Jesus Christ was a Jew on His human side, we know this, this is no news. He had to be, in order for the plan of Salvation to work. This doesn’t imply that we owe anything to the jews as a nation, if anything, they were the ones who rejected Him and crucified Him, so they are His enemies. This love of modern jews by some Christians is not a general Christian thing, it is mostly a Protestant thing, especially in USA. Catholics and Christians in Europe in general do not place jews on any pedestal.
Protestants do this because they have been brainwashed and haven’t been taught the Bible properly. Modern jews aren’t Israel anymore, CHRISTIANS ARE. Israel always meant “God’s people” and it was always a spiritual term, not a biological one. After Jesus Christ, the minority of jews who believed in Him joined the Gentiles to form the new Israeli people. In fact, the term “Israelis” is more proper to describe modern Christians instead of “Christians” (which is why no one dares to use it or jews will scream from the rooftoops….). Most Protestants aren’t being taught this. They aren’t being taught that modern jews are in essence, enemies of Christ, they are not of Israel anymore, they do not belong to God, and are not be befriended but opposed. They take the Old Testament by the letter and apply it to modern times without understanding the meaning of it.
