It depends. Only if you forget history, and leave out the entire 20th century, world wars, the first “flu pandemic”, holocaust, geeze the list would fill volumes.

My dear Henry, it is all as elementary as A-B-C.
At the top, in the A position, at the Apex of our crumbling civilization you have all of the Authorities – the Almighties. Then down below you find the Common people – the C class. The B class is made up of the Between people in the middle, including the Brainwashers and Bastards who carry out in lockstep obedience the commands from those in the A level. The problem is that all of those in the A positions get their Authority mainly from themselves, or perhaps as you say from some dark underworld source at the tail end of the alphabet which thinks that most people in C class are mere shit.
Most of the people in both A and B classes today are completely content with the fact that God and his laws have been long struck from the official registry of things in the running of this world – completely cast out of the public squares everywhere, the legislatures, the courts, universities, big business, and the professions. The poor chaps at the top wielding their craft from their Almighty Apex have become overwhelmed with their responsibilities and so imbued and with their plans that the last thing they can afford is interference from anything above or beyond them, and any belief adhered to by their underlings, and especially any intrusions from that ancient Judaeo-Christian presence, which they have worked so hard at in removing from the hearts and minds of the masses of the Common people travelling in C class.
For the past 200 years you professors in B class have done a pretty damn good job in removing from the masses any real and divine basis for the Rule of Law leaving it now bereft of God and totally at the the mercy of those who have scratched and clawed their way to the Apex of Authority by breaking every one of His laws. Most importantly, they have systematically killed off the belief that all people are essentially Children of God which is the only really sustaining principle of the Rule of Law, and the basis of all of our fundamental rights and freedoms. Those now at the Apex of our civilisation want to tear it down and to build it back according to their own order, and mainly through their obedient fiat-grubbing B class people, to manage those remaining in C class whom they deem as “essential”. They now view the old faith which sustained the development and growth of the civilization which they are dismantling as that which gave rise to what they consider as “groundless and unsustainable sentiments resulting in a sense of entitlement in the masses with irascible demands and assertions for the truth, rights, freedoms and justice”, which in fact are quite beyond the pall and plans which those in the A class wish to bestow on them.
You see Henry, it used to be that these very notions such as “truth, “freedom”, “basic rights” and “justice” had some substance and crackle to them. Unlike our modern fiat money rained down upon us from those at the Apex, these notions had some real substance and currency among the common people and even for PhD’s in your class. Alas, they are all now relativistic concepts like mainstream ideas regarding honesty or right & wrong, and in fact all those ancient moral notions, except of course for the reigning new-normal morality of the Apex groupthink and all of their official narratives completely devoid of any truth which have taken on a rather absolute and totalitarian presence.

Well Henry, you have not been listening vary carefully to what your students along with Gretta have rhetorically been saying, “How dare you?”. How dare you question the wisdom and commands which come down from the Apex of the human order, from all of the highly illumined minds of the elite Authorities?
Don’t you see that all of your B class university luminaries of today are the products of the Age of Reason which they often also refer to as the Age of “Enlightenment” – the “intellectual and philosophical movement that dominated Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries”? What they have done since that time was to take Occam’s razor and cut away everything they could not not see, understand or explain in physical terms, and that which did not correspond mainly to sensual and material verification. Of course, as a result, everything became more materialistic. Out went the soul and even Aristotle’s real basis of the integrity of the human person, which was man’s ability to contemplate the divine. In their enthusiasm in wielding their razors since those darkling times, the rationalists thought they were shearing off the A class, but they only succeeding in shearing off that Authority above anyone to fill their places, and whom have been subject to no moral limits in attaining their powers.
In all of the pruning and trimming off of the sprigs of faith to that God sprouting with the students in our universities, it is simply amazing that the professors who wield their sharp razors of reason remain so completely blind to the symbolism even of the flat graduation hats worn by the processions of their young students entering into the ranks the B class to carry out the scripted commands and restrictions placed in their hands.
Surely, you must see by now that without the Judaeo-Christian religion, even reason in human affairs is not “sustainable”. Plato tried to sustain the objective reality and common standards, for the forms of truth, beauty, goodness and justice on the basis of the mystical light which he and his later disciple Plotinus had experienced, which they taught was the source of the illumination of those forms, giving them their actual substance. However, not even a faith based on the love of wisdom (philosophy) could sustain any real substance in those universals, which were the only instruments to act as a check and guide over and above the A class, and the basis for any real Rule of Law, the integrity of the individual person, and justice for everyone.
Facts and reasons are only guides which point to the ultimate truths and reality, which for us to experience and sustain in any way requires the exercise of faith, and exactly that faith which the A and B classes do not want us to have or to exercise, and that is why constantly deceive us, deny us full disclosure even in matters concerning our vital interests, and why they refuse to listen to reason, while they keep tying to channel our beliefs and faith away from the Authority of the Actual Almighty lest the masses rise up and illumine their crimes & errors, and destroy all of their plans – which are now more clearly than ever to cull most of us in C class completely away.

In fact, they are the only genuine truth in this world. It is one thing to not believe in Jesus Christ, that is your right, your God given freedom to choose. It is another when you attack Christianity with a passion, even when it has done nothing wrong to you, in fact, you have benefited from it even if you do not realize it. The world would have been a much worse place if not for Christianity, and as its presence has faded in the last few decades in the West, you can clearly see the results, plain as day…
It is ok though. Not everyone is supposed to be saved and live eternally in Heaven. Some people are meat, made only for this material world and will perish afterwards. You won’t be missed.
