Strategic Review – Apr 5, 2024
This week marks the 75th anniversary of NATO’s founding in April 1949. The organization has become a global danger to peace and security and should have been disbanded more than 30 years ago when the Cold War supposedly ended. That the alliance was not disbanded attests that its real purpose was always to serve as a weapon for U.S.-led Western imperialism.
Barely four years after the end of World War Two – the greatest calamity in world history – and amid the ruins of a devastated Europe and Asia, Western imperialism was once again reinventing its nefarious internal forces.
Nearly 30 million citizens of the Soviet Union had died at the hands of Nazi Germany. And yet despite the horror and evil of war, the Western powers were busy reconfiguring their military forces to confront again the Soviet Union. With the defeat of the Nazi war machine largely by the Soviet Red Army, the Western imperialists innovated a new instrument in the form of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
The betrayal and treachery were not just to the Soviet people. All of humanity was once again subjected to the warmongering designs and necessities of a global elite under Western imperialism.
NATO’s declared purpose was to defend Europe from Soviet aggression. The same pretense exists today in the claim that the alliance is defending Ukraine from Russian belligerence.
The proof of NATO’s real function is demonstrated by the fact that the organization did not disband in 1991 when the Soviet Union was dissolved. Over the ensuing 33 years, the military bloc has doubled its membership to 31 nations. Russia has replaced the Soviet Union as the Western-designated security threat to Europe. But such rationale turns reality on its head. NATO has always existed as a tool of aggression for Western imperialism. Where Nazi Germany failed to do the job of conquering the Soviet Union, NATO tacitly took over the task, and when the Soviet Union disappeared, the new enemy of convenience became the Russian Federation.
Twenty-five years ago, the U.S.-led NATO axis engaged in a pivotal step change when it unilaterally bombed former Yugoslavia in an audacious aggression based on duplicity and lies (as usual). That illegal military intervention was the opening of a new phase of Western imperialism that blatantly snubbed international law and the United Nations Charter. In the same year, 1999, the NATO alliance began its rapid expansion by acquiring new members across Eastern Europe up to Russia’s borders.
Having smashed legal restraints against war, the United States and its NATO partners embarked on an orgy of aggression and militarism over the next three decades, invading and sabotaging countless countries and unleashing global problems of terrorism, displacement, poverty, and mass migration.
In 2007, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a seminal speech at the Munich Security Conference in which he warned of the looming chaos and conflict from unbridled Western militarism.
The next year, in 2008, the NATO alliance declared that it would admit Ukraine and Georgia to its ranks. Neither of the former Soviet Republics has yet joined the bloc, but for Moscow, such a move has long been demarcated as an intolerable red line.
The expansion of NATO all the way to Russia’s doorstep is not some ad hoc innocent development. It is a deliberate plan of aggression to strategically defeat Russia for the conquest of its natural wealth by Western imperialism.
The proxy war in Ukraine that erupted in February 2022 has been decades in the making. Arguably, the aggression goes back not merely to the CIA-sponsored coup in Kiev in 2014, nor the Color Revolutions in Ukraine following 1991. The Western hostility against Russia was the genesis of the Second World War borne out of Western sponsorship of Nazi Germany to attack the Soviet Union. In the subsequent Cold War until today, NATO has been the instrument of aggression.
It is therefore not enough to contend that NATO should have disbanded when the Cold War ended. Of course, it should have because it should have been evident what its real purpose was. The more logical contention is that NATO should never have been formed in the first place because it was always a war-making organization serving U.S.-led Western imperialism. The organization is inherently for war-making. By definition, it has a terroristic purpose, to incite war, to justify war, and to never stop promoting war because Western imperialism can never co-exist with peaceful relations between nations.
NATO has been sold to the Western public and the rest of the world as some kind of international security agency. The same deception has been used by American militarism and all other Western imperialist adventures. How Orwellian can you get? Peace means war, security means chaos and threats, and rules-based order means domination and exploitation.
