The giveaway that the liberal-left leaning Guardian is acting as a mouthpiece for U.S. propaganda lies in the headlines’ “killing civilians”.
The U.S. has a long history of using drones to strike civilians. Like the time in 2008 when it used drones to repeatedly bomb a wedding party in Haska Meyna District of the eastern province of Nangarhar, Afghanistan.
The U.S. later admitted that the strike that killed 47 civilians was a mistake but at the time the Western MSM didn’t emphasize that the U.S. was targeting civilians. Although a wedding party should have been pretty obviously a civilian gathering.
In contrast, Moscow’s strikes appeared to be aimed at civil infrastructure. That’s not to defend Russia but despite the headline, civilians were not the primary objective. Ed.
Iran provides ‘technical support’ for Russian drones killing civilians, says US

Iran has significantly deepened its involvement in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine by providing technical support for Russian pilots flying Iranian-made drones to bomb civilian targets, the White House has confirmed.
The national security council lead spokesperson, John Kirby, said on Thursday that it was the US’s understanding that the Iranian advisers were in Crimea to provide training and maintenance – but not to actually pilot the drones – after Russian forces experienced difficulties in operating the unmanned flying bombs.
“The information we have is that the Iranians have put trainers and tech support in Crimea, but it’s the Russians who are doing the piloting,” Kirby said. “Tehran is now directly engaged on the ground and through the provision of weapons … that are killing civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure. These are systems that the Russian armed forces are not familiar using and these are organically manufactured Iranian UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles]. The Russians just don’t have anything in their inventory.”
“There were operator and system failures early on. Either they weren’t being piloted appropriately and properly and were failing to reach targets or the systems themselves were suffering failures and not performing to the standards that apparently the customers expected,” Kirby added. “So the Iranians decided to move in some trainers and some technical support to help the Russians use them with better lethality.”
Both the UK and the EU have announced sanctions on Iran for its provision of Shahed-136 drones, a delta wing unmanned aircraft designed to fly into a target and explode on impact, which Russian forces have used extensively against Ukrainian cities.
Moscow has denied its use of the Iranian drones, but Tehran officials have confirmed it and said they will also supply ballistic missiles to help replenished Russia’s dwindling armoury.
The Iranian drones have played an important role in Vladimir Putin’s effort to freeze Ukrainians into submission by targeting power plants and other energy infrastructure. Kyiv has introduced an emergency schedule of power cuts to help stabilise the country’s energy supply, which has been badly damaged by more than 300 Russian drone and missile attacks over the past 10 days as the weather turns cooler.
The country’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said people needed to be “especially conscious of electricity consumption” from 7am and avoid using unnecessary appliances as he warned of local “stabilisation blackouts”.
Three energy facilities were destroyed by Russia on Wednesday, the president said, with a further strike reported in the region of the southern city of Kryvyi Rih overnight amid growing official alarm over the impact of the Russian campaign.
In video remarks to an EU summit on Thursday, Zelenskiy said Russia hoped to provoke a new wave of migration to European countries. “Russian terror against our energy facilities is aimed at creating as many problems with electricity and heat as possible for Ukraine this autumn and winter, so that more Ukrainians go to European countries,” he said.
“No one imagined that the Biden administration and the bipartisan war party would drive Americans and Europeans into a political, military, and economic valley of death, from which there is no easy escape.”

The Guardian, often thought of as a wet rag operation, is really a global media player. Most of their subscribers are Amerikans.
Think for a moment about The Guardian, and other fake news outlets who’ve been hating on Russia and gaslighting the Russian sheeple for over 20yrs, and since 2014 has backed the NATO arming and training of the Nazi UKraine state to destroy the Dombas and Crimea, which Putin stopped.
The really hilarious point that no one appears to be making, and one which I noticed, assuming these drones are Iranian in origin, is the fact that these drones are going down in history, as a major factor in Russias win over NATO.
Of course, history will never portray these drones with the splendour of the Spitfire, but they could be equally significant.
All the times Iran announced a new home developed and manufactured weapon with operational claims poo pooed by the NWO states as rubbish, can now sulk off and eat their vacuous words.

What is so special about the Shahed 136?
– Firstly and most importantly:
This drone is an “asymmetric warfare” weapon! This means it has been designed by thinking outside the box. The same “box” that push countries to waste resources making obsolete Aircraft-Carriers even in 2022! Weapons manufactures would love to have how-to-fight protocols so they could sell their expensive and unreliable weapons to both sides of a conflict! Asymmetric weapons made by Iran/resistance-axis make a mockery of those expensive unreliable weapons that don’t bring real sustainable protection and security.
– Secondly it is designed to be adopted by many countries and groups:
To achieve this, other than effectiveness, it has to be cheap, reliable in every way, easy to maintain and produce in industrial scale, and with reasonable learning curve! Yemen the poorest Arab country is using the same Shahed 136 drones just as Russia world’s 10th GDP that has the largest nuclear arsenal! Recently, Zionists sold drones to government of Morocco, Iran then sold Shahed 136 drones to Polisario Front rebels! Armenia is said to be receiving the same drones soon.
Stealth to Radars:
Because of its shape, size, special composite materials, and interestingly slow speed, all US/NATO/Zion radars fail to detect it, only short range MANPADS or shoulder launched anti-air missiles might have a small chance of hitting the drone, even so they cost more!
Resilient to Electronic Warfare:
As suicide drones, it would be a waste of resource to have cameras and expensive sensors on them. So targets are painted for them by another drone such as Mohajer-6 on the go, or set as default in the beginning. There is no continuous communication between Shahed 136 and the control base. These are mostly fire and forget. Most of the Jammer guns are deigned for smaller quad copter type drones that fly lower. These are modular so different electronic warfare boards can be inserted or removed as needed.
Very Accurate:
Analysts are still talking about GPS, but to be honest that can’t achieve the level of accuracy. I know for a fact that Iranian missiles use high quality and “well calibrated” Fiber-Optic-Gyroscopes in their 3 axis Inertial-Navigation-Systems. These FOGs work by passing polarized light through an optical fiber loop, using Sagnac-Interference to measure rotational speed and direction very accurately. While cheap to make they have to be highly calibrated which is apparently not easy. FOGs are very resistant to pressure and vibration. So it is possible that these drones may also use these that can be useful specially in the diving phase. Furthermore great accuracy of Iranian ballistic missiles are in part due to topographic data handling, based on my findings Iranian missiles likely don’t use GPS or similar navigation systems, instead they compare data from their topographic scanner against the default topographic data and with their accurate FOG they can correct coarse and guide the separated warhead.
Long Range:
These drones can have a range of 2000 KM depending on their mission type and loitering time.

Yemen the poorest Arab country gets to receive and even make its own longer range missiles and drones from Iran but the White Superior Ukrainians don’t deserve such weapons from US and NATO, that’s a new low for the White people. But these drones probably have killed less civilians than the missed MANPAD missiles launched by the Ukrainians themselves!
After US and UK, Ukraine had the most boots on the ground in Iraq, they supported Trump’s maximum pressure on Iran as well and generally have been a lackey of the US/NATO. They should be grateful that Russians did not take out their entire infrastructure in day one and that Iranian Shahed 136 drones are accurate and loud taunting the enemy and scaring away the civilians from key targets. Look they themselves say that as a result of drone attacks only 4 civilians have been killed! By all standards that’s great!
