In 2020 and 2021 the test of choice when someone had flu-like symptoms was the covid-19 PCR test. Once this test returned a positive result, no further testing was done. Positive covid results were easily manipulated by controlling the cycle counts used in the PCR testing. A cycle count of 28 (doublings of dna from original sample) is considered my many scientists to be the maximum count from which a positive result can be considered meaningful. Setting the maximum allowed cycle count to 28 was one way Florida got control over the covid-19 pandemic.
Many labs around the country were using cycle counts of from 35 to 40. At such high cycle counts the materials used to run the the test can actually start to break down and generate positive results without any covid-19 dna present at all. When asked by an Oregon state senator I know, what cycle counts were being used in Oregon, the Oregon Health Authority responded that it did not know because the decision about cutoffs was left to individual labs.
Imagine an important public health criteria being left to individual labs to decide! It is absurd to imagine that using high cycle counts was an oversight or bad judgement. It was the keystone to the entire fear campaign that centered on “cases” rather than infectiousness. Every health official in every state could have enforced the same 28 cycle count maximum that Florida did, and the “pandemic” would have disappeared almost overnight.
All that said, children generally had few covid infections prior to the introduction of the “vaccines,” so perhaps there really were fewer flu cases among children.
