More than 40% of U.S. small business owners say they couldn’t pay rent on time or in full for the month of November, the highest this year.
The small business network group Alignable released the survey, which found that the hardship varies by industry. A notable 57% of beauty salons said they couldn’t make rent as well as 45% of gyms, 44% of retail and 44% of restaurants.
“Making matters worse, this occurred during a quarter when more money should be coming in and rent delinquency rates should be decreasing,” Alignable said. “But so far this quarter, the opposite has been true.”

As rents and prices go up with inflation, incomes generally do not, and wage earners can afford to buy less and less. There is a huge squeeze on the small retailers and service industries for the common people. If they put their prices and rates up along with inflation, then less people can afford their goods and services. Yet if they don’t put them up then they can’t afford to buy the goods and pay the overhead required to run their business. Hence, more and more business are going bankrupt.
Of course, we the people do not have a right to know why our governments all of a sudden are interfering with farming and a host of supply lines and industries. They are obviously and deliberately “slowing” our economies, and based on what the WEF says the reason is allegedly to “slow our systems down to give the planet a rest”, or if you listen to the economists online, they are not very good at “source” issues and they seem to be saying that it is the debt bubble with not enough credit and they are afraid of a liquidity freeze. One Sunday evening I responded to an advertisement for Musk’s ‘Quantim AI’ crypto currency. I was requested to submit my email and phone number. Approximately 1/2 an hour later at 10:30 pm I received a phone call from ‘Quantum AI’. That was my first clue that something was amiss. The male caller had an accent that I couldn’t identify but it was not ‘Canadian’ or ‘Euro’. After listening to a barrage of questions and assertions I eventually asked him if he had a pen and a notepad handy. He confirmed with a ‘yes’ and then I told him, ‘good, as you should now take notes.’ I told him, ‘you’re far too aggressive, but you already know this. This is NO way to conduct business as you should have emailed me and introduced yourself so we can subsequently set up a time to talk. You haven’t even considered what time zone I’m residing in and 10:30 pm on a Sunday evening reeks of desperation. You laughed at me when I expressed an interest in testing the premise of Quantum AI’s rather grandiose assertion that I’ll be doubling, tripling, or quadrupling a ‘meager’ initial investment of two-thousand dollars, an amount which is not specified in the slick video advertisement. Your transparent and you’re a sham. Good night.’