For a start, the NATO bloc was always in violation of the United Nations and the supposed primacy of the UN Security Council. In addition, the pretensions of NATO as a security enforcer have been patently absurd to anyone with critical faculties. Why those pretensions were not more widely seen and rejected as a brazen deception is due in large part to the massive propaganda system of Western news media selling illegal wars and aggression as some kind of noble purpose. Imagine believing that millions of people were annihilated in U.S.-led wars for democracy and freedom! That is not dystopian fantasy. It actually happened and continues to happen, from Korea to Vietnam, from former Yugoslavia to Iraq, from Ukraine to Gaza, and many more horrors besides.
However, the proxy war in Ukraine has crossed a fateful Rubicon. The world can finally see that the NATO axis is a glaring fraud that is endangering international peace with its relentless aggression and toxic lies. It’s not just about Russia. Any nation that decides to stand up to Western desired hegemony is liable to find itself in the crosshairs of a U.S.-led attack using NATO as a legal cover for an international coalition.
Western imperialism has been a dominant world force for at least 500 years in line with the dominance of Western capitalism. The lead hegemon has varied over time and the line of succession has engendered countless wars and bouts of destruction. The last Western hegemon is the United States. But its empire is collapsing along with its dysfunctional, debt-ridden economy. The NATO bloc has expanded to become an unwieldy, overstretched imperial machine that has been stopped in its tracks by Russia in Ukraine. Napoleon, the British, the Third Reich, and now the American-led Collective West.
That historic defeat of Western imperialism is at an epochal endpoint. American-led capitalism is bankrupt and irredeemable. That makes the NATO war machine a very dangerous unstable “multiplier” of American militarism. Will it risk a desperate final world war or will the abominable Western system be overhauled safely by the majority of people who abhor it?
NATO’s sell-by date is well and truly past. Russia put paid to that. It remains up to the people of the Western nations to salvage something more constructive and democratic from the smoking hulk.

Of course the most significant aspect of OTAN was unleashed on an unsuspecting Europe and Middle East soon after it’s formation…but this aspect is seldom discussed, it’s off limits..these types of articles act as safety valve, like most of ‘warts an’ all’ whistleblowing scoops of the past 60 years..(feeding the ‘narrative)..
TERRORISM both physical and psychological…yes that’s right..the enemy was never the Russkies in a fake cold war..one in which they provably conspired and actually worked together…and that’s because the ‘Yangees/banking swizzlers/the City’ have financed the fake commies since 1917..(actually much longer, since it’s inception)..
Via the federal reserve and Wall Street..and laundered it all via Pirate Rock..
The best enemy money can buy as Sutton noted…Of course the latest chapter of muggle murder unleashed during the fake pandemic is just an extension of their Gladio op’s from the past…and run by the same people…
The imperialist piracy this scribbler chunners about is just the window dressing ..the real war is actually on citizens and in a broader sense humanity…the war on poverty…murdering the third world..the war on drugs..the importation and dealing of noxious chemicals…the war on terror…groundwork for the bio-security gulag.. the war on the weather..creating policy of impoverishment and eventual euthanasia…and resource stripping… and of course the war on the family and demographic certainties or continuity.. incompetent feminazis, tranny and poofter forced worship and the sexualization of infants..or else..
…these are actually all military projects…how could they be otherwise?…..of course as with most things ‘current year’ the narrative is down the pan, the mask has slipped..and more regular than not ..their trousers round their ankles… as is the case with most of these hehe..mental ‘institutions’, due to the incompetence of the demented swizzler class and it’s ideologies that ascended post WW2…
which as we see makes them even more dangerous..and unhinged… than usual..
Basically, continental military alliances may be economical and may possibly promote goodwill, but no intercontinental military alliances eg NATO should exist.
ZATO has – since the dissolution of the USSR/Warsaw Pact – been nothing more than a kosher-certified fig-leaf attempting to cover-up the throbbing tumescent todger of US/UK aggression… ready to fck anything in its path… whether it be Serbia, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine… … … you get the picture.
