I’ve seen several cars that were burned out by arsonists’ gasoline fires. None looked melted like this, with many parts totally evaporated.
Perhaps they can control the temperature of the DEW burn by how often thy flash the same point, or how many flashes they direct at that point all at once.

A typical sill of a car is made of sheet steel in thickness of 0.7-0.9mm, on older cars or volvos it could be 1.2mm.
0.7mm-0.9 is difficult to weld, even on low setting. You blow holes in it very easily, these burnt out cars are still solid steel and no holes shown. Besides I hold the opinion there are Dews but no space based Dews.
