Mercouris’s capture of the dynamics of the geo-political factors of the present day is as breathtaking as is the unfaultable rationality of his analysis of them. I hope and pray that at least the Europeans will heed his warnings. But, as he says, the present-day European political leadership is simply not up to that job.
In the light of Mercouris’s analysis, what can we expect this winter? My simplistic guess is that the European political leadership has arranged its own survival bolt hole, and the rest of us will be left in the ‘survival of the fittest’ lane. That is terrifying.
