And like with banks, where you don’t have to be in one but you’ll never access your pay otherwise, you won’t have to join his social website, either; but until you’re on a credit scorecard you’ll never be able to access anything at all. And with it being voluntary … kinda … he can and will charge us the shirt on our backs for it.
Not only could he charge us all a bomb to use his platform if by default it becomes compulsory, but he will sell the useful information it gathers to credit companies, but also to advertisers. It would also make him someone who, for a price, can make some information disappear. That’s not just enriching, that’s mob boss.
