A drunken thief was injured after falling on the sword of a statue of St. Michael the Archangel that he was trying to steal from a church in Monterrey, Mexico.
Local media reported that during the early hours of Jan. 14, Carlos Alonso, 32, allegedly went to the Christ the King Parish in downtown Monterrey to rob the church.
In the darkness, Alonso reportedly jumped over the fence in front of the church entrance, broke a glass door, and entered the church.
While trying to flee with a statue of St. Michael the Archangel, the alleged thief tripped and fell on the angel’s sword, seriously injuring his neck.
Some passersby saw the wounded man at the church doors and called for medical help.
Monterrey Civil Protection personnel arrived at the scene, cut the padlock on the main gate of the fence, and saved the would-be thief’s life.
After stabilizing the injured man, the rescuers took him to a clinic to be treated and to get more information about the damage that may have been caused.
It is expected that once he has recovered, the suspect will be turned over to the public prosecutor’s office, and the punishment he could face for the damage to the church will be determined.
The statue of St. Michael the Archangel was unharmed.

St. Michael is God’s warrior. He fights Satan so that spick had no chance. Maybe he should have gone for some peacenik’s statue instead? And he’d probably have got their blessing.
The photo accompanying the article is a little misleading. That cannot be the actual statue that the thief had hoped to purloin. He would have needed a crane just to get it out of the churchyard.
It’s too difficult to discern just how implausible the thief’s ambitions were, without knowing the dimensions of the statue, nor the material it was made from. I guess that it must be on the smaller size, an altar decorative, perhaps, and made of gold or silver.
The robbery and desecration of churches is picking up a pace. Last year, there were 71 reported incidents of theft and serious damage to Christian churches in Canada alone.
St. Michael thought that he heard the words, “the dragon” and nearly slew “the drunken” accidentally.

This bazaar event sounds very much like a portent or a warning from the legion of angles to Pope Francis, the communist Pope, inserted by the Masonic Vatican mafia after their removal of Benedict in 2013.
Benedict went against the secular-humanist, moral-relativist drift in his pontificate with respect to faith and morals, and he was also behind liturgical reform to restore the centrality of Christ and reverence to Him in the mass and in the sacraments. He was the polar opposite of Francis. He reintroduced the right of priests to incorporate Latin prayers and hymns in the mass and also he reintroduced the practice of saying the St. Michael prayer following the mass, which was the Catholic practice since Pope Leo XIII in the late 1800’s until Vatican II in the 1960’s. All of these things infuriated Francis and the modernist Masonic cardinals and especially the NWO left-wing types of the Jesuit order which Francis came from, all of whom have been very busy crafting a new wine skin for a heretical one-world religion.
Benedict in his pontificate was considered by Francis to be a throw-back to the pre-Vatican II reforms which in fact Benedict in the 1960’s and 1970’s championed as a theologian. When Benedict stepped down from the papacy in 2013 he did not leave the Vatican, nor Francis out of his sight. Nevertheless, Francis immediately started to undo Benedict’s reforms, and he did whatever he could to change the image of the Vatican from a conservative authority on moral issues to a very relativistic and liberal one – the same for all matters of faith and liturgy. With respect to papal authority, Francis being also a modern liberal, of course was not interested in the authority of facts and reason, just his own facts and reasons, and accordingly become the epitome of the authoritarian liberal. He became so politically-correct in shinning up the big NWO doorknob that the Rockefeller minions appointed him to preside over the opening of UN Agenda 2030 in NYC in 2015.
By the time Benedict died on December 31, 2022 Francis had forbade priests to incorporate Latin prayers or hymns in the mass, and he likely also working on ending the request of Benedict that priests say the St. Michael prayer at the end of each mass, which the stopped doing for some strange reason in my diocese last year.
The antipathy between these two men must have been very great. Earlier this month Francis presided over the funeral of Benedict. Great care was given to ensuring Benedict would be given no honors and that there would be no great gathering. Instead of a proper hearse his body was delivered to the door of the church in a white delivery van – surprising that it did not have the Amazon logo on its side. During the sermon Francis only mentioned Benedict’s name once and talked about other things from the gospel. In effect he did not even give the man an eulogy.
If any cleric would like to cast the very idea of God’s greatest warrior angel outside of our churches, in my respectful view, it would be Francis, and that is why the parallel with the drunk trying to steal a statute of the angel from a church in Mexico, and being stabbed by the sword of Michael as he stumbled, seems to apt to what is going on in the Vatican, and is perhaps a warning, to Francis himself.
The St. Michael’s prayer goes like this:
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil;
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander throughout the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.”
For liberals who temporize over virtually everything, it is not very “nice” to them to tell anyone to go back to hell, but nevertheless, in this day and age it relates to us that there is no middle ground to be found when dealing with the forces of evil, and it also relates as Benedict saw that we do need God and his angels to deal with that hideous evil which has possessed the earth.

Quite the good post.
