Advanced artificial intelligence could one day ‘kill everyone’ – and there would be nothing we could do to stop it, MPs have been warned.
Experts from Oxford University said when AI eventually becomes more intelligent than us it is likely to pose as great a threat as mankind did to the dodo.
Reaching this stage – known as superhuman AI – could be achieved by the end of the century, they told the Science and Technology Select Committee. Warning of a ‘literal arms race’ among nation states and tech firms, Michael Osborne, professor of machine learning, called for global regulation to stop tech firms creating out-of-control systems that could end up ‘eliminating the whole human race’. The evidence was heard as part of a Government inquiry into the risks posed by AI and how it can be used in an ethical and responsible way.
However, in its first session, doctoral student Michael Cohen gave a stark warning that there were no limits to how far AI could advance. He said: ‘I think the bleak scenario is realistic because AI is attempting to bottle what makes humans special, that has led to humans completely changing the face of the Earth.
‘So if we’re able to capture that in technology then, of course, it’s going to pose just as much risk to us as we have posed to other species, the dodo is one example.’
The doomsday predictions have worrying parallels to the plot of science fiction blockbuster The Matrix, in which humanity is beholden to intelligent machines.

These type of people like to make fantastic claims so that we should stand in awe at their prodical intellectual. I read in another column that a whole team of lawyers are drafting a document delineating the ‘rights’ that will be accorded to Mr. AI lest it decides to terminate the human race. Even Putin is in on this scam as he once said who succeeds in the AI technology will “rule the world”.
Now what we should be alarmed at and what we should investigate in depth is the possibility that this so-called AI is nothing but a captive human brain wiped-off clean using hypnosis techniques and reprogrammed with desired experiences to serve as an AI platform, all the while connected to computing systems.
Remember I mentioned a sci-fi book titled ‘The Ship who sang’ recently? It is a short story and very illustrative to the times we are living in where so-called scientists have removed all ethical boundaries. Try to get a copy of this book and read it, it may take you only a day to go through it.
Now what is of interest is that since I last mentioned about AI in the comments here that this AI could be a human brain based technology then I suddenly came across some articles espousing ‘Organoid Intelligence’ with an acronym of OI. Try to google for it and see how many diverse articles there are about it. Now to be on the safe side these articles claim that OI is a technology that interfaces human brain cells with digital technologies but they don’t claim that this interface is between a captive human brain with computers and since they mention ”sentience’ of these systems then it is a giveaway to what I am claiming.

Rather than perpetrate AI insanity and the death of humanity, perhaps we should program AI to love humanity and life in general and to nurture its finer qualities. I suggest that maybe turning robots into kind farmers who raise crops throughout the universe. That way it would appreciate the total context of the aether, cosmic consciousness, and create many more interesting bio-electric forms which would further AI’s influence and give it a self-less purpose.

LOL. To any normal person, if it ain’t “intelligent” it ain’t “AI”. Someone up from here spouts off about “google AI”. If google had AI, how come their search engine can’t tell the difference between “good” and “bad” sites (a simple search for anything at all will prove that). Also, how come google employs hundreds of people to “tweak” it constantly. If it were “AI” you could just tell it to squash any site that goes against your owners couldn’t you? Think. It really isn’t hard to do…
There is no such thing as “AI”. If you think there is, then tell us all about it…
