Hungary disagrees with the position of NATO countries regarding assistance to Ukraine. Budapest believes that the Alliance is “taking huge steps towards war”, according to the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjártó.
He mentioned that Hungary wouldn’t participate either in NATO’s fund for Ukraine of 100 billion euros or in the Alliance’s plans to coordinate military aid to Ukraine and training for Ukrainian soldiers.
“NATO has crossed its own red lines and is taking huge steps towards war, while direct confrontation carries the risk of starting the Third World War,” Szijjártó stated.
He added that NATO countries consider the war in Ukraine to be their war. This idea is the opposite of Budapest’s position.
“Those who believe that this is our war support the continuation of the war until Ukraine’s victory,” the Minister said.
In his opinion, “the only realistic way” to end the war is diplomacy.
The scandalous position of Hungary
For two years of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Hungary has been refusing to provide military assistance to Ukrainian defenders. Meanwhile, Budapest continues its diplomatic and economic relations with Moscow.
Hungarian officials, including Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, are against supplying weapons to Ukraine.
At the end of January, Szijjártó promised that military assistance would not be provided in the future as well.

Hungary just joined the US and eight others to vote against accepting UN Membership for Palestine when its ally Russia voted for it. Maybe Hungary’s Jews are a powerful lobby which showed itself in the interest of Israel? Whatever its reason it can be a Russian ally but it blows too hot and cold to be a reliable one.
I was listening to a shortish Scott Ritter video yesterday and he was talking about how Russia has already made decisions on how tactical nukes will be used, and these procedures are now hardwired, and that Nazi NATO, and specifically, France and Britain will be automatically targeted if they do certain things.
I’m not going into what these specific things are, but one should keep in mind what Ritter has said, and I’ve just repeated.
It means that there’s no further analysis, or discussion in the Russian military. The system is in place, and if Nazis do xyz, then tactical nukes will be used, and highly likely, in some NATO states aiding France, and nuking sites in France, and the UK will also get nuked.
So in very simple terms, if you’re a soldier and you’ve got to get permission to fire if you see the enemy run from point A to point B, that soldier has been told to shoot anything that moves between A & B.
I believe is the Southern Russian military sector who’ve been given these orders, hence their training with tactical nukes.
Ritter also makes it clear, that while this is precise planning for just tactical nukes, he see a massive escalation within a very short time period. These initial tactical nukes will likely be delieved by hypersonic missiles. So sites in Romina, Poland, France, and the UK could be taken out within 15 minutes, tops. As Ritter says, the US will either man up, or go woke and broke. My own view, the US won’t lift a finger. They are all mouth, and then France will have to decide how they want their country to end. The US won’t let Nazi UK use Trident, and it doesn’t even work. Of course, my take, the UK has already made some UK planes nuke capable, but can they get near their targets, I don’t think so.
Likely targets in the UK are Lakenheath, Brize Norton, Portsmouth, Fylingdales, GCHQ, and the UKs submarine facilties. Not a full list.
When such an attack takes place, you can expect the Internet and mobile phone services to be shut down. How long, I don’t know, but I suspect only a very limited service will resume.
All the usual things, cerfews, shoot to kill, rationing, rolling power cuts, even if there’s normal power, & only vital travel, and no healthcare. This is assuming it doesn’t go full monty.
In other news, reports that fires and explosions in the UK, US, and in other Nazi states, are the work of Russian sabotage. I have believed this from the start, and the latest huge explosions and blaze confirmed this in my own mind, and now the fake news and military/security types are crawling from under their rugs. They expect this to escalate. Do you get paid enough to work in these sites, or live nearby?

I may be lucky if Russia nukes RAF Lakenheath. It’s about nine miles west of me on the other side of a national forest, so if nukes aren’t detonated too high and the yield isn’t too big then much of the blast may be absorbed by untold thousands of trees. RAF Mildenhall is about twelve miles south-west but it’s being wound down so it’s probably no longer a big target and so may be looking at a slap not a punch. There is a small US base a few miles north of Lakenheath at Feltwell that’s mostly accommodation for US forces and some missile storage, but I don’t think I’d suffer from any blasts on that.
There’s a small RAF base just south of town but it’s so small a few cruise missiles would deal with that. It’s more an annex to RAF Honington about ten miles south, which I’m sure is the home base of the RAF Regiment (I’m not a local), but I don’t think its airstrip is used much. A few miles north there’s a military training ground with a tank shooting range and sometimes a para drop zone but at most times it’s empty. So I may be fortunate and hear big bangs all around me but nothing too big or too close. I don’t think Russia will be after civilian casualties, just loss of military assets. Maybe soon we’ll find out.

Not really. They are largely leftist. And the left side of politics is totally crushed in Hungary. So they have little lobbying scope. Orban’s huge commitment is to maintaining his party’s ‘we don’t want a Muslim population’ stand. That gets a lot of Jewish support. But huge Christian Hungarian support too.
And he is waging a huge war against the still very Left EU parliament’s imposition of the obligatory migrant-intake quota. The Jewish support is very helpful there. And if he were to take a Muslim side against Israel, he would lose it.
There is a self-defence angle too. He finds very useful his ‘Like Israel wants a Jewish state, we want a Christian state’. That inhibits ‘Fascist’ accusations, for it would hit Israel too.
So he is not blowing hot and cold. He is being a tactician. Still, his letting down of Gaza is a definite flaw in his otherwise great statesmanship. Pity.

There is an interesting thing about Hungarian Jews: They are very assimilationist. Inter-marriages are frequent, and have long been so. If you walk around Budapest, the identifiable Jews are the ‘dressed as’ ones. And there are more half-Jews than Jews.

I heard this too from personal contacts in Toronto and similar for Czechs and Croats (northern, along Hungary border).
