In 1940 the Haganah bombed the Patria, a ship carrying Jewish refugees from Romania to Palestine. About 250 of them plus some British servicemen who had boarded the ship in Haifa port were killed. [The British were going to send the Jews to Mauritius. This was intended to look like the Jews blew themselves up rather than be deported.]
Asked his opinion, Ben-Gurion approved of the bombing as a ‘Zionist action’ although ‘no one expected so many victims’.
Deluding himself again, he said it was an ‘act of God’, not of the Haganah. In 1948, another ship, the Altalena — Jabotinsky’s pen name — arrived with a cargo of refugees, arms, and ammunition. Menahim Begin and Ben-Gurion could not agree on how the arms should be shared. Ben-Gurion was prepared to shoot it out and did: the ship was raked with gunfire, ‘Jews shooting Jews’ as Yitzhak Rabin remarked, and eventually set it on fire. The next morning Ben-Gurion responded with this comment: ‘Blessed is the cannon that bombed the ship. The cannon is worthy of standing in the Temple, if it gets built’ (435)…

Following on from Chesterton’s 19th century reference, I have to recommend “Great Red Dragon, or London Money Power” by B Woolfolk written in that era. Part one describes the International Jewish money power — Rothschild is head of the “syndicate” — as the financier and controller of all the so called 19th century American “robber barons”.
I seem to recall Eustace Mullins referencing him in his work on the Federal Reserve; J P Morgan — the guy on the Monopoly board — being an American banker who was also a mere agent of Rothschild. Woolfolk’s method is to reference the dead “robber barons’” bequeathments, which are far less than their super status had indicated in life. I never realised I needed to know all this until I read it, and I feel it was something that I’d been groping in the dark for, for some time.
The author gives good reasons for the nominally super rich being the mere agents at that time. Something we recognise about the likes of Gates, Musk, and the rest that occupy supposed “rich lists” in modern times. Woolfolk also has an informative section on the nefarious British East India Company.
I have another famous book called “The Robber Barons” by Josephson that carries no Rothschild reference at all in the index. Instead it is all about the protestant work ethic and some sharp if dubious behaviour. It carries a favourable review from the “New York Times” book review by Henry Hazlitt. A man who can wrote one of the best-selling economic books in the world without mentioning the Federal Reserve or Rothschild.
I might add that during quite substantial reading of political economy works over the last five years, I can say any such book that omits or minimises Rothschild influence should be regarded as, almost certainly, limited hangouts. While our attention is drawn to the Internationalist Jewish control of the more accessible media, the written word has been so compromised by the vested interests for over a century, that truthful books are few and far between. And I must say, writing without patronage is very difficult. The construction of a media complex that utilises establishment credentialed academics working for publishing houses, means that all the “best sellers” are almost always propaganda.
