You’ve probably read about the DealBook Summit held in New York recently. Sponsored by the ((New York Times)) and directed by ((Andrew Ross Sorkin)) it was more like a Bar Mitzvah than an economic conference, featuring as it did such luminaries as Janet Yellen, Mark Zuckerberg, Vladimir Zelensky, Benjamin Netenyahu and Amazon CEO Andy Jassy. In fact the only goy of consequence was that back-stabbing Judas Mike Pence. However the star of show was Samuel Bankman-Fried who appeared to thunderous applause on video link from his lair in the Bahamas. This was shortly before he was arrested by the fine upstanding Bahamian law enforcement officers for robbery on a monumental scale.
He’s likely to be extradited to the USA where his fate will be decided by his good friend and enabler SEC Chairman ((Gary Gensler)) and judge ((Ronnie Abrams)) in no less a setting than the ((Southern District of New York)), otherwise known as The Wailing Wall. I personally believe that Gensler and Abrams will set all ethnic and religious considerations aside and deliver Justice in its purest form. I mean, just look at Gary here. His thirst for justice is palpable, the fire of righteousness, honed on the Iowa farm where he grew up, shines through his handsome countenance. And I’m confident that the fact Judge Ronnie attended Jeffrey Epstein’s alma mater and her husband was on Robert Mueller’s team ‘investigating’ Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election will have no bearing on her handling of the case.
But some cynics disagree with me. They think that Sam will walk, or else get Epsteined, ending up in a luxury seaside villa in Israel. After all, they’d argue, Israel has form when it comes to harbouring Jewish criminals fleeing justice. They think he could even be honoured formally like arch-criminals Robert Maxwell (Ghislaines’s daddy) and Jonathan Pollard who betrayed the country where he was born and reared by robbing its advanced military secrets and passing them on to ‘America’s Greatest Ally’. Which then sold them on to America’s Greatest Enemies.
What’s this got to do Jordan Peterson, the man famous for telling other men to clean up their rooms? Given that the audience represented the ‘cream’ of Israeli society I imagine it would have included many of the gangsters now roosting by the Med while their fleeced and impoverished victims impotently nurse their losses back home. It might even have included Jonathan Pollard given that his BFF Netenyahu played a prominent role at the event. And probably representatives of the hasbara schools and the thriving Israeli body-parts-for-sale industry. Peterson knew his audience and hit them hard: “You control our world. You’ve poisoned the air we breathe, contaminated the water we drink, and copyrighted the food we eat. We fight in your wars, die for your causes, and sacrifice our freedoms to protect you. You’ve liquidated our savings, destroyed our middle class, and used our tax dollars to bailout your unending greed. You’ve fomented wars in your own interests and get us to finance and fight them. You’ve stolen our military and technology secrets and sold them on to the highest bidders, often our enemies. We are slaves to your corporations, zombies to your airwaves, servants to your decadence. You’ve stolen our elections, assassinated our leaders, and abolished our basic rights as human beings. You own our property, shipped away our jobs, and shredded our unions. You’ve profited off of disaster, destabilized our currencies, and raised our cost of living. You’ve monopolised our freedom, debased our education, and have almost extinguished our flame.”
Naw, he didn’t say that. In fact these were Peterson’s concluding remarks: “As Jews in Israel, are you telling the greatest story ever told? Well, you decide that by how you live. And what you do will affect the world – for one reason or another, it’s not so easy to understand, everyone looks here to see, well, how are you actually doing, under this tremendous assault of adversarial criticism, as this little, tiny people in the middle of no man’s land in some real sense, as a -what would you say – cardinal model of the nation-state and the city on the hill. You have a tremendous moral responsibility, like you have, perhaps, for your entire history, for reasons that are very difficult to understand, and I think it is true, in some real sense, that the fate of the world depends on the decisions of the people of Israel. Just as the fate of the world depends on the decision of every individual, so you make yourself a shining light on the hill, right? You attract people here because of what you’re capable of doing. You show the world what the holy city could look like. Because we need it. We need it, and it’s up to you to do it. Thank you very much.”
Yes, JP believes that our moral salvation will come by way of Jews in general and Israelis in particular. His delivery of these remarks was nothing less than stomach-churning as he dissolved into a weeping quivering mess on reaching the end. Jordan, Jordan – all the shekels in the world couldn’t compensate for such a display of self-abasement.
What if anything does he really stand for? I can in all honesty claim I could never ‘get’ him. He always struck me as a stupid person’s idea of a clever person. Asked on one occasion “do you believe in God?” he responded with “I could talk for forty hours on what each word of that question means”. Which surely begged the follow-up “maybe you could but would you just answer the question?”. He is also tendentious and inconsistent on the issue of race. He declares any argument based on racial differences to be “so muddleheaded that you hardly know where to start” but confines his criticism to Whites who apparently have no right to take pride in European cities just because you “happen to have the same skin color as some of the people” who built them. Strangely enough he has an entirely different attitude towards Native Americans who he encouraged to celebrate their unique culture and heritage. And he has no problem with assigning disproportionate Jewish wealth and power to their high IQ while simultaneously professing outrage when differentials between Whites and blacks are attributed to the same cause.
In fact it’s reasonable to see him as a gatekeeper put in place to gaslight Whites – White males in particular – away from focusing on their real problems. After all he’s been branded a far-right male chauvinistic conspiracy theorist so he must be on our side, right? Whether he set out with this gaslighting role in mind I don’t know but his rise has been suspiciously meteoric. Was it worth it?For me nothing is worth the ritual humiliation he endured in Israel.

