If you have not yet read the book 1984 by George Orwell, you absolutely must.
I loathed that novel when I read it as a teen, because I hated the entire idea of an authoritarian government controlling its people so deftly. The dystopian world it described was just so depressing, so wrong, from the first page to the last. And yet, here we are, 80 years after Orwell first penned the book, and we see how that hellish science fiction novel is now playing out before us. Even the left-leaning Wikipedia describes the book as a “cautionary tale” whose theme centers on “the consequences of totalitarianism, mass surveillance and repressive regimentation of people and behaviours within society.” Modelled on the authoritarian states of Stalin’s Soviet Union and of Nazi Germany, the book takes a deep dive into the role of truth within a society, and the ways in which truth and facts can be manipulated by government to control the population. What you saw and heard with your own eyes and your own ears, the government denied and demanded you cast it aside and not believe it.

Through the Ministry of Truth, the government (referred to in the book as “Big Brother” or “the Party”) engages in endless propaganda, intense surveillance, and the open and obvious negating of historical fact. Individual thought, and questioning of authority led to immediate persecution. Why deny facts and rewrite history? Well, as Orwell says in the book,
“Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.”

Now let’s fastforward to present day. I will begin with this profound statement that keeps churning over in my head:
They must really think we are stupid!
The “they” is our government (federal and state). The “we” is you and me, and the other 300+ million Americans across our country.
Alas, here we are, entering the final quarter of 2023, and we have the United States government, and many state governments (including New York’s former Governor Andrew Cuomo, current left-wing Governor Kathy Hochul, and the super-majority Dem legislature) proclaiming for all to hear that they did not force anyone to do anything detrimental these past 3.5 years. UNBELIEVABLE! Did you hear this? They are actually saying with straight faces that they didn’t force you to wear a mask, or lockdown and shutter your businesses, or choose between taking an experimental drug or losing your job… Nope! They did none of that. And you – well, you are flat out crazy if you think they did. You are lying. You are exaggerating and totally overreacting.
Unfortunately for Big Brother, ooops, I mean unfortunately for our 100% reliable, never-lies-to-us government, we have actual documents (including lawsuits), news stories, social media posts, and videos of the government at all levels mandating and forcing us to do all of those things, and more. Here’s just one example of Biden himself, the “Big Guy,” mandating the C19 shot:

Biden is not alone. No, no. His entire administration is right there with him. His head of OSHA, Douglas Parker, is also now lying through his teeth about the OSHA mandate that REQUIRED (not suggested) that all employers in the entire nation with 100 or more employees force their employees to get the C19 shot, otherwise they had to wear a mask and test constantly for C19. (That OSHA mandate was struck down by SCOTUS last year because it was unconstitutional, by the way). Then there’s the head of HHS, Xavier Becerra, saying there was never a mask mandate. What?! Another blatant lie.
Please take the 2 minutes to watch this Congressman Kevin Kiley clip. You truly won’t believe your ears with the bullsh#* these Biden agency heads are spewing! As Congressman Kiley says in the video, the government is trying to tell us that “2 + 2 doesn’t equal 4.” You don’t get much more Orwellian than that!
Why are they backtracking now?
Easy answers: 1) they didn’t have the authority to do any of it (all of it was unconstitutional) so they can’t justify and defend it now, and 2) if they can convince you they didn’t do it before, then you won’t mind as much when they do it again.
This should make your blood boil. It’s particularly infuriating to those of us who were speaking out from basically day one trying to tell people that the lockdowns, the masking, the shots, the limited number of people at your wedding or at your Thanksgiving table were all violations of the Constitution and our basic human rights! My colleague, Jeffrey Tucker, who is the founder and President of the Brownstone Institute, where I am a Fellow, wrote an article the other day on this topic. At the end of it, he concluded:
The major media is tacitly conspiring with the political establishment, the corporate sector, and the administrative state to pretend like that fiasco was completely normal and also entirely forgettable, not even worth naming. We did the best we could with the information we had so just stop complaining about it!
This is not going to work. It is too close to living memory for this level of gaslighting to be effective. The more these official institutions engage in this crazy form of denialism, the more they discredit themselves.

The current Nazi elites have passed 1984 decades ago. Today, the Nazi West is dystopian many times beyond this famed book.
Hitler was a British intelligence creation, who was trained in the UK in 1912/13.
Orwell wrote ‘Shooting An Elephant’ per 1936, as this was when it was published. Keep in mind (pun intended) that Orwell was Eaton educated. Shooting An Elephant has many clues leading up to his other works, and 1984 published in 1949, shortly after the war and the often celebrated German Nazi propaganda machine, and given that Hitler was British trained, no wonder he had the best propaganda, the same propaganda in 1984 and used today, although it’s much more advanced, and sophisticated with hordes of thicko sheeple presstitutes and social media types policing the fields for the Nazis, and wait, most have no idea who or what they are working for.
Orwell was a big player. He was involved in the Fabian Society, although it’s decades since I studied this stuff, Orwell played a big role in shaping the current Nazi world.
In fact, Orwell was a Nazis, even if he didn’t know it. It would’ve been interesting to know his thoughts on WW2, but he died a relatively young ram.
His experiences in Shooting An Elephant are about empire, sheeple masses, coercion, by expectation, that he must shoot this beast.
I’ve no doubt that while he was in smokie backrooms, he had a desire to try and improve the world, but there’s that saying, ‘The road to hell is paved with best intentions’.
I am pretty sure Animal Farm and 1984 are allorgies from Nazi WW2. Maybe Orwell knew far more than we understand. The Nazis today are in propaganda heaven. Not only do they hold a vice like grip on sheeple reality, they control the fake news, but more importantly, they control the soft media and social media. Did I forget the alternative media?
Take Spielberg’s great first film, Duel (1971), where Dennis Weaver is chased by a evil truck. Clearly the truck has a ram driving it, but it’s not just a sheeple. In my opinion there’s a deeper meaning, that a salesram sheeple is harrased by this technocratic juggernaut. Today, they’d probably remake it using a Nazi police state car.

