What makes Paul Craig Roberts’ writing so powerful, is his ability to cut through false narratives and identify the elite agendas that are shaping events. This is the work of a truth-teller which is the designation that is typically applied to Roberts. The term refers to a person of deep moral convictions who devotes his life to exposing the lies and fabrications of the state and its corrupt allies. This is what Roberts has been doing for more than 40 years, and this is why thousands of people around the world flock to his website every day. They know his posts will be hard-hitting, well-researched and engrossing. More importantly, they know he will make every effort to bring them the unvarnished truth just as he has for more than four decades.
Roberts’ latest collection of essays, titled Empire Of Lies, is an assortment of articles that show the remarkable scope and depth of the author’s knowledge. Frequent visitors to his website will notice some familiar themes here while other topics may not have been as thoroughly explored. For example, there are many essays on the fragile US economy, the “experimental” Covid-19 vaccine, the war in Ukraine, the stolen presidential election and the January 6 fraud. At the same time, there are a number of other articles that one might not typically associate with Roberts. These include a short but riveting post on 9-11, ominous reflections on the year 2022, the manipulation of the bullion markets, and an astonishing piece titled “Germany did not Start World War 2”. Here’s a brief excerpt from the article:
“The aims of the National Socialist German Workers Party… (was) to correct the unemployment caused by unjust reparations forced on Germany… following World War 1 and to put Germany… back together.…
World War 2 began when the Churchill government and the French… declared war on Germany.……
The German leader, Adolf Hitler, had reacquired German territories given to Denmark, France and Czechoslovakia by the humiliating Versailles Treaty and had united with German Austria without war…. The British guarantee emboldened the Polish military dictatorship to refuse to negotiate the return of German territory…. All Hitler contributed was to force countries given German territory by the Versailles Treaty to release the lands and the Germans, who were heavily persecuted in Czechoslovakia and Poland. Hitler’s restoration of Germany’s national boundaries was misrepresented in the British and US press as ‘German aggression.’....
This fake news story of German aggression was used to to build the case that Germany, which was merely recovering its national territory, and rescuing German people from persecution in Czechoslovakia and Poland, was an aggressor with world conquest as its goal…
Hitler stated many times that he did not want, or intend, war with Britain and France and only intended to recover the lost German populations stolen from Germany by the unjust Versailles Treaty.” Empire Of Lies, Paul Craig Roberts, Korsgaard Publishing, page 280, 2023
In these few paragraphs, Roberts obliterates the foundation upon which our understanding of World War 2 rests. The author challenges the ideas that:
- That Hitler started the war
- And that Poland represented the first step in Hitler’s broader plan to conquer the world.
If neither of these is true, then we need to ask ourselves why Hitler’s invasion of Poland was used as a pretext for a full-blown world war instead of treated as a regional ‘border dispute’ as one would expect? Clearly, there was no need for France and England to declare war on Germany when Germany was simply gathering back the territories it had lost after Versailles. Had cooler heads prevailed, World War 2 could have been avoided. Here’s more from the text:
“During his political rise, Hitler had hardly concealed his attempt to dislodge Germany’s tiny Jewish population from the stranglehold they had gained over German media and finance, and instead run the country in the best interests of the 99% German majority, a proposal that provoked the bitter hostility of Jews everywhere. Indeed, immediately after he came into office, a major London newspaper had carried a memorable 1933 headline announcing that the Jews of the world had declared war on Germany, and were organizing an international boycott to starve the Germans into submission.” (Empire Of Lies, Paul Craig Roberts, Korsgaard Publishing, page 286, 2023)
This is another astonishing excerpt that conflicts with historical narratives propagated in the West. In the United States, students are told that Hitler’s treatment of the Jews was fueled by his insatiable antisemitism, but here the author suggests that there were social and economic reasons for his policies as well. That doesn’t diminish the gravity of Hitler’s depredations, but it does create a more plausible explanation for why events unfolded the way they did. At the very least, Roberts provides a thought-provoking analysis that veers from the oversimplified “Hitler was a homicidal maniac” narrative that is used to answer every question and to effectively blunt critical thinking. In contrast, Roberts’ treatment of the topic generates curiosity which points the reader in the direction of more research which is the author’s intention.
Roberts treatment of the Civil War is equally provocative. In a chapter titled How We Know The So-Called “Civil War” Was Not About Slavery, Roberts disputes the widely-held view that the war between the states was launched to free the slaves. Here’s an excerpt from the piece that helps to explain:
“Two days before Lincoln’s inauguration as the 16th president, Congress, consisting of only the northern states, passed overwhelmingly on March 2, 1861, the Corwin Amendment that gave constitutional protection to slavery. Lincoln endorsed the amendment in his inaugural address saying, “I have no objection to its being made express and irrevocable.”
