  4.  » Now is the time to cancel the Cancel Culture Mob

Ian Fantom – Dec 7, 2022

The UK, or at least England, is ruled by mob rule, but seeing is believing, and it’s difficult for those who haven’t experienced it to believe what is actually going on. Here is the latest.

Many groups and individuals have now experience the worst of the Cancel Culture Mob, that in different forms has deplatformed all sorts of people who might be critical of the Establishment in the UK. The arts are not exempt. The Jazz musician Gilad Atzmon was once cancelled at the Royal Northern College of Music, not because of what he was about to say, but because of who he was, in the eyes of the Cancel Culture Mob.

The latest victim of the Cancel Culture Mob in London is an concert of satirical songs, which was to be presented tonight (Thursday, 8 December) at a Keep Talking meeting at the Tea House Theatre in London. The importance of relaxing with the arts – in this case music – was going to be emphasised, as a means of keeping sane in an insane environment. But also, when we do mentally switch off, that is when sometimes the penny drops, and we start joining some more dots. December is usually a good month for this, as people review the year in their minds, linking together more distant brain cells.

Apparently, I have been giving a series of secret ‘Keep Talking’ Holocaust-denial talks, so secret that even I knew nothing of them. Another piece of Antifa enlightenment was that singing some satirical songs I had just written, followed by some other songs about deception and lying, would be a “nazi-singalong”.  Mine were mainly inspired by Clare Short’s book ‘An Honorable Deception’. Actually, I often had wet eyes in reading that book, because what she was describing was so close to what I had just experienced in being cancelled in the Management Committee of the Esperanto association. At all levels it’s the same story. I had essentially put into song what Clare Short had put into a book. I wonder whether she knows she’s a Nazi for describing life in Tony Blair’s cabinet! My songs were written for a wider purpose, because they would apply quite generally to groups subjected to infiltration and subversion from within.

The Tea House Theatre put out a press release saying:

Due to threats of violence levelled against staff and customers of The Tea House Theatre, the think tank ‘Keep Talking’ has made the decision to cancel their event on Thursday 8th December.

This event will no longer be taking place at The Tea House Theatre.

Please note, any threats of harm against the Tea House Theatre or its staff will be forwarded to the police.

Harry and the TH team.

I can add that I have been told that Antifa are not popular in that part of London, and that Harry has a good relationship with the local police.

The London Anti-Fascist Assembly put out the following tweet:

PUBLIC CALLOUT TO FIGHT HOLOCAUST DENIAL

The Teahouse Theatre in Vauxhall plans to hold an event promoting holocaust denial. The world has heard enough from nazis.

Join us to oppose the event at 6pm at the Teahouse Theatre in Vauxhall!

London is antifascist!

Not only does that look like an incitement to violence, but it states an explicit lie; we were not planning to hold an event promoting holocaust denial, and we never have done.

Their tweets continue with: “Some people may remember the Vauxhall Tea House Theatre as being the venue that, a few years ago, hosted a reading group for the book ‘Doctrine of Fascism’ by Benito Mussolini and Giovanni Gentile. (What a name for an antisemite!) Some of us hoped they’d learned their lesson after local residents heard about that one and disrupted the event. Sadly it seems they didn’t.”

We’re not fascists, but I can appreciate that it could be useful for some to understand what the Fascism doctrine was, especially for those who have been accused of such a thing. Perhaps members of Antifa should have attended, in order to find out about their pet subject! George Orwell pointed out in his days that those crying out ‘Fascists!’ don’t seem to know what Fascism is. But we had nothing to do with that, anyway.

They continued with “Up until yesterday, the Vauxhall Tea House Theatre had announced that it would be hosting the anti-semite Alison Chabloz and conspiracy theorist Ian Fantom for a ‘Year-End Review’, after local residents heard about that one and disrupted the event, including a nazi-singalong.” Oh yeah?! What do they know about the songs we were going to perform? There was nothing Nazi about them whatsoever, other than parodying such Nazis as Tony Blair with some songs, and various unnamed infiltrators over the years with my song ‘Keep Smiling’. Again, they are lying. Anything contentious that had got Alison into trouble with the Cancel Culture Mob before, leading to her egregious conviction, had been avoided in her presentations. There should have been nothing wrong whatsoever with singing those songs. We had not made our list of songs public, and still have not done so. So again, Antifa seem to know our thoughts before we do.

