Oxfordshire County Council, which is run by Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party, wants to divide the city of Oxford into six ‘15 minute’ districts. In these districts, it is said, most household essentials will be accessible by a quarter-of-an-hour walk or bike ride, and so residents will have no need for a car.
On the surface, these 15-minute neigbourhoods might sound pleasant and convenient. But there is a coercive edge. The council plans to cut car use and traffic congestion by placing strict rules on car journeys.
Residents will have to register their cars with the council and they will be tracked to count their journeys through the key gateways. It’s the social credit scheme that starts with your car and works like anti-frequent-flyer points.
Under the new proposals, if any of Oxford’s 150,000 residents drives outside of their designated district more than 100 days a year, he or she could be fined £70.

I could write a very long comment, but I’ve covered most of this.
If these controls aren’t Nazified, then I don’t know what is. Think about it, let’s say Oxford is traffic zoned. You can still drive in your zone, so there’s no decrease in traffic, and each zone will generate more pollution when traffic leaves the center to drive to distant destinations.
The real purpose is based on the Nazis ‘papers please’, because the next logical step by OCC is to demand a fee for leaving the city, or entering the city. Its a kind of preemptive road pricing.
As I said the other day, Bristol CC has reduced traffic, but also footfall. So Bristol is going to suffer a big economic decline, especially in bars, restaurants and other entertainment venues. This is akin to a tree rotting from the inside out, and car sales, or should I say, car leasing has collapsed, so more diesels will be kept on the roads.
It now appears the editor or a member of his team, if he has one, now blocks comments one day after article was posted, and that contentious or protected contributors have their spurious works wisked away so they avoid further scrutiny.
In fact, I’d raise a question. Does the editor actually control his website? Why do certain contributors get protection. I note that one vile contributor got a very terse reply about his record, never mind what I said. If this contributor puts out such tosh, why does he get published, and why does he get special protections?
Maybe this site needs to change its name?

Should the council buildings be closed down for any unknown reason before they are allowed to introduce such ideas along with a vote of no confidence in those councillors who dream up such idiotic and I’ll thought out schemes then it is almost certain that these plans to discriminate against the cities tax payers would collapse.

IMHO..the sidebar will be such crucial factors such as access to food.
TPTB will likely have huge multinationals establish turf in each zone with no competition, and the end game is our food supply will be “bugs” etc. Maybe only clothes offered will be orange prison togs.

CO2 is a blessing, not a curse. However, there are actual toxic pollutants in our air, water and land which are bad for our health. Any reasonable attempts to reduce these toxins are okay by me.

If you want to know the absurdity of the climate lunatics, just this week an OpEd in the NYTimes says you should breed with short people to stop climate change. The writer (Mara Altman Jewess?) , some stupid woman, claims short people eat less food and live longer, so that will save the planet.
Duh, if you want to save the planet you would want people who die quicker. Short and tall people eat the same amount of food. If you want a metric, then you would want skinny people, who only eat plants, to save the planet.
In Amerika everyone is completely obese, so of course you would not want to write a book about the fat fucks in Amerika who gorge like swine (just go to McDonalds if you don’t believe me) . Most Amerikans are so damn fat they have trouble getting out of their car, so they had to invent the drive through window so these lazy fucks wouldn’t have to walk 10 feet to get their bag of burgers. Methane is measure in parts per billion, hardly a threat, and before cows there were buffalo, millions and millions of farting buffalo, during the ice age.. Obviously farting ungulates do not warm the planet. And most of the earth’s methane comes from swamp gas and termites.
