Oxford rower Felix Drinkall was rushed to hospital after collapsing towards the end of the 2023 Boat Race. Drinkall was seen clearly in distress before collapsing during the event on the River Thames.
The rower reportedly collapsed in his boat and his team rowed to the side of the river so their colleague could receive urgent medical attention. It has been confirmed that Drinkall was conscious after the race.
Team-mate Tossilo von Meuller confirmed Drinkall was awake as he was taken away by paramedics. The race continued to its end, with Cambridge winning the prestigious race.
Drinkall could be seen looking exhausted and barely able to hold his oar before dropping to the ground. It was clear that he needed medical attention.
Von Meuller had to be reassured on the BBC‘s live coverage that his friend was okay. Interview by presenter Sue Barker, the Oxford president said: “I don’t know how Felix is. He wasn’t great in the boat. I hope he is alright.
“It is not the result we wanted to come out with. It is a battle between two sides so one will lose…”
Barker interjected to say: “We are hearing that Felix is recovering, we will give you an update when we know it.”
Oxford had fallen behind Cambridge in the race and struggled to chase their rivals. It ended with Cambridge leaping into a six-second lead.
"This is one of the best races we've seen in years."

Cambridge’s celebrations were understandably subdued. Spectators were clearly concerned about the condition of Drinkall as he was led away on a stretcher by paramedics.
Ollie Boyne, the men’s president of the Cambridge Boat Club, was thrilled as he responded to his team’s triumph. “It has been an incredible performance by the crews, it is a great sign for the club,” he said.
“The conditions were really difficult but that was down to the tide and that it is what makes the race so special. It means everything to the guys and the team as a whole after sixth months of day in, day out work.”

I know that in theory Oxbridge association is considered meritocratic, there is nevertheless something of an innate class dimension to all of this.
In so far as the latter predominates, I have come to think of the “the boat race” as something of anachronism that sits nicely along “lord and ladies”, the “changing of the guard”, and so on. Internationally, it further the idea of “quaintness” associated with Britain. (Not that we don’t have far more serious problems of course…)
It would be more interesting to cover any scamdemic injuries in the Blogg St versus Biff St Polytechnics freestyle skateboarding competition IMO…
Triple vaxxed??
Good riddance. These libturd commie-fascist types are the future middle-managers of the predator classes, so the more of them who croak, and choke, and bite the dust … the better place our world will be.
“Buh, duh, you didn’t even know the guy, how could you say that?”
Simple: rowing team. At these communist indoctrination camps, being on the rowing team has NOTHING to do with fitness, athleticism, rowing abilities, etc … it has everything to do with establishing networks among budding psychopaths who will or administer the rotten system put in place by the judeo-masonic predators.
The mere fact that he was on the Oxford rowing team tells you everything there is to know about him.
Who gives a flying F..k, just die without fanfare and bothering us..

US Expert Panel To Meet To Determine Which Adverse Events COVID-19 Vaccines Cause
MAR 27, 2023
A group of U.S. experts is set to meet soon as part of a project to determine which adverse events the COVID-19 vaccines cause
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) has appointed a committee to review evidence on the relationship between the vaccines and specific adverse events that have occurred after vaccination, including infertility and sudden death.
Specific Issues
HHS officials directed NASEM to convene the ad hoc committee to review “the epidemiological, clinical, and biological evidence” in assessing whether the vaccines cause certain conditions.
The adverse events include conditions that officials already say are caused by one or more of the vaccines, including myocarditis, a type of heart inflammation caused by all four of the vaccines available in the United States, and thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome, an often-fatal condition caused by the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The other specific events are:
* Thromboembolic events like pulmonary embolism
* Sudden death
* Capillary leak syndrome
* Chronic headaches
* Transverse myelitis
* Bell’s Palsy
* Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy
* Guillain-Barrè Syndrome
* Hearing loss
* Tinnitus
* Infertility
* Shoulder injuries
Eons ago I was interviewed during the milk round for a job with Jardine Matheson before I knew what these types were about. I’d gone to a Scottish high school. His opening salvo was to ask me where on earth the school was in order to inform me that this was the first year his company “had ever interviewed the riffraff – don’t you know, dear boy, we always go for Oxbridge; they have the right connections.”
A ‘Bollox’ story.
watch old black & white coverage of this nonsense,
They used to ‘collapse’ & flail about back then too.
Even Charlton Heston & his buddies were jiggered after they rowed at, ‘The gaffer wants you to row at Water skiing speed’.
Give the guy on the drum a glass of water, he must be exhausted.
🙂
When I went to a gym about ten years ago, I found that the rowing-machine was the worst one for putting a big strain on the heart, because of the orientation of the body
The body is bent over at the pull, so the blood is not being pumped in a straight line at that time