They continued: “The event is still planned for this Thursday (8th December), but after the exposure of Chabloz being prosecuted for antisemitic hate speech, the venue has begun to backtrack on its plans. But we’re not sure why they are still planning to go ahead and what exactly they could be reviewing.”

I should have thought it would be obvious even to that mob that there would be a lot to review in current affairs of 2022. It’s been a horrific year for some of those vaccinated with mRNA concoctions, and it has taken such horrors to awaken large numbers of people about the coming ‘fascism’ throughout the Western world. On the other hand, there is now widespread questioning about what the politicians have been doing to us, with constant talk on the GBNews and Talk TV televison channels, a call in the European Parliament for the president of the European Commission to resign because of corruption, and something similar but much milder, and more muted, in the Westminster Parliament. This follows an admission from Pfizer that their booster ‘vaccines’ had not been tested. Is reporting on that fascism?! That is the sort of message the Cancel Culture Mob are suppressing. It’s not about antisemitism at all. It is completely contrived, just as it was in the Labour Pary’s campaign against their then leader, Jeremy Corbyn, as covered by the Al Jazeera recent documentary series ‘The Labour Files’.

They continue: “Perhaps it’s Fantom’s series of secret ‘Keep Talking’ Holocaust-denial talks being disrupted and shut down?” What?! This is outrageous. I have never given such talks, and we have made it known over the years that we do not do the holocaust, because of the Cancel Culture Mob’s likely intimidation. The fact that it is a taboo topic I should have thought would have told everyone all they need to know. There are other forums for tackling that issue. Telling people that there could be vicous interventions if the topic were even to be mentioned tells everyone that in this area there is no such thing as free speech, and that anyone tackling this issue should first barricade themselves in with robust defences. That’s all. And nor have I ever given any secret talks.

Then they go into some sort of delirium with: “Their side already had their say. They had their say in 1937 in Nuremberg, and again a few years later in Nuremberg during the postwar trials. The world has heard enough from Nazis. You know it, we know it, and we’re disappointed that the Vauxhall Tea House Theatre appears not to know it. The people of South London are going to remind them, and anyone who wants to stand with us is welcome.” No, it’s not the people of South London, who are fed up with these Antifa people. They follow this up with some graphics showing people how to ‘mask up’. They call it ‘Grey Bloc’. This looks remarkably like the ‘Black Bloc’, which were in evidence a few years ago in mob action to close a meeting down at Diorama in Drummond Street, Camden. What can be the purpose of this other than intimidation by a bunch of cowards?

In response to all this was a tweet from Andrew Kimber saying, “Sounds like with your incitement to violence, you are the fascists.” I think he is right. There’s a saying in the USA, attributed to various people, in various words, which essentially says that if fascism comes to America, it will come under the guise of antifascism. I’m sure that’s true in the UK, too.

They didn’t answer that one, but followed it up with: “Chabloz got cancelled from this event but they are still platforming the antisemitic bloke. They need shutting down as a whole venue as cannot be trusted with their past & present speakers. I will address their reviews on Facebook etc by dropping their details into antisem group”.

And there’s more: “The event is still planned for this Thursday (8th December), but after the exposure of Chabloz being prosecuted for antisemitic hate speech, the venue has begun to backtrack on its plans. But we’re not sure why they are still planning to go ahead”. As I explained, and intended to do in more detail at the meeting, Alison had been prosecuted for singing what others had produced in speech. This contrasts with the Walter Wolfgang case at the 2005 Labour Party conference; he was immediately grabbed and arrested for calling out ‘Nonsense’. Later, a barbershop choir demonstrated exactly the same action, except that they sang it. What irony! It was this sort of legal irony that made Gilbert and Sulliven famous. I wrote a song on that over the weekend, and already I’ve got cancelled!

They continue with: “They have fully cancelled now. At first they only cancelled Chabloz and said the other antisemite man would STILL go ahead!! Please continue your protest though by all means. USA BLM style protest needed.” What ‘antisemite man’?! I have no history that could in any way justify that allegation. The only thing the Hope not Hate ‘exposé’ had on me was that I had associated with both ‘far-left’ and ‘far-right’ at the same time. They use their own definitions of those terms, of course. I am proud of the fact that I am able to associate with people who have very different political, professional and cultural backgrounds to myself. That is what attracted me to the Esperanto movement whilst still at school. Shame on them.

