Actually, what I got from this was no such grandiose prediction on behalf of Scott Ritter – in fact, he spent a lot of time explaining why he thought Iran was not able to do much of any effect, at least for the time being.
The salient point, I thought, was him saying Israel had actually commited a War Crime by bombing a Consulate.
This actually means that Russia would be perfectly justified in branding Netanyahu a War Criminal, just as the ‘Free West’ has done to Putin.
And Ritter explained how the Americans must have known this was going to happen and could have prevented it, so Biden is a War Criminal too.

The fact is that we are all very good at protecting our own interests on strong moral grounds of right and wrong, but we tend to be much weaker in protecting anyone else’s rights if they happen to conflict with our own interests.
This condition of being crooked, a Christian would have to say comes from self-interest, selfishness, concupiscence, or from original sin and our fallen natures. Any such complications and contradictions simply enable capitals such as DC and the City of London, and most governments and mega corporations to throw any real moral restraints in the trash bin, and hire mainly sociopaths and sycophants to fill all positions of power and influence. We know this, but then for some strange reason we wonder why there are nothing but crooks ruling our nation.
Lord Acton in saying that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, was saying no more that if you have power and can get away with crimes and make up the laws to advance your interests then it becomes very clear that such interests with increasing power will tend to bend any principles which stand in the way of those interests, and the greater the power and the freer from restraints the more crooked will become the power brokers.

Even our law-enforcement and intelligence agencies now find organized crime, including the drug and child trafficking industries, being useful to serve some “so-called” greater interest. Eventually you have an entire nation and virtually everyone in it as crooked and powerless as their rulers, all casting a blind eye to the crime in their midst. Then when they find their own interests are threatened by that increasing tide, they find the criminal practices so protected and institutionalized that they are powerless to change anything.
In the West, lying and dishonesty have become so entrenched with the crooks in power that trust by the people in their governments and in other major sources of authority among themselves to be next to farcical. Everyone is left clawing about trying to save what they can. So ends all democracies built on the liberty of the strong over the weak and which have failed to take out the crooked with strict laws and people adhering to what is right and wrong, and not on truth, personal responsibility, producing mutual trust.