But this syphilitic member has fcked around one-too-many times… and now can’t quite “get it up”… and all the huffing & puffing – and fluffing from that little French faggot! – won’t even get a wank outta Willy again!
If Jews did not exist in this world, none of the shit that is happening globally would be occurring, NONE OF IT. Everything is Jew-induced, and all because of MONEY. It’s all Jews care about ; CASH and sex with kids. This world, from one end to the other, would be so better off, a true utopia, were Jews completely erased from mankind. Never has such wickedness and self-serving evil existed in the world. And they have the gall to try and silence us all while they rape the world. FUCK THEM !!
NATO is a paper tiger of Rothschild Jewry. It’s finished. Jewry will never surrender & will use Nukes. I’ve said for years that if the world is destroyed by Nukes, it’ll be Jewry that sparked it.
The Synagogue of Satan!
75 years on,and after trillions, nothing but warmongering chickenhawks working against the best interests of the people.
Disband NATO now.
Make no mistake. This is a financial banking empire that will not go down easily. This global central banking ponzi scheme is based on an unchallenged military might and a network of compliant vassal states. Without unilateral powers and expansion the empire will die. For now, if it is stopped in Ukraine, it will expand elsewhere. Currently the US is building military bases in Argentina, Guyana, Philippines, and Yap. Desperate and really pathetic. The loss of Ukraine will mean the loss of NATO and then the EU. Then there is the eventual loss of Israel. It doesn’t look good for the globalists.

Further to the PCR/Igan/others, echo chamber that inform the shallow depths of truthseeking, the reference to Sutton by Chesterton is worth further elaboration. As it happens, I recently transcribed parts of an interview with Antony Sutton, titled, “The Best Enemy Money Can Buy” for my ongoing work. This is from ~16:38.

The punctuation is my own, so may be imperfect, recalling it is the spoken word. I have edited out “ahhs” and “erms” etc. I make a few comments in [] brackets:
Interviewer: I’d like to get a little bit into the background of the financing of the financing of Bolshevism because I think this is vitally important and we can go back to the period after the second revolution which was in October and November of 1917. The initial financing of Lenin’s movement: how did it tie into the American corporations? Was there any American involvement in that period between 1917 and 1918 when Bolshevism was just beginning to get a foothold in Russia?
Sutton: Yes, there were several incidents the most important is one involving Colonel William Boyce Thompson, who was the largest shareholder in the chase bank, which of course today is Chase Manhattan bank, and I published in one of my books a copy of a cable gram which transferred funds from New York to Petrograd in December 1917; one million dollars to be precise, and Colonel Thompson made the statement later that this one million dollars was given to the Bolsheviks to consolidate that they had just begun to take over Russia. They only controlled Moscow and Petrograd at that time to aid control that the Bolsheviks were extending in Russia this is a very clear case: one million dollars, American funds transferred through an American Wall Street intermediary to the Bolsheviks.
Interviewer: And did you publish that document here in “Wall Street And The Rise Of Bolshevism” [sic?]
Sutton: I published two statements. One is a copy of the cablegram, and the other is a copy of the news clip of the statement made by Colonel Thompson at that time that he had given made this contribution.
Interviewer: Now, why would an American capitalist and American financier help to aid Bolshevism?
Sutton: The only answer, and of course this puzzled me for years, you know, why? Because we understand to be an opposition, and the only answer I can come to, is one of captive markets the United States did not want another United States in the world. Of course if you look at the world map Russia, is two or three times large in the united states. Imagine this as another United States as another competitor to the united states what the United States wanted or what Wall Street wanted, was a captive market and of course, socialism is a captive market because my earlier studies at Stanford University have brought out the fact that the social system cannot innovate; it’s got to import innovation and technology from the west; and so I think the aim behind this was to encourage the development of marxism and other social other types of socialism because this would give these Wall Street Bankers control of a world market, a captive market at the end of the First World War.
Interviewer: Russia was devastated by famine and America sent a relief mission it was the Hoover Commission. Do you know any of the facts surrounding the activities of the Hoover Commission?