The majority of people in the west are vaccinated. That’s how they’re getting away with the above. There is something in that vax that has removed people’s innate ability to ask questions or contradict the government.

Did they not gain their control over all of the levers of power through amoral means utilizing the laws of the Darwinian jungle? Why, therefore, should anyone be surprised that they continue to exercise all of their powers through the same means?
Just as gratuitous sex is in vogue today, so is dishonesty. After all, are we not now a much more “free” society than in the past, where we used pretend that there was a right and wrong, a good and and evil, when at the same time we used to wink at what was wrong, especially if the deeds served our interests? Is not it altogether better that we let all of those things which we kept bottled up in the closet out to flourish in the fresh air and the full light of day? Are we not so much better off in letting all of those poor repressed homosexuals come out of their shunning to celebrate their proclivities in the full light of the day, and to groom young boys in that accepted “new normal”? Are we not now free from those silly religious and moral restraints to let it all hang out?
Are not women now completely liberated from the scourge of illegal abortions, unwanted pregnancies, and those terrible responsibilities motherhood, and to be totally equal to men in all respects, to have gratuitous sex and have that wonderful choice of either going childless or being a single mom? And did we not also turn the corner some 50 years ago on all of that repression in getting rid of the “unwanted”, so that those who are in one’s power and control really have no intrinsic or fundamental rights? Are we at least not more honest about the way we really are?
If we admit that we are essentially “sexual” human beings, and also essentially “animals”, then is it not also quite Kosher to adhere to the might-makes-right rules of the jungle to get ahead? Those who are most successful in the bankster and corporate sectors appear to know this quite well, and so do all successful politicians, bureaucrats, and most institutional heads. Has that not always been the way of the world? Is it not more honest to say you have sexual organs and to use them any way you want, than to hide them? Is it not more honest to say that it is natural for us to lie, cheat and steal if you want something? Is it not better that we stop pretending we ought to be “good” and realize that there is no good or evil, and that it is all relative to what we want, and success is really in the art of getting it?
So, dishonesty is now out of the closet as well, and the message is that we are actually essentially “dishonest” and “exploitive” beings, true to the survival instincts of our natures which have evolved from the meaningless ooze of our origins. Let us also now be honest about our inherent dishonesty and let it also reign supreme for the new normal and the Great Reset.
In 2019 the Canadian Parliament did away with all restrictions on the media which used to make lying to the public illegal, and gave them essentially the same rights as the government. Only they were not allowed to spread any lies the government of which did not approve. These were the same MP’s who later endorsed all Covid mandates, and pushed the vaccines on us (where incidentally they remained exempt), and virtually the same ones which recently honored the WWII Waffen SS Nazi. But don’t worry. It never happened.

In the fable, Animal Farm, George Orwell was allegorizing his own experiences during the Spanish Civil War, which he had previously treated upon, in his factual journalistic accounting, Homage To Catalonia. What disturbed Orwell, more than even the war itself, was the internicine fighting among factions of the People’s Army of Catalonia, which despite common belief, was predominantly made up of Catalonian separatists.
After the defeat of the Republic at the Battle of the Ebro River, where the Catalans lost some 60,000 men, leftist militias began to assume ascendency.
It was when Stalin engaged his plan to bring all socialist and communist militias under Soviet control, that the People’s Army atomised, with Anarchists and Catalonian patriots, fighting communists, in the streets of Barcelona and Tarragona. In Orwell’s novella, the pigs represent the Communist apparatchiks who betray their fellow animals and the principles that they purported to stand for. Animal Farm was written between 1943 and 1944, before the war with the axis powers had ended and was intended solely as an indictment of Soviet treachery in Spain.
There’s an interesting but little known aspect of the Battle of the Ebro River, which is, that the British units of the fifteenth international brigade, fighting alongside the Catalans, not only wore Catalan Nationalist badges and carried the Catalonian flag but were the first company to successfully cross the river and capture a nationalist stronghold.
The day after their success, there was a military ceremony, in which the British commanding officer presented the commanding officer of the Catalan Army with the Catalan flag that had been carried across the river by the British troops and the Catalan leader sacrosanctly planted the conquering flag on Catalonian territory.
1984 is about the Soviet Union.