In fact, if Hope not Hate had taken out all the invective spewed out on us, that ‘exposé’ would have been quite a positive report. The British propaganda, just like hypocrisy, is the best in the world, and that is how it is done.

The main thing that matters in this is in getting that message out. Whether that is in speech, writing or song isn’t the important point. In blocking us in such a vile way, Antifa are giving us a different means of getting that out to people. The concept of the ‘Cancel Culture Mob’ strikes a chord now with many people, especially ones who have experienced such events themselves. We need all to come together in restoring British values of democracy to our country, and overcoming their attempts to set us against each other by various nefarious means.

As things stand, the Cancel Culture Mob are now seeking to deplatform Alison merely for what they say she is, rather than what she does. That is anathema to traditional British values. It looks as if they are set to destroy Alison Chabloz’s professional life, thus depriving her of her livelihood, as they did with Gilad Atzmon. I thought that in organising that joint event we could help set Alison on track to make a professional come-back, rather than being shunned by the ignorant. My own professional work ended early because of such an onslaught. My last professional contract work was with Esperanto Association of Britain, which I eventually walked out of because of obstructionism from within. I suggested to an old friend and colleague that he take over as President, in order to enable positive people to go ahead. He accepted, and then turned nasty on me. I eventually went into their committee to find out what was going on. The outcome was an onslaught at the following Annual General Meeting on the grounds that I had apparently been “critical of the committee”. That guy, a professor, had been a personal referee for my job applications for years. I traced his subversive activities back for years, too. No wonder I was having difficulty getting interviews when I would have expected to be on employers’ short lists. I’ve been through it, and I know what it’s like. And so have many others by now.

I received a thought-provoking text by Edward Spalton, who is now Honorary President of the Campaign for an Independent Britain, though he was writing in a personal capacity. Written on 7 April, 2021, the text runs:

 Fascist is as Fascist does

The ideas are with us yet and not where most people think.

Where they came from.

There were many different sorts of fascism, which came to power after the First World War:- Italian fascists recruited Jews as members until their alliance with Hitler. The Nazis were genocidal anti-Semites and hated Christianity whilst the Italian fascists made peace with the Church (whilst still despising it). Romanian fascists called themselves the Legion of the Archangel Michael. Spanish and Portuguese fascists protected Jews and enjoyed the support of the Catholic Church.

Whilst some fascists believed in “state capitalism”, they conscripted the owners of businesses and estates into the structure of their state, rather than exterminating them as the Communists did. Both creeds were revolutionary, of the Left and not at all conservative. The fascist state was all-embracing – that is totalitarian. Mussolini invented the term, describing a society where “Everything is within the state and nothing outside the state”.

Fascists despised democracy and the old order; they believed that modernism and technocracy, enforced through an all-powerful state, would create a new society and opportunities for a new type of people who would find fulfilment within it, free from the constraints of the old class system. In the Twenties fascism was often seen as progressive. Winston Churchill made distinctly favourable remarks about Mussolini’s economic achievements. Mussolini’s doctrine of Italianness (Italianita) was cultural not racist. In 1934 he despised the racism of the Nazis – “regarding with supreme pity certain doctrines supported beyond the Alps”. The Nazis retorted by calling the Italian version “Kosher Fascism”.

Whilst he initially loathed and feared the Communists most, Churchill came to see Nazi Germany as the greater danger.( “The Creeds of the Devil – Churchill between the two Totalitarianisms”- Antoine Capet) In a speech at Oxford in 1932 before the horrors of Hitler were known, the author H.G.Wells advised the Young Liberals that progressive people should become “Liberal Fascists” and “ enlightened Nazis”. As the Nazis drastically reduced unemployment, Lloyd George even expressed the hope that we too might have a leader like Hitler!

Many forms of state control had been put into practice earlier by the American President, Woodrow Wilson (Democrat), gearing up for the First World War in a programme known as “War Socialism”. In terms of the number of people locked up for expressing contrary opinions, it was proportionately a more repressive regime than Mussolini’s.

This is a wake-up call. Please help get this message out to other groups and individuals who may at some point have been cancelled, because only by taking action simultaneously can we as a network cancel the Cancel Culture Mob. If we can do that, then we can restore small-scale democracy in this country. That is the key to reestablishing some resemblance of a democratic system in our Parliament and in our government.
