The U.S. is unwilling to yet give up in its proxy war with Russia in Ukraine. Russia can not stop the war without securing its legitimate interest to keep NATO and/or the U.S. out of its neighbor state. A loss of the war would create an existential danger for Russia.
With the two major powers engaged in a war a third party is needed to solve the conflict.
In the spring of last year Turkey and Israel successfully helped to find a peace agreement. A good solution was found and Russia as well as Ukraine agreed to it. But the U.S. needed the war to continue. It sent the British prime minister Boris Johnson to Kiev to sabotage the deal. The Ukrainian president was told that the country would lose all ‘western’ support should it sign an agreement with Russia.
As the somewhat neutral middle powers were unable to push any agreement through it became obvious that a third party with more heft was needed to seal a deal.
The time of moving towards a deal also needed to be right. On February 24, exactly a year after the war had started, China announced its Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukraine Crisis. This was not a peace plan but a lay out of things that will need to be understood and done to come to a sustainable solution of the crisis.
A months later China took the next step that will be needed in the process. It introduced a high ranking diplomat who will hold the preliminary talks in Ukraine and Russia to find the potential ways to proceed. The announcement was made after a phone call between the presidents Xi and Zelensky:

Russian and Belarus forces are waiting for US and Polish forces to enter UKraine, that’s enter wearing their uniforms, and any bullshit about being a peace keeping force, well you can forget that, because they are going to get wiped out.
As I pointed out the other day. Russia has stopped using it’s hypersonic weapons, so they are keeping them back, and adding to their stocks.
This could be for a major attack on NATO cities, NATO command centers and bases, such as Ramstein, Lakenheath, and Fylingdales. Not a full list.
Westminster Abbey would be a peach target, as a prelude to and all out attack. Just because the UK needs to atone for their historical crimes, and their 20 year secret war with Russia.
The thing is, the British and Amerikan Nazis are so up themselves, they don’t think the Russians have the balls to do it. Russia holds all the cards, they have the offensive weapons, and the best missile defense systems. This is their sweet spot, and it won’t last forever.
Putin it holding back a tsunami of Russian hate towards the West, and especially the UK.
This rejection of Chinese peace, could be the Chinese green light for Russia to act.

Towards the end, the BBC informed its compulsory license-fee paying readership “News of the phone-call made headline news in China’s carefully controlled state media outlets, which printed China’s interpretation of the call”
This was after the carefully controlled British state media outlet had provided its own interpretation of the call :-
“The likelihood of China helping to end the war appears remote, not just because Russia has shown no readiness to withdraw its forces from Ukraine’s sovereign territory. It is a key demand from Kyiv that President Zelensky reiterated: “There can be no peace at the expense of territorial compromises.”
Critics have also questioned the idea of Beijing acting as a mediator, citing not only Mr Xi’s firm friendship with Russia’s leader but also China’s soaring trade with Russia and its refusal even to speak of an “invasion”. ”
Who are these unnamed ‘critics’?

It is always refreshing to look at the Chinese perspective, so I compared the BBC Report to The Global Times.

It IS a good read, too. Obviously even Chinese ‘tabloids’ have a regard for depth, detail and the English Language that none of the silly-wimmen and metrosexuals of the BBC Newscorps can even approach.
I advise reading the ‘Global Times’ story – it will probably take you approximately 24 times longer than the BBC Newscorp’s ‘non-tabloid’ piece of prose aimed at the average eight year old’s level of intelligence, but concludes in bracing and hopeful fashion –

I doubt that the BBC’s Steve ‘Nazi-denier’ Rosenberg could even get his tongue around that last sentence.

The biggest issue here is that Z is following US/nato orders- he cares not one iota for his country man, he will already have an exit plan for him and his family in place at a moments notice- he will drag this to the wire and then disappear a wealthy man
