Ania K hosted Pepe Escobar and me on a podcast today. Most of our discussion centered on the rise of the BRICS nations and the decline of the U.S. dominated rules based international order. But we also discussed Pepe’s recent report that an Israeli plane carry a nuke destined for Iran was shot down shortly after leaving Jordanian airspace.
Here are the updated facts — Pepe has confirmed the story with three separate sources. So let me explain what this means. Pepe Escobar is not a liar or a fabricator. He is not someone seeking notoriety nor publicity. He is a reporter and is disseminating the story as it was told to him. I hold Pepe in the highest regard. We met for the first time at a conference in Moscow in December 2023 and I knew immediately I had a new friend.
The real question is why the sources are sharing this story. While I agree with Scott Ritter and Ray McGovern that there a major holes in the account that raise questions about its legitimacy, none of us have access to classified information that details the movements of Israeli, Russian and U.S. aircraft on 18 April 2024. So it could be true.
Alternatively, maybe this was a plan of disinformation designed to attack Pepe’s credibility. His reporting on Ukraine and the war between Israel and Palestine has been a thorn in the side of the West. So that is a possible explanation.
I am certain about one thing — the news accounts about Israel’s failed attack on Iran last Thursday does not make sense. We do not have a good account of what happened. Was there a missile strike that Iran defeated? Or was it a small group of quadcopter drones that were shot down? It is not clear. What we do know is that the White House and the Pentagon made a big show of touting Israel’s attack — an attack that Israel now refuses to acknowledge. The breathless reports that kept the U.S. cable news channels churning for several hours then dried up. It became like a scene from the movie, Naked Gun, where Detective Drebin tried to persuade a crowd of onlookers that the explosions and smoke they were seeing was nothing. “Nothing to see here!”

These type of lying and delusional articles are disgraceful and bring disrepute not only on their authors (although as crackpots they don’t care) but importantly on the publications that promulgate them. Let’s not mention that they’re insulting to the reader base by assuming that the average chump reading the above is a retard with the IQ of a plant.
Why in any conceivable universe would Russia send planes all the way to Israel to shoot down an F-35? It makes no sense neither on its surface nor on any closer scrutiny. We can laugh off crackpot claims that the “erf is flat” or nuclear power plants and energy “are psyops”, or that Tom Cruise is Brad Pitt’s father (no joke, regular readers know full well such trash appears here every couple of months or so).
But this lunatic claim about Russia shooting down Israeli planes is far worse because of its pretence to actually being true. The flat erfer crowd, for example, know deep down that they’re full of it and delusional. Not so with these nutbars. There’s nothing in this world worse than three human types: pedophiles, animal abusers, and … liars.

Thanks for the nod, Rixon. A commenter on Larry’s article raised an interesting possibility. He said maybe some within the intelligence community are wary of what Israel might do so they put this false story about to put Israel on its guard, knowing it would be closely watched after this claim so it might step back a bit. In the video Pepe remains confident in his sources, one a big power but he can’t say which one (China?), and says we should find out more either way over the coming days.
I’m starting to believe it. Backed by the US Israel knows no restraint.
The media ran with stories of a big Israeli attack on Iran. (I see that now) The stories were written in advance. So the US knew it was planned. The US part in the plan is to deny that nukes were involved. For obvious reasons. The attacks did not happen, which means the Israeli nukes failed to shut down Iran’s air defenses. Which means they WERE shot down.
Zion understands that Iran 100% has “secondary strike” capability and so in the unlikely even of getting nuked, it can launch conventional sure-strike missiles to take out Dimona.
Pepe somewhere said “Reagan administration also decides to sell missiles and other arms to Ayatollah Khomeini’s Iran…” in contra affair. Well that is absolutely false. Missiles are the weapons that they did not even sell to Shah! After Shah pushed too much they sold him some crappy ones with the range of 90 km.
Pepe’s heart is in awe of Russia, so it is clear he would readily make such mistakes or go for such opportunities. I think somewhere he also said some crazy stuff about HARRP being used in Iran for earthquakes and his information source was weird then too and only a month later the Earthquake in Turkey happened which was a 1000 times worse! Even Scott after giving too much credit to Iran, toned himself down a little very recently. Iran is the most ridiculed country in the world, failures are magnified while success are belittled and even ridiculed. Many liberal Iranians feel angered or saddened when Iran is seen as powerful and feel better if some harm comes to Iran from US or Zjon.
The good news is we don’t care what the world say, they will be forced to use there own mass media to advertise us anyway! : ) It is funny really some anti-Iran analysts are saying Iran’s missiles were so poor and 99% was missed BUT Iran is still very evil and they will learn from their mistake and we have to always be vigilant against Iran.

For your information Russia has had fighter aircraft based in Syria for decades and Shlomo Jones it’s not the Nazis.
The real puppet masters are next level (4d) and they don’t like nucs going off as they can cause little windows/holes in the EM grid and do damage to their turf. We don’t like our pets or cattle/sheep to do damage to our fences etc.