People read into remarks what they want to see. To me it seems Peterson was reminding Israelis and Jews generally that they have a big moral responsibility to live up to, and was subtly suggesting they may not be doing so.
His comment “…are you telling the greatest story ever told? Well, you decide that by how you live…” is consistent with his discussions of personal responsibility in other venues. This is not how you congratulate people on being paragons of virtue.
Peterson says “…You attract people here because of what you’re capable of doing. You show the world what the holy city could look like… We need it, and it’s up to you to do it…” This is not a “congratulations on your great work,” but rather an emphasis on what _could be_, more like “put up or shut up.”
The author quotes Peterson as saying “[[for one reason or another, it’s not so easy to understand,]] everyone looks here to see, well, how are you actually doing, under this tremendous assault of adversarial criticism, as this little, tiny people in the middle of no man’s land in some real sense, as a -what would you say – cardinal model of the nation-state and the city on the hill.” Why DOES the world care about this tiny speck of a country? The article’s author seems to miss the nuanced critique of Jewish self-aggrandizement hidden in this gem.
The quote “You have a tremendous moral responsibility, like you have, perhaps, for your entire history, [[for reasons that are very difficult to understand,]] and I think it is true, in some real sense, that the fate of the world depends on the decisions of the people of Israel…” is far from congratulating Israelis for doing a good job. It reiterates the question of why so many people pay so much attention to this tiny group of people, and concludes with an observation consistent with the author’s own critique of Jewish power in this article’s opening remarks.
The author criticizes Peterson for not directly answering the question “do you believe in God.” Peterson very reasonably points out that the question is a loaded one. It may mean for example, “do you agree with my interpretation of the word God?” Given that many people who profess a belief in God in fact worship idols– fame, money, religious rule systems, or even their own fantasy representation of God– it is not obvious what kind of response the question deserves. The author’s reaction to Peterson’s answer says far more about the author than about Peterson.
Getting back to Peterson’s talk in Israel, it is worth considering how one could usefully criticize a group of people who fit the description in my previous paragraph, and who are, in my own experience, highly narcissistic and unwilling to accept criticism of any kind. Read Israel Shahak’s book on Jewish History to get a sense of the depth of intolerance built into Jewish culture. Read the Bible to understand how prophets have fared when they criticized Judaism.
It seems obvious that if one wants one’s remarks to sneak past this mindset, one can only speak of unrealized Jewish potential, and invite Jews to work toward that potential. Peterson seems to have done a masterful job under difficult circumstances.

I think there is generally more credence to the Savant’s rant than to Neil’s more psychological and careful analysis in which he paints Peterson as a prophetic diplomat. If you believe the seed of Cain is Satan, and Satan is the father of Cain, and Cain is the father of the Satanic Jewish line, I am not going to disagree with you, you could be correct.
However, I’m pleased to learn that if you believe that particular theory it also means that you believe in the Bible though you entertain an interesting twist in your understanding it being an important departure from the orthodox understanding.

Fred B provides an insightful comment but confirms my observation that one reads into material what one wants. Peterson must have known how his Jewish audience would perceive his remarks. A critique is there, appearing perhaps superficially as praise, for those “with ears to hear and with eyes to see” as the Bible might say. When I bracketed the phrase “for one reason or another, it’s not so easy to understand” I meant to suggest Peterson was commenting indirectly on Jewish self-adoration.
I stand by my claim that Peterson was pointing out that any moral claims that Jews have made for themselves obligates them to a certain standard of behavior. He raised the question of whether they are meeting that standard and suggested there is room for improvement.

Nothing Peterson might have said would influence people who have fully embraced materialism and abandoned a true relationship with God. His remarks could only ever reach those still open to self-observation and willing to hear the truth.

