Here’s the deal, how much longer is Russia going to put up with Zelensky and the US meddling in Ukraine? Russia needs to cut off the head of the snake and stop the destruction. So long as Zelensky is in charge there will be war until everyone is dead and everything is wrecked.

Yes, in a perfect world, the Russians want Z to sign, but they know this is now a long shot.
The idea that UKraine will collapse when Z dies is a bit rich. UKraine was bankrupt before the 2014 coup, is has been mega bust since the SMO started. Sure, Russia can run UKraine, but they don’t need to pay Nazi wages. The UKraine military can disband and make their way to the ‘English Channel’… lol Boris will be there with wads of money and medels.
The Russians will feel zero responsibility towards Western UKrainians, they can flee to the EU.

If as Gonzo suggests, UKraine in chaos, but Russia will control the harvest, and who gets it.

We have not heard or seen Zelenski for at least two weeks. Yesterday, a US political voice expressed fear for his safety. And today, 24/7/22, a strange YouTube video appeared: ‘Top US delegation visits Ukraine’:
Nothing is said about why they are there, or who they are. We are not told even that they are visiting Zelenski. And it is not confirmed that the chap with the back of his head to the camera is Zelenski; we are left to assume it from his hair and beard style. And the four members of that delegation are not fawning on him, as is usual in such scenes Indeed, one member of that top delegation appears to be berating him. Even Robert (comment above) must concede that this is all a bit unnerving, even sinister.

I can see how Russia might want, (or not want,) Zelensky’s demise but I can’t see why his own paymasters would seek to snuff him out. The Ukranian President is still a dependable song and dance act for repertory globalism.
