Being neither a “Flat-Earther”, nor a “Globe-Earther” but just an ordinary “Questioning-Earther” seeking an answer to a simple question; “why is it possible to see Calais or at least its cliffs from Dover, (subject to the weather conditions of course), and vice-versa if the earth was a globe?
I have experienced this in both directions several times.

There are hundreds of ways to easily prove the earth is a sphere. For one you can look at the rotating sun but it always is a circle, or you can watch the live space station feed as it orbits the earth, or send up a satellite and park it at a Lagrange point and view the earth as it rotates. Also by deduction if a space ship to Mars shows a sphere then you can deduce you must be on one also.
One of my favorites is that gravity would not be constant on the earth’s surface if it was not a sphere. Or that ships and aircraft transversing long distances must use spherical navigation math. Apparently flat earthers are ignorant of how to navigate the pacific ocean you can not use flat earth math or you would end up a thousand miles off course.
Seriously if you attempted to navigate a jet with euclidean geometry you might run out of fuel and end up in the middle of nowhere. So this flat earth stuff is complete nonsense and annoying as fuck and I wish anyone who believes it to go join a commie kibbutz in Israhell and then you can yada it up all you want to some fat assed Rabbi with a black cube on his forehead about “god” and “flat earth” ’cause that’s what the Torah says.

AB–I will try to explain: if you had a horizontal curve, the arc would need to bump into the next one at some stage. How many of these arcs do you wish to see in the 360 degrees, an infinite number? Obviously you will have to be seeing a straight line and not a series of arcs. So I explained, but this usually has no effect on FE fanatics