To clarify, my reference to Jews and Israelis having a big moral responsibility was in reference to Peterson’s observation that “for one reason or another” the world seems to imagine that Jews and Israelis have a high moral standard to live up to. The idea really exists only in the Jews’ own religious writing about themselves. Their claim to moral high ground is a form of self-adulation.
In “Jewish History, Jewish Religion: The Weight of Three Thousand Years,” Israel Shahak explains how this supposedly high moral ground is actually interpreted by many Jews and Israelis. It applies only to their behavior with respect to other Jews, and they fall down even there. An entirely different morality is religiously sanctioned when dealing with the goyim.
White Elephant mistakes the meaning of the word “have” in “have a moral responsibility” as possession rather than duty. Peterson, Goy Bouy, and I do not suggest that Jews or Israelis actually display moral responsibility. The phrase refers to the notion that “chosen people” have a duty to demonstrate their moral responsibility to the world. Unfortunately, as the Bible itself points out– from the Golden calf of Moses, through the murder of various prophets, culminating in the death of Jesus– it has been hard for many Jews to put moral responsibility into practice.
Moral behavior requires choice, and Jews have been denied meaningful choice for much of Jewish history. As explained in Shahak’s book, until about 1850 most Jews everywhere lived in totalitarian theocracies embedded within larger non-Jewish societies. These theocracies imposed and enforced rigid rules on the masses of Jews, and prohibited them from thinking for themselves. It seems unrealistic to expect much self-reflection or self-control from such people.
Unfortunately these same people with limited historical capacity for self-reflection or self-control have mastered techniques of acquiring power while concealing it. While doing so, they have repeatedly endangered non-Jews living with them because their religious leaders have given them free reign to manipulate non-Jews.
For example, the Nation of Islam, in their book series titled “The Secret Relationship of Blacks and Jews.” points out uncomfortable facts about Jewish profiteering from the slave trade. If you search for the title at online booksellers, you get only a list of books by Jews that supposedly rebut those claims. This is clear evidence of Jewish power. One cannot publicly question any aspect of the Holocaust in many European countries without going to jail. No other historical topics that I know of are banned from discussion in Europe. These laws are obvious evidence of Jewish power and its potential to harm non-Jews. And of course Kanye West is living proof of how Jewish power is used to harm critics. We owe him a great debt for making it obvious at great personal cost.
The common Jewish charge of “anti-semitism” is self-serving and a purely Jewish interpretation of any situation. As noted earlier, Jewish history has made it difficult for Jews to criticize their own behavior, especially regarding non-Jews. From the non-Jewish perspective, “anti-semitism” might be seen as an attempt to protect oneself or one’s community from Jewish excess. Protective reactions, aka “anti-semitism,” may in fact be the only available response to such excess.
Hopefully more people of influence will realize the truth behind the charge of “anti-semitism” and begin speaking out about Jewish power.

I accept that your interpretation of Peterson’s critical subtext is plausible enough but that doesn’t make his talk any the more commendable. What was he even doing in Israel?
For an avowed champion of Native Canadian rights, Peterson seems contrarily unmoved by the ethnic cleansing of Native Palestinians.
The content of Peterson’s presentation would have been vetted beforehand by Mossad, anyway. Jordan Peterson would have consented to such a superintendence when he negotiated his fee. This is a man who claims to love Dostoevsky and Solzhenitsyn. He cannot therefore be unaware of the jewish question throughout history nor the importance of the same to contemporary world affairs.
What Peterson brings, amounts to strategems for quietism; evasion of uncomfortable truths about jews; guarded ways of saying very little of substance. He is a poor role-model; a psychologically fragile, intellectually stretched, emotionally overwrought, money grubber.
I find contention in your Kevin MacDonald-esque apologism for jewish ill-behaviour also. In 1850 and for centuries beforee that, all Europeans were bound by theological edicts. Jews often had special dispensation, under law, to practise money lending at usurious rates of interest, a practice forbidden to Christians. This gave them a great advantage over gentile populations.
You could easily argue, anyway, that jews were “denied choice” principally by their own theocracy and the strict injunctions of its clerics.
Jews were late-comers into Europe. Their isolationism was a predisposition, a long-enduring preference. The distresses visited upon European peoples by jewish malefactions disposed the people toward revulsion of the jews and of their evils.
The history of the jews tells of a people who consistently made the wrong moral choices. They are oppositionalist, supremacist, subversive, avaricious beyond all measure and indulge perversities wantonly – by choice. They are the harbingers of blight and death.

You ought to know, Neil, given your appreciation of the fictionalized holocaust, that jewish claims of persecution, preceding the 20th century, in Polish and Russian slaughters, in particular, have been likewise magnified to ahistorical proportions, where the accounts of pogroms haven’t been gratuitously invented.
Pathological deceits are not a survival strategy if you are thriving. Jews thrive. Jewish ponerology begins with scripture. It was and is a religious ideology that drives jewish contempts. Intervals of disfavour and exile from European states didn’t compel jews to engage in the ritual murder of stolen infants. Nor did their discomforts spur them to the wilful ruination of countless European peasants, with the seizure of their lands by forfeiture of interest repayments.