Quite clearly, the North was not prepared to go to war to to end slavery when on the very eve of war the US Congress and incoming president were in the process of making it unconstitutional to abolish slavery.”
Here we have absolute total proof that the North wanted the South kept in the Union far more than the North wanted to abolish slavery.”....
The real issue between the North and South could not be reconciled on the basis of accommodating slavery. The real issue was economics as DiLorenzo, Charles Beard and other historians have documented. The North offered to preserve slavery irrevocably, but the North did not offer to give up the high tariffs and economic policies that the South saw as inimical to its interests.” (Empire Of Lies, page 221)
Later in the text, Roberts lifts a quote from Lincoln’s inaugural address that further supports his point of view. Lincoln says:
“I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the states where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so.”
Roberts presents his case rationally and persuasively, but Lincoln made other comments that appear to conflict with those above. He also said, “Government cannot endure permanently half slave, half free,” and that the public mind must rest in the belief that slavery is in the course of ultimate extinction. Even so, the passing of the Corwin Amendment in 1861 strongly suggests that Congress was not planning to go to war to end slavery otherwise they wouldn’t have supported the bill. So, how is it that so many Americans cling to the idea that the Civil War was a struggle to end slavery?
Just as historians have tried to describe World War II as a “morally unambiguous” intervention, so too, historians have transformed the Civil War from a bloody dispute over tariffs into a righteous struggle against human bondage. Unfortunately, the propaganda does not align with the facts which suggests that more mundane factors were involved. Lincoln’s actions were not guided by some higher principle any more than FDR’s efforts to drag the country to the Second World War was aimed at “defeating fascism”. In both cases, the presidents pursued policies that were aimed at crushing their enemies while increasing the power of the state. It’s the job of the court historian to make these recurrent bloodbaths look like lofty moral crusades, but they are not, which is why we are fortunate to have researchers like Roberts to strip away the fakery and expose the self-serving machinations of raw political ambition.
In another chapter titled The Proof is In: The Election Was Stolen, Roberts contests the outcome of the 2020 presidential election not based on voting machine snafus or the mail-in ballot fiasco or any of the other technical glitches that beset the election. Instead, he presents a number of “common sense” observations that reveal the utter implausibility of a Biden victory. Take a look:
Consider that Joe Biden’s Twitter account has 20 million followers.
Trump’s Twitter account has 88.8 million followers.
Consider that Joe Biden’s Facebook has 7.8 million followers
Trump’s Facebook account has 34.72 million followers.
.How likely is it that a person with 4 or 5 times the following of his rival lost the election?
Consider that Trump’s campaign appearances were heavily attended but that Biden’s were avoided…..
Consider that despite Biden’s total failure to animate voters during the presidential campaign, he won 15 million more votes than Barack Obama did in his 2012 re-election.
Consider that Biden won despite under-performing Hillary Clinton’s 2016 vote in in every US urban country, but outperformed Clinton in Democrat-controlled Detroit, Milwaukee, Atlanta, and Philadelphia the precise cities where the most obvious and blatant electoral fraud was committed.
Consider that Biden won despite Trump bettering his 2016 vote by ten million votes and Trump’s record support from minority voters.
Consider that Biden won despite losing the bell-weather counties that have always predicted the election outcome and the bell-weather states of Ohio and Florida.
Consider that Biden won in Georgia, a completely red state with a red governor and red legislature both House and Senate. Somehow a red state voted for a blue president.

There are many more of these eye-opening observations in the book, but they all underscore the same dismal fact; that the election was stolen and that the wrong man now sits in the White House. It’s very clever of Roberts to avoid abstruse technical issues and to make his case based on the glaring inconsistencies that ordinary people can understand. The idea that Joe Biden, who was unable to draw enough supporters to fill a small gymnasium, got 15 million more votes than Barack Obama is laughable in the extreme. Roberts should be applauded for taking the time to create this compelling compilation that greatly reinforces his thesis that the election was rigged.
