Fitts is often worth listening to. Her idea of states exercising constitutional power, I understand, was first tried out in 1861. Notwithstanding, local initiatives and politicking would seem to be one logical method of exacting leverage. As Mark Windows argues on his channel, the global to local power grab has to be fought locally.
I have tried networking locally with no success whatsoever. I believe this is probably not something peculiar to my area. The “adversary” is empowered careerwise by the flow of money. Our side lacks this and also has to contend with the usual big fish in a small pool problem relating to the human ego. The war is asymmetrical.
Those advocating “we do something” often have a side hustle in lieu of not being within the current of mainstream expenditure. I mean this as a minor criticism. Fitt’s Solari report, the last time I looked, was quite expensive – and can hardly become a source of revolutionary inspiration. I doubt if many could afford it.
