NATO and Ukraine found themselves at odds at an urgent meeting on Wednesday, it has been revealed, as Volodymyr Zelensky said he had “no doubt” a missile that killed two people after landing in Poland near the Ukrainian border was not of Ukrainian origin. NATO, Warsaw and the US all said they believed the missile was “likely” fired by Ukraine in order to defend themselves against Russian missiles, with the alliance’s secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg making clear that it was “not Ukraine’s fault”, as the firing of the missile was “the direct result” of Putin’s invasion of the country.
But Mr Zelensky would not budge on the issue, insisting that a report he received from the incident left him certain that it was “not our missile or our missile strike”.
His statements have reportedly irked at least one Kyiv-based diplomat from a NATO country, who told the Financial Times: “This is getting ridiculous. The Ukrainians are destroying [our] confidence in them. Nobody is blaming Ukraine and they are openly lying. This is more destructive than the missile.”
NATO countries were called to an emergency meeting last night after a missile landed in the Polish village of Przewodów, near the Ukrainian border, during a mass air strike by Russia in which they unleashed over 100 missiles into Ukrainian cities, targeting civilian infrastructure.
The Kremlin denied responsibility for the missile, claiming that not only was the missile that struck Poland not theirs, their weapons had not targeted anywhere near the Polish border – despite multiple recorded instances of Russian rockets hitting Lviv, a Ukrainian city about 62 miles south of the village of Przewodów and only 50 miles from the Ukrainian border.
NATO, the US and Warsaw all declared that while initial reports suggested the missile was fired from Russia, they now believed the missile’s origin was likely from Ukraine as a defensive measure against the Russian air strikes.
Mr Stoltenberg said: “Our preliminary analysis suggests that the incident was likely caused by Ukrainian air defence missile fired to defend Ukrainian territory against Russian cruise missile attacks.”

For NATO members to now to openly accuse Zelensky of lying and to confirm that the missile was Ukrainian in origin, tells you that they are really worried.
They thought that kissing thr American arse would be without risks, but it’s finally sinking in that they are facing at best domestic disaster, or at worst, all-out war with Russia and probable nuclear annihilation.

The Poles said at the outset of this showdown that they do not think the missile that hit Poland is the work of the Russians. They were second only to Biden to make this remark. And their investigations have since confirmed that it was not.

Not only ‘they’ but all of us were worried. Had the US chosen to side with Zelensky in this lie, NATO would have too. And all NATO countries would have had to fly to Poland’s aid. WWIII would therefore have erupted.
They’re not telling us the full story counting on most people being layman on the subject, which I am. But how is it possible that Ukrainian air defenses fired a rocket to the west when all Russian rockets were coming in from the east?

I’m sure the Ukrainians aren’t completely stupid, they might have even done this on purpose with a view to blaming Russia, now the dirty bomb plot has fallen flat. They must realise they will lose this war without a stronger commitment or military power from the west. So it makes sense they would at least try and blame Russia, or at worst have deliberately caused this situation to blame Russia in order to secure the escalation they need in order to have more a snowballs chance in hell of winning
My theory is that Zelenski was caught on the hop: He did the bidding, probably of the UK (via BoJo?) when he conceived and executed the ‘Russia did it’ lie. Of course, he was expecting the usual support of the West, i.e., no questions asked, no evidence to be examined that Russia might tender; instead, also as usual, his lie is treated as the Holy Writ. But, but, but: The slow-witted Joe Biden, quick as a flash, came up with his ‘it is unlikely’ that Russia fired the missile! That cannot but have taken Zelenski aback, pretty sharply. Then Poland joined, and NATO joined. Even some organs of the lamestream media, e.g., the UK’s Telegraph, took to blowing the whistle on Zelenski’s lie.
So why did the above happen? I hazard this guess: The US and Russia had covertly agreed on a way to stop the war: Discrediting Zelenski was necessary to justify the stoppage of the billions already sent to Ukraine as aid… It was necessary because and alarming number of the US public was insisting that it be stopped. The improbably straying bomb that hit Poland clinched the plan.
Zelenski is finished, and his mafiosi with him. The road is open to peace talks now. Or Russia will be allowed to give Warsaw the ultimatum that serves as the peace plan. Simple as that.
Sophie Johnson: don’t be a plonker. My Polish discription is acuurate, and often used by many pundits to describe the Polish position on Russia. There are, or were, 30,000 Polish military who are in Nazi uniforms after taking their oath. As many as 10,000 have been killed by the Russians… oh such joy.
The Poles probably knew the missiles were coming, & where they were launched. The Poles know full well that both Amerika and Russia track all launches of this kind.
Russia doesn’t use this old S300 type. It is a very old weapon, although the UKrainians have probably modified them.
Just because the Poles made the right call, does not mean they aren’t a bunch of panzy Nazi lovers. This said for any Polish nerds monitoring this site. lol

But seriously: The Zelenski lot thought that they would get the full support of NATO and the UK/US, and, as usual, Russian evidence would not even be looked at. They got that terribly wrong. Now they are getting a decent pounding that will take away their taste for harassing the new Russian Eastern oblasts, Donetsk, etc.
