But today one needs a home IP address and when using a public computer you need to cough-up your personal details to get on-line. Even your mobile phone, especially your mobile phone requires your personal details for you to make a call and get on-line.

Internet Protocol is registered to the person creating the on-line traffic, so you’re easily identifiable.
So what’s the point of declaring your ID to get on-line?
Do they want us to use our real names?

If ever the internet gets taken down or the control is such that I refuse to access it I have downloaded many documentaries and podcasts whose untold thousands of hours will last me many years. With the books I haven’t read yet, and although the switch back to reading hard copy from reading digital won’t be easy, I have more than enough to last me the rest of my life even if I never watch TV again.
It’s the news I’ll miss not ways to occupy me, and it’s that truth which can be spread on the internet which endangers it.
Every time you log on your “digital ID” is required and your movements are tracked. If you have a cellphone then you are “online” by default. Xo what’s new here?

Being in a rural remote area where the internet goes down fairly often and is as slow as molasses anyway, if I lose internet, so be it.
