We’re not even a week into the new year and already my predictions for 2024 are coming true.
I said crime would increase, including incidents where dozens of “youths” descend on a store, ransack it, and then run out the door with as much merchandise as they can carry – and no one is allowed to stop or arrest them.
Well, just days ago, over a hundred “youths” ransacked a Los Angeles bakery, stripped it clean, and stole everything that wasn’t nailed down. And, of course, there were no arrests. You can read about it and view some pictures here: New York Post.

‘Sin’? What is that? I thought we got rid of the idea when we said it no longer existed which was a great relief for all those walking around with a sense of guilt for thinking they had done something bad. Now, the only thing really bad is disobeying the government or breaking the law. This normalization of our interactions has all been made possible by getting rid of the idea of a god over us, as if there is something higher than the state or the money power running the world who is offended by what we do and don’t do.
It is the government and the all-powerful moguls behind them that we know to be all-powerful and who tell us what is right and wrong. By getting rid of god in our lives now our consciences more free from guilt and anything goes unless it is illegal. There might now be more laws to herd people this way and that, but with secular humanism, moral-relativism and especially Marxism, the only thing wrong you can do is to offend the state, and everything else goes.
Whoopee, just think of how free you are now where you have no-fault divorce and you are entirely free to screw your neighbor’s wife, or no-fault auto insurance where you can cripple some kid crossing in a crosswalk while stupidly driving your big machine through a red light and all the kid gets is some health care and a wheel chair. No, personal responsibility to others is a thing of the past. We now have to depend on the state and playing down this whole idea of personhood with personal rights, freedoms, and responsibilities is a very good thing.
We have bravely allowed those who have cast all moral restraints and the idea of god aside in the exercise of their freedoms and powers to have absolute authority over us, and now we are free to follow their example and to take want we can and get rid of anything we don’t want. Our leaders in getting rid of the idea of god and sin have given us our great freedoms to kill our unwanted offspring and anyone else including ourselves if we are a burden to others and to the state.
Why we are so free that today that if you want to commit acts of bestiality and marry a horse, there is nothing in the law to really to stop you. And, why not? It used to be that lying, deceiving, and stealing from others was illegal because they were acts both against the non-entity of god and the non-entity of a so-called “real person” called “your neighbor”. Now we are liberated from all of that crap and we can simply turn on the TV or go to our favorite internet site and do what we want.

Except that the verse after Malachi 4:5 explains what that restoration was:

Although John the Baptist did not recognize his role as Elijah, John’s role in how he would turn the hearts between the fathers and children was one of convincing the people to repent to prepare them for Christ and His New Covenant. (See John 1:19-23, Matthew 3:1-3.)
