Ukraine war: Volodymyr Zelenskyy warns ‘serious threat’ remains at Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant – as Russia launches drone attack on Kyiv
Ukraine has previously said Russian troops mined the nuclear plant. While the UN’s nuclear watchdog says its experts have so far found “no visible indications” of explosives at the plant, it says it needs additional access for further checks.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in southern Ukraine remains a “serious threat”.
Citing Ukrainian intelligence, the country’s president said Russia was “technically ready” to provoke a localised explosion at the facility.

Throughout the war nuclear experts have repeatedly raised concerns about the safety of the Zaporizhzhia plant, which Russia seized control of last March, due to shelling near and around it.
Ukrainian military intelligence previously said Moscow’s troops had mined Europe’s largest nuclear plant and claimed on Friday that the number of Russian personnel is gradually being reduced.
Mr Zelenskyy said: “There is a serious threat because Russia is technically ready to provoke a local explosion at the station, which could lead to a (radiation) release”, in a news conference in Kyiv with Spain’s prime minister.

Sky News isn’t alone in reporting supposed Russian plans to attack the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. Below are headlines from other MSM outlets that speculate on exactly the same thing.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive has stalled, having made little headway after sustaining heavy casualties. This leaves President Zelensky with few options, none of them particularly appealing for the actor turned politicians.
The first of these options will obviously mean Ukraine entering into negotiations with Russia. However, with Zelensky insisting that the war in ‘not over’ until Ukraine reclaims Crimea that obviously isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
This makes a false flag on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant one of the few option still remaining. After all, we’ve already seen one false flag in this war in the Nord Stream pipeline bombing. So with the counteroffensive having ground to a halt a false flag on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant might seem more appealing.
Using it as a pretext, Zelensky can appeal for direct NATO intervention and given the headlines above it seems that the Western MSM is hard at work preparing the public for just such an outcome.
We saw a similar process unfold with the invasion of Iraq. Remember all those entirely speculative reports about “Saddam’s Weapons of Mass Destruction”?
Once the invasion was underway those reports turned out to be entirely baseless. Saddam never had a WMD program and all those reports about it were simply used to fuel a ‘something must be done’ attitude to support the invasion. The Western MSM was in effect part of a propaganda machine

That is an excellent point. Where I am in the U.S., local media outlets had long been engaged in censorship of comments (before covid), which became more extreme over time, getting to the point where even mild criticism of the local, state or federal government was not allowed, and which finally culminated in the end of comments.
About six years ago or so I was banned from commenting on any high-traffic youtube channel where the subject involved politics, news/current events and/or religion/spiritual matters.
