I would never seek to diminish the sublime cultural legacy, vouchsafed by the Vedic tradition of Bharat. The breathtaking intricacy of temple architecture; the principles of pranic induction through meditation and body posture; the wisdom of the Rig Veda; the energetic essence of Ayurvedic medicine and of course, the teas of Assam are all world treasures.
I enjoyed the first linked article and it is indeed very persuasive. However, even one of the scholars, featured in the piece, suggests that Vedism was dispersed, from India to Mesoamerica, from a common progenitor source. The close similarities between Vedism and certain Native American tribal traditions cannot be disputed and do seem to suggest an Indian origin. What is not implicit in the evidence, is that one culture was necessarily seeded by the other.
The article omits any consideration of genetic research and of how this might help to elucidate the prehistory.
