i.e. bodies
Compared to saving your soul?
If you’re like most people, it is something like 95% – ass; 5% – soul
Yet, no matter what, we’re all going to die in our bodies.
And possibly live for eternity as souls.
So, rationally, we should devote 95% of our energy to saving our souls and only 5% to saving our ass.

As St. Paul would say, the body is destined to die because of sin. Therefore, if our souls so identify with our mortal bodies and temporal desires that at death there is nothing else eternal, holy and above for us to cling to, then surely our souls will be dragged down to corruption and be left in the void in dissolution. With the separation of the soul from the body, each soul is as a distinct person, a distinct being, and must wait either in the light in the realm of God, or in the darkness, until the body is remade, for a soul without a body is not the completion of God’s creation and plan for man. As it ought to be the artist who is the priest of the good life as did live Christ, so also it should be the priest who should be the artist of a good death as did Christ die.

@Damien. You are probably jewish yourself. I have come to realize that only jews have such an obsession with hating Christianity and Jesus Christ. Jews that populate comments…. Most atheists don’t care that much about Christianity. It is not like Christianity makes any decisions or has any influence in the west, and hasn’t for many decades now. So why still hating Christianity that much? You are not living in a Christian nation, because no Christian nation exists. You are living in secular societies. Why keep mentioning Christianity, it doesn’t affect your life in any way, shape, or form… Only if you are a Jew, you would insist on hating it that much….
