I don’t like cities , generally, but Cairo I really liked. I’ve not been there since the late 80’s but the couple of times I visited I’d walk miles, being invitited in and having tea and talking with the small tradesmen and traders in the Khan El-Khalili . The people I met there were ,in my opinion then, and still to this day probably the best I’ve met anywhere. A more genuinely good- natured , welcoming people ,en-masse, you’d be hard put to find.
As to the pyramids, I got an odd feeling too and I wouldn’t say I was awestruck. It was something I couldn’t put my finger on like a question emerging but not yet voiced. I still don’t know what to make of it.
I’ve recently been reading about the Conquistadors and photos of the pyramids of the Americas evoke the same feeling, especially when I ‘m told the Aztecs, Mayans and Incas came into possession of these pyramids from older disappeared civilizations.
Having said that, I find Max’s videos interesting and engaging but I don’t know how he got that vibe from the Egyptians,
