A California baker – who identified as an anarchist and social justice advocate – died after she was the victim of a brutal theft. Family and friends don’t want the criminals who are linked to her death to be prosecuted because that would allegedly go against the woman’s values.
Jennifer Angel went to a Wells Fargo bank branch in Oakland on Monday afternoon. A car pulled in front of her vehicle and blocked her from leaving, Angel’s fiance, Ocean Mottley, told the San Francisco Chronicle.
A spokesperson with the Oakland Police Department said that around 12:30 p.m., “an individual broke into” Angel’s car while she was in it and stole an item, then ran back “to a waiting vehicle.”
Angel chased after the thief and got caught in the door of the fleeing car. She was reportedly dragged down the street for more than 50 feet, hitting her head several times.
She was rushed to Highland Hospital, where she was put into a medically-induced coma. Angel underwent emergency surgery, and part of her skull was removed to help with severe swelling in her brain.
Jennifer died from her injuries sustained in the robbery on Thursday. Doctors confirmed that Angel had lost all brain function.

Why didn’t she just let them take her property and wave them away with a big smile?

……after I read similar stories that’s my first suspicion.
Finally…..her family has the “right” to forgive the perpetrators???.
…….but these subhumans are still on the loose and may find more victims.

It is unfortunate that “anarchism” is being conflated with “social justice warriorism”.
(Modern) Anarchism or political philosophies advocating decentralised power have contributed important ideas. The idealism of the anarchist activists has historically been subsumed and hijacked by the more politically adroit and statist — hankering for power — leftists. It is this social justice wokism that is a later incarnation of the (leftist) hypocritical grab for power.
Within the cycles of a civilisation — as suggested by the Greek philosophers — “anarchism” has been regarded an involuntary state of affairs considered as natural to a people as the various ages from conception to old age are for an individual. To wit, anarchism in its Greek sense might be regarded as the removal of a carcass of a dead society making way for new life.
The more modern nuance as a possible form of continuing self-governance seems impractical to me. It is water with no earth. Human beings naturally come together, organise, and delegate. That corruption and betrayal occurs over time in a civilisation through a necessary centralisation seems natural too. (The tug of war between local government and central government over the decades seems to be a narrow illustration of this to me.)
For the individual, in our current society with a declaration of war of a corrupt statist system against the people, an anarchist perspective makes perfect sense to those of us who wish to survive.
This is an example not of virtue but of TERMINAL STUPIDITY!
And the Cops in Oakland never respond to robberies on time anymore anyway. They show up a couple hours later and steal your stuff. Hurray for Soros funded DAs.

I’m with gunderrig and praetorian gourd above, she apparently had a change of heart when it was her own stuff that was being stolen. Its easy to be a “social justice advocate” when it doesn’t involve you personally. And of course, as antiJHWH and RAH pointed out, never trust a hospital! That should be abundantly clear by now.