Sutton: Well there’s no question that in 1922-1923, Russia was finished. Industrial output was perhaps eight or ten percent of 1913 figures, and people were starving by the hundreds of thousands, and the Hoover Mission was organized of course to send aid to Russia, but most of the aid went to the Bolsheviks who controlled really quite a small part of Russia at that time. Only a very small part of the aid went to the White Russians or to the far east.
Interviewer: And then after 1922-1923, Lenin instituted something known as “The New Economic Policy”, or this series of five-year plans. Can you tell us about the five-year plans and the part that the major American corporations, major world corporations played in building up the Soviet Union?
Sutton: Well, the two separate phases here. The “New Economic Policy” was started in 1923 by Lenin, and I found that I published this in my first book from Stanford that every single Russian industry was rebuilt or restarted by foreign corporations mostly German, British, French and American. By 1928 Russia, was back to approximately its 1913 in industrial output, and at that point, she began to think of these grandiose five-year plans and in 1928 Gosplan, which was the Russian government planning commission, actually designed an initial five-year plan, but this was thrown out; it was inadequate, and American corporations were brought into Russia, and the first five-year plan and the second five-year plan were actually designed in the United States by American corporations.
Interviewer: And what were these corporations? Which ones specifically were involved in…
Sutton: The design of the first five-year plan was by a corporation probably not known by most Americans: Albert Kahn. But Albert Kahn was the foremost industrial architect in the United States, and Albert Kahn laid out the basics of the first five-year plan for the Soviets, and then we find again, the same corporations involved with the construction of the plants: International General Electric, and certainly DuPont, Ford Motor, Hercules Motor, Curtis Wright Aircraft Engines, and even some corporations which today were forgotten about, like Valte [spelling?] and Chance Vought. These were aircraft manufacturers at that time. And so, American corporations came in, and they built the first five-year plan. But what was important: the Soviets then copied these plans and this accounts for the tremendous Russian output. They took this initial equipment and they multiplied it they copied it by the hundred.
Interviewer: Now, how about Ford Motor Company? Did they play a part in the building up of the soviet potential?
Sutton: Very definitely. A Ford Motor company built the Gorky Plant, and the Gorky plant produces the Gaz series of vehicles; that’s G, A, Z, and these are trucks, and there’s some automobiles, and right from the early 1930s, you’d find that the Gaz Plant has had military potential and Ford knew that when it went in and built the Gorky Plant. And we knew it because I found statements to this effect within the state department files.
[Here, I can’t help mentioning that the Secretary of Defense and prosecutor of American aggression in Vietnam, Robert McNamara worked for the Ford Motor Company, with modern planning, organization, and management control systems, according to Wikipedia, before getting his government role…]
Interviewer: Sometimes we hear that name Averell Harriman. Did he play a part in building up the Soviet technology?
Sutton: Very definitely. In fact Averell Harriman came out of the Soviet Union, and financially out of profit. He took over the Georgian manganese concession in the early 1920s. He got this back on his feet for the Soviets, and manganese became a prime export for the Soviets, and so they were able to sell this abroad to get foreign exchange which financed their industrialization, and then they bought out Harriman about 1929, and Averell Harriman received this compensation one million dollars more than he put in in the first place.
Interviewer: How about Armand Hammer of Occidental Petroleum?
Sutton: Armand Hammer is a very interesting example. Armand Hammer received the first following concession in 1922 in asbestos, in the Ural Mountains. And he also conducted for the Soviets, a number of other enterprises: right down to pins and pencil manufacturing for example. But Armand Hammer was interesting because his father… although Armand Hammer today is chairman of Occidental Petroleum Corporation.
…His father was Julius Hammer who in 1919 was secretary general of the Communist Party, USA, which emphasizes the argument I made throughout my books that at the top level there’s no difference between your top communists and your top capitalists the interlink you’ve got Armand Hammer, chairman of Occidental Petroleum; his father was secretary of the Communist Party, USA in 1919.
