Brand was foremost a comedian, who I didn’t find that funny. So comedians are like chameleons, they easily change their colours, and as I’ve explained many times in the past, just because someone in the media portrays themselves as X, this doesn’t mean it’s them.
To be successful in the media, you must become a product which is almost unique. There’s no one out there trying Mick Jagger, unless they are a cover-band.
When Brand was in his pomp, he reminded me of the lead ram in in Citizen Smith who used to stand on the corner and bellow out ‘The Tooting Polular Front’, who had a ewe-friend who came from a very straight laced Nazi family.
Brand reminds me of this character, but with added drugs and booze. So PJW saying it was his change of politics, I disagree. Brand was doing a Madonna, reinventing himself. I’ve never met Brand, so I can’t say what he stands for.
I find it boring that we constantly have these left and right positions thrust into every narrative. Sure, PJW has always been ultra right wing, but you can’t make the same determination of Brand, because he a media performer, and he must be two things, relevant, and have have an act that sheeple like. They are linked, but different.
Take John Humphrys, he was always touted as left leaning, but the moment he left his BBC News lair, he went to work for a right wing Nazi rag, and was in fact very right wing, in bed with MI6, and pro Brexit, and he never gave a Nazi minister in office a hard time over Brexit.
BBC Today presenters are hand picked by MI6. In fact, most top BBC presenters in news and current affairs are only offered a position after MI6 gives the nod. I wouldn’t be in the slightest bit surprised if Brand was at least under the guidence of MI6. Why do I say MI6, because so much of the UK is linked to foreign interestes. In comparison, MI5 sweeps the gutters. My best description of Brand, and PJW, is that they are establishment nudgers, like sheeple dogs working the hillside.