This is what we have come to expect from Roberts who always goes the extra mile to bring the truth to his readers. His latest contribution, Empire Of Lies, follows in that same tradition. The book is a varied digest of the author’s recent work covering a broad range of topics that include everything from Neo-Nazis in Ukraine to the manipulation of gold prices. It’s a fascinating read that moves quickly due to uniqueness of the subject-matter and Roberts blunt but explosive writing style. Simply put, there’s something here for everyone. I’ll finish with a quote from Harold Pinter’s Nobel acceptance speech which, in many ways, could have been a description of Paul Craig Roberts:

I esteem Paul Craig Roberts. He’s a very important source of truth for those still in the camp of the sheeple. He’s not needed as much by those of us from whose eyes the scales have already fallen, however.
RE: the “Civil War,” which wasn’t a civil war, but a war of succession, I agree that the primary objective of the Federal Government, the actual aggressor (not the “north”), was not the ending of slavery. It’s obvious that human rights were not high on its list of values…consider, for instance, that so many of its officers engaged in a war of attrition and starvation on the western Native Americans immediately after the end of the so-called Civil War, and that vast swaths of Native lands were stolen in that process. What happened to their love of man then? Of course, the love of man theme is hogwash…tripe thrown at the simple-minded.
Still, I must say that an objective analysis of the motivations of the warring parties to the “Civil War” would also seek an honest assessment of the motivations of the southern leadership (apart from those of the southern common folk), as they were the holders of the vast majority of slaves (90-95%). The south’s leadership was comprised of so-called “aristocrats” who didn’t necessarily represent the best interests of the common folk (in fact, probably didn’t). Why the lurch towards succession upon the election of Lincoln? Surely, the south would have been better of if cooler heads had prevailed and slavery had been allowed to grind away to an end on its own over a somewhat longer period of time, as happened in Brazil for instance in the 1880’s.
But of course, the aristocrats had in mind a “rich man’s war and a poor’s man fight,” same as what we’ve seen in recent wars (Vietnam for instance) and, if the neocons get their way, in a hypothetical US/NATO entry into the war in Ukraine or in a war with Iran. I’m old now, so I won’t be in either war if it should occur (at least not as a soldier, though possibly as a civilian casualty, what will be a new concept to Americans outside of the South, who think that God has ordained them to make war but never suffer its effects). As a frequent visitor to The TruthSeeker and other like-minded sites, however, I could never be induced to volunteer as a soldier even if I were still young, as I’m well aware that almost all wars are intended to benefit the few, usually on both sides, at the expense of the many, and practically all of them are completely contrived and unnecessary.
As to a “just” war…there is such a thing, but Americans are too ill-informed, strung out on Adderall and like drugs, obese, hooked on porno and internet gambling, and busy working two jobs to make payments on over-sized houses and pickup trucks to conceive of such thing. The real enemy of course is here, not in Russia or Iran.
Makes sense if PCR was correct about Hitler. But in most of PCRs articles he refers to “insouciant” Americans, which in the past I had issues with. Now that I know he’s not referring to all Americans as “insouciant” (but still, the insouciant ones are in somewhat of a majority because they simply haven’t been impacted by all the woke garbage yet, but will be, because they asked for it!), I am more likely to agree to his “insouciant Americans” notion.
Unfortunately, having “deep convictions” of any kind, does not make one into a truth teller. Many of us agree may agree with the views on Whitney and Roberts on various issues mainly because their views tend to support some of our interests. No doubt PCR’s recent work “Empire of Lies” has many historical and present-day insights, but it is still a selection from a vast array of historical facts, no matter how true they are in themselves, leaving out gobs of other factors, and no doubt designed to prop up that same empire. PCR, I find, is still a Trump loyalist, but that man is clearly a puppet of the Anglo-Zio-Masonic establishment in the US which appears to own everything including the media, and which claims to have won WWI and WWII, and sent men to the moon. It is also an establishment which runs the surveillance state, vast perception-management organizations, destroyed nations such as Iraq, Libya and Syria, and which pulled off the Covid plandemic. If not a Trump or a Biden, it will be one more puppet leader to do their bidding.
As the next US presidential election looms over the horizon we hear that announcement being repeated in so many different ways, “Calling all conservatives and patriots! Calling all conservatives and patriots! We have a chance to save what you value the most.”. Then in our coming back to elections and politics as the solution, which is essentially interest trumping truth in conformity to the underlying political reality of might trumping right all of the time, we are bound to be ushered into another US super-bowl election extravaganza wearing either red or blue hats either to take sides in another really big shew, seemingly just for yew, but really for the few.
