It is as always good to hear George Gallaway and Gonzalo Lira talk. Here, they are busting the very silly lie, albeit the ubiquitous lie of the Western MSM, about the ‘glorious Ukrainian couner-offensive’.
Galloway brought up the Poroshenko perspective: this former Ukrainian PM’s alleged efforts. along with the high-level Ukrainian military, to delay that couter-offensive. The latter are said to have correctly deemed that it will fail at this time. But Zelenski needed a bout of celebration in the West, so he swept aside their reservations. And it did fail: some 40,000 Ukrainian military personnel lost to death and incapacitating injury, and no military gain to speak of. Neither Galloway nor Lira ventured into the ‘what next?’ territory.
That was probably wisely done, for Sergei Lavrov, giving a press interview at the UNGA, steered clear of it too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjysSk7Z8_E . Typically, he did not attempt to hide this: The shrill demand of the Reuters journalist to know, among other things, whether China is ‘putting pressure’ on Russia to end the war’ , got only this sardonic response: ‘You have my permission to say that I refused to answer your question.’ Remember the small Chinese battle unit that entered Ukraine on its armoured vehicles … through Russia, the red star blazoned on its sides? Something is afoot, and even the pundits do not know what. But it is looking big.

Quite a good interview, even though it is at this point about 3 weeks out of date.
Not that it would ordinarily matter except that it is a rapidly evolving dynamic.
If anything, the subsequent action has pretty much supported Gonzalo’s take.

George Galloway lives in a very oppressive regime and it therefore takes considerable time to contact him. I’m sure that everybody is doing their very best to keep you informed.

Hmm.. Can’t be correct ?? I just heard a couple of hours ago on our free western media , that Russian army is struggling in the Ukraine & is very close to a total defeat brought by the victorious Zelensky Democratic Army ??
