every nation. Because of their evil tampering with our human natures, the West is now mostly a Godless wasteland of materialism and infertility where our governments have to open our borders to anyone who will come here, and women virtually have to be paid and bribed to have children.
The moral, chemical, and biological population-culling toxins which have been inflicted on us come from exactly the same source which gave us Covid and the toxic vaccines. That is not a coincidence or an irony.
