A brutal Israeli attack targeting a refugee camp in Gaza has killed more than 100 people as the regime continues with its relentless aggression against the besieged Palestinian territory.
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa said in a Saturday report that many people had also been injured in the Israeli missile strike that took place earlier in the day and targeted the Jabalia refugee camp in the north of Gaza.
It said the attack had targeted a residential building belonging to a large family in Jabalia, adding that many members of the family were still missing under the rubble.
The attack comes a day after the Israeli regime resumed its brutal military campaign against Gaza after a seven-day ceasefire deal with Gaza’s ruling Hamas movement came to an end.
Nearly 200 people were killed in the renewed round of attacks on Gaza until early Saturday, according to Gaza Health Ministry authorities.
Israel’s aggression against Gaza started on October 7 hours after Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on the Israeli-occupied territories of Palestine near Gaza.
More than 15,000 people had been killed in Gaza in the first round of Israel attacks before the truce with Hamas came into force on November 24.
Israel had targeted Jabalia and other camps hosting refugees in Gaza in its first round of attacks.
More than a million people have been displaced in Gaza as a result of the Israeli aggression.
Rights organizations and governments have repeatedly condemned Israel’s indiscriminate targeting of places of gathering for displaced Palestinians, including hospitals, schools, mosques and refugee camps in Gaza.
US sends deadly bunker buster bombs to Israel for Gaza war

The United States has sent more weapons to Israel, including deadly bunker buster bombs, to assist the regime in its war against the besieged Gaza Strip, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Citing US officials, the American newspaper said Washington has provided Tel Aviv with 100 BLU-109 bombs that are capable of penetrating hardened structures before exploding.
The bomb, which carries a warhead weighing more than 900 kilograms, has previously been used in some of the deadliest Israeli attacks on the populated Palestinian territory, including an airstrike on the Jabalia refugee camp that killed more than 100 people last month.
The New York Times reported back then that the regime dropped at least two 2,000-pound bombs — the second largest type in its arsenal — on the site of the densely populated refugee camp.
Israel also used the bombs to strike Gaza’s tunnels that are a lifeline of the underground economy for the enclave — totally blockaded by land, air, and sea since the regime waged its war on the territory.
Tel Aviv alleges that the Hamas resistance movement has built its headquarters in bunkers and tunnels.
In mid-November, the regime’s forces raided al-Shifa Hospital, following days of heavy attacks in the area surrounding one of the largest medical centers in the Gaza Strip. Israel claimed that a cross-border tunnel had been built under the building.
Israeli soldiers entered the facility while tanks and bulldozers were stationed in the courtyard of the hospital, where around 7,000 people were sheltering, along with 1,500 patients and medical staff.
Hamas has strongly rejected the allegations, saying that Israel “which had no military achievements in Gaza, wants to take revenge on civilians and patients.”
Hamas issued a statement in response to the crimes in the hospital, holding Israel and the United States fully responsible for the consequences of the attack.
It said that “the United States is complicit in the occupation’s crime in al-Shifa hospital.”

This huge planet orbits an ultra-cool dwarf star named LHS 3154, located around 51 light years away from our solar system.
Scientists and astronomers are astonished at the unprecedented size difference between the planet and its star, and to put things in perspective, the mass ratio of the newly found planet with its host star is more than 100 times higher than that of Earth and the sun.
Scientists studying this bizarre planet-star duo have published their findings in a paper that was published in the journal Science.
“Theories of planet formation predict that low-mass stars should rarely host exoplanets with masses exceeding that of Neptune… High planet-to-star mass ratio is not an expected outcome of either the core accretion or gravitational instability theories of planet formation,” the abstract of the paper reads.