Both PCR and Whitney are probably right that in some respects Hitler did have very strong justifications for his Jew bashing with how that particular money-power in control of the UK and the US finances and the media was instrumental in defeating Germany in WWI and in Germany’s continued demise thereafter. The facts however are that WWI and WWII were also clashes between diverse empires. There was and remains that Anglo-Masonic one in the West using mainly the Jewish money power, and there was that very Prussian militaristic and German expansionist one rising from central Europe wanting its place in the sun just like the English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, and American colonial empires all over the world. Germany having been unified by Bismarck in the previous century was spreading its wings, stepping on big toes and plans of that Anglo empire, and when Hitler came along his main goal ostensibly was Lebensraum for the German people to the east which necessitated the conquering of the USSR. Now, the communist USSR was prodigy empire of the Western Jewish money-power and Hitler’s designs could not be allowed. Also, the Anglo Masonic empire of the West even before WWI had always viewed the control of Russia as the key to global hegemony. Hitler no doubt was not just after Lebensraum, and the predominate Anglo Masonic establishment thinking was that if Hitler did conquer Russia, Germany would become the dominate nation in die welt.
In pre-WWII, other than Japan which was developing a Pacific oceanic empire, the only other major empire on the prowl was the USSR which was prodigy of the Jewish money-power also seeking dominance. Coincidentally, the Western Anglo Masonic empire centered mainly in the UK and the US and the Russian Communist Masonic empire of the USSR won WWII, and that same money power has clamed vast returns for their lending practices ever since, making them the dominate power.
It was not antisemitism which turned so many nations in Europe into fascist doctorships before WWII. It was the reaction of their mainly Christian establishments against the spread of communism. However, the money power in the UK and the US in the 1930’s was less of a Christian establishment and much more of the Jewish and Masonic one, and their moguls were not going to allow Hitler’s war machine to roll over Stalin. A more middle view in the US in the 1930’s was to let both the German Reich and the USSR destroy each other in a war. However, despite the US entering WWII two years after it started, it really had already taken sides and in the years before it was busy building up its war machine, while preparing a pretext, or justification, to convince the American people on the side of the “Allies” – i.e., Pearl Harbor. The US empire from the early 1930’s could see that its Pacific interests were being threatened by a rising Japanese empire, and also with Germany and Russia not destroying each other, if they did not intervein their support of Stalin would end up with him controlling the whole of Europe.
Those are the general facts in the history of the various contending empires and their interests in the 20th century, and since then we have seen the dominance of the US empire along with the dominance of the US money-power dollar and the rise of communist China to superpower status, while the corporatocracies of all of all of our puppet nations in the West and in the rest of the world are doing their best to spread of cultural Marxism in all levels of our lives and to break down any Christian resistance and foundations. Also, we see this happening through virtually all of the UN organizations.
If WWII has taught us anything, it is that a return to fascism will not likely save anything. Certainly the globalist, totalitarian NWO as represented by the UN, the WEF and all such UN-based world forums is nothing but a marriage between the international communist movement and corporate fascism, and it is an order which is totally supported by that same formidable top-down bankster, money-power order which pulled off the entire Covid plandemic, almost without a hitch. The hitch was the unadulterated truth leaking out and getting into the minds of people giving them the power to resist the lies. Indeed, it is full access to the truth for everyone which is paramount to any responsible personal or political decision.
Had that been done in the 20th century, had mass deception and government and establishment lying been outlawed and there had been full disclosure by the powerful on all issues vital to the citizenry, there would have been no communist revolution in Russia, or a WWI, or a WWII. Each and every empire, even the Jewish-Masonic international communist one, thrives on controlling the facts and distorting them to advance their own interests. As with any evil intention in our own lives, they can only really be consent if we first justify the intention through deception, and that is why those in power always rely on deception and they never really “share” the crucial facts with the people in any way which may create opposition to their plans and intentions. That is why full disclosure to the facts on such things as the vaccines is so crucial.
Knowledge is power and shared knowledge is shared power and can only lead to shared responsibility. There will never be any equality in our powers of understanding and memory, but if we can root out the right of those in power to lie to us, and impose on them a duty of full disclosure regarding that which affects our interests, we can close the gaps of general and public ignorance, and as for those who actually are able to know and understand more than others, it is the access to the truth which is the most reliable check against any of their abuses. The truth also has a unitive power as it simply leads to trust, and next to the truth, trust is the most effective gab closer.
If the so-called “elected” representatives were to be a Trump or a DeSantis who first of all have to be approved, anointed, and funded by the dominate moguls in the very-dishonest, money-power establishment controlling that nation, which is clearly not a Christian one, it is doubtful that any of the NWO plans of that establishment will be thwarted in the least, or even if such people were elected that they would be allowed even to try doing anything to divert or hinder the totalitarian plans of the unchecked few for us in the works.