[Armand Hammer was an International Jew. His father was from Russia. A fault of Sutton is that he bends over backwards to avoid mentioning information like this. Sutton is a qualified rebel WRT to academia, but not a full blooded rebel IMO. In this he resembles James Corbett. Nevertheless, we should always be receptive to those with obvious “faults”…]
Interviewer: So, it’s basically a power grab.
Sutton: It’s a power grab, an international power grab.
Interviewer: Now, during the Second World War, while Russia was pretty well decimated once again by German forces, what part did the American unleash program play in building up Russia’s industrial capacity after the Second World War?
Sutton: Well, Lend-Lease built up Russia’s capacity and modernized it, and expanded it during World War II; and there was some continuation all the way through perhaps to 1948-1949. There was a program after Lend-Lease which was supposed to be restricted to foodstuffs and industrial materials, but in effect, I checked the records in the warehouses in Sudlersville[?], Maryland, I find that even after World War II, and this was against the intent of congress I suspect, there was a massive transfer of the latest industrial equipment to the Soviet Union under the so called Lend-Lease program.
Interviewer: Now, in 1948, there was a fascinating book came out by Major Racey Jordan, and which he talked about American aid to the communists as far as their ability to build nuclear weapons. Did you ever have an opportunity of verifying the facts that we had given them the heavy water we’d give them the wherewithal to build their atomic weapons?
Sutton: Well, as part of the work I was doing at Stanford, I did investigate the shipping documents for Lend-Lease and I took a sample of these documents. I checked them against Major Jordan, and broadly, Major Jordan was correct within, say, about five percent; and Major Jordan of course made the charge that we had shipped materials to the soviets, 1944 1945, which were later used in their atomic program. There is no doubt he is correct.
We shipped heavy water, which is essential, but we shipped other items which are perhaps less obvious to the layman. We shipped, for example, aluminum tubes; and aluminum tubes are essential for atomic energy development. We shipped graphite, and graphite is another essential component. So generally, as far as I could check, and I checked the original government Lend-Lease document general: Major Jordan was correct.
[I dispute the existence of nuclear weapons. I won’t labour the point here, but I believe my worldview is corroborated by considering the sheer insanity of giving anyone the means to destroy you. I mean, it’s one thing to commit the wage earning class to slaughter in the meatgrinder of war, but it is another thing for the class deriving profit from capital investment, land, and interest to also put themselves in peril.]
Interviewer: Now, as the years have gone by, of course, we see a growing Soviet nuclear threat. The Soviets now have MIRV missiles. Can you get a little of the background on how the Soviet Union, which really didn’t have the technology to develop those MIRV missiles that threaten our cities today; how are they able to develop the MIRV capacity?
Sutton: Well, you’ve got to go back and look at how the Russians were able to develop a rocket space technology anyway. What they did after World War II was: American forces were held back for a while, while the soviets occupied East Germany. They stripped East Germany. They took back the latest of the V2 rocket technology from Peenemunde and other places, and the V2 became the basis of the Russian space technology. Now, if you skip the intermediate into intervening years, you will find when you come to the early 1970s that the Russians did not have the capability to move their missiles, and in particular they lacked the ability to produce the very precision micro miniature ball bearings that are needed for the control systems.
There was only one company in the world, Bryant Chucking Grinder, which could make the machinery, which machines the races which within which, these ball bearings run; and without those races, you just cannot make MIRV [multiple warhead] missiles in any quantity. You can make a one off, but not in quantity. Bryant Chucking Grinder was allowed to ship to the Soviet Union forty five of these machines at a time when we only had thirty three in the United States.
Interviewer: But wasn’t there any objection to doing this?
Sutton: I objected at Miami Beach in 1972; other people objected, but the objections were squashed and predominantly at fault here, is Henry Kissinger and the incoming administration; the incoming Nixon administration; this was known. I’m sure it was known in DoD. If I knew it then certainly DoD knew it, but the objections were squashed and there was a there was suppression of the information.
Interviewer: And so once again we see America building up the military capacity the nuclear threat from the Soviet Union.
