There was a joke I saw a while back, that fits with the insurgent idea of this article, and makes great fun of American “affirmative action” hiring quotas too, and their cluelessness regarding anything outside their own borders. The joke went something along these lines, I modified it just a bit: The CIA trains this guy to spy on Russia, spends huge amounts of time and trouble teaching him to speak perfect Russian, with perfect mannerisms, and all the rest, in order to infiltrate him into Russia as a spy. Within an hour or so of his arrival in his new job, this elderly babushka comes up to him and after speaking to him for a bit, asks him why he is there spying on them. So he asks her perplexed, “why do you think I am a spy for America?”. She laughingly tells him that they don’t have blacks in Russia.

Russia doesn’t want Notthern or Western Ukraine. What will be left is the West and the North – a rump state. There will be no ‘insurgency’ in eastern or southern Ukraine. What the West is planning is a TERRORIST campaign, based in the rump state and striking into the Russian speaking areas.