Sutton: Well, this goes you know, when you talk about MIRV missiles, you’re talking about a quantum jump in your military technology. Now, I’m not a military man, but to me the ability to do that is a massive leap forward, and we enabled them to do it, and we did it knowingly and deliberately.
Interviewer: During the Vietnamese War, the Soviet Union and the Eastern European satellites were the primary suppliers of war materials to the North Vietnamese, who are killing American boys in South Vietnam. Would you comment on our aid and trade with the Soviet Union and with the Eastern European satellites during that period of time.
Sutton: Well, there’s no question that the Soviets were the prime suppliers of military equipment and suppliers to the North Vietnamese. Let me give you an example: the American pilots as they flew over the Ho Chi Minh Trail described the trucks that they were seeing as American trucks. Well they were American trucks because they came from the Gorky plant, and Gorky was built by Henry Ford. And so you have the situation where we were in effect, supplying both sides in the Vietnamese War.
Interviewer: The trucks were being built by the Soviet Union; however, were they getting any materials from the United States to help build those trucks?
Sutton: Yes, in the early 1970s I knew specifically of shipments of equipment into the Gorky plot while the war was going on, which in effect were aiding the service to build more trucks to be used by the by the North Vietnamese.
Interviewer: How about loans? Was America extending loans to the Soviet Union during this period when they were the primary financiers of the North Vietnamese?
Sutton: Yes, beginning about 1970, there was a massive grant of loans. The Soviet Union, I’d say by about 1976, it must have totaled perhaps 40 billion dollars outstanding, and so this of course, these loans were used to enable the Soviet Union to purchase industrial equipment in the United States, and this industrial equipment was used to manufacture in part military supplies which we used against us in Vietnam.
Interviewer: How about Russian shipping that was being used to ferry supplies to North Vietnam?
Sutton: Shipping is a very interesting example because the Soviets published a shipping register of about six thousand ships, and I analyzed every one of these ships; both the origin of the technology of the ship itself; the hull and the engine. Most of them are marine diesel engines, and I find that sixty percent of the Soviet merchant marine, which of course has military usefulness, sixty percent was built abroad. Only forty percent in the soviet union, and that largely to western design but when you come to marine diesel engines, you find something really fascinating: you find that eighty percent of the marine diesel engines in Soviet merchant ships are western engines: Burmeister and Wain of Copenhagen. Salsa [spelling?] of Switzerland; Fiat of Italy because that name has come up before but the other twenty percent of marine diesel engines built in the soviet union are built to western design and a technical assistance contracts from Salsa[?] and Burmeister and Wain. So, in effect, there could be no Soviet merchant marine without assistance from the West.
Interviewer: How about the building of the Kama River Plant?
Sutton: Kama River was built in the late 1960s, early 1970s. The basic design, the contract was let to the Italian firm of Fiat. Giovanni Agnelli as the chairman of the board, and this is important because Agnelli is tied in with Chase Manhattan Bank; he’s on the international advisory committee at Chase Manhattan. What caught my attention was that Fiat does not manufacture automobile manufacturing equipment. All the Fiat plants in Italy contain American equipment, and what I found was that the equipment was coming, perhaps about sixty, seventy percent of it, from the United States; from major automobile equipment supplies in the United States. I think the it was known as the Fiat Plant as a cover to perhaps divert attention from the fact that during the Vietnamese War, we were building the largest plant in the world. It covers thirty six square miles; we were building for the Soviets, with American equipment, the largest plant in the world. And so it’s called the Italian Fiat plant, and I think this was a blind.
Interviewer: And so they were building their trucks and armoured personnel carriers and other things that could be used then for warfare and South Vietnam. We knew that the Karma Plant had military potential. In 1972, I wrote it in “National Suicide”, and I said as much at Miami Beach in 1972.
Simon Smith–“Valte” might be “Walter”, and, in the Protocols we read that division of labour is an approach that the bosses will bring out later: Henry Ford was either doing that for them, or against them
@ Simon
Very informative, thanks Simon.
